Very early days I know but would love to talk to others in same situation. This is no. 3 (no. 2 was a mere 1 week fantasy last year) so am keeping this one to myself (and all of you).

Anyone else?

Thanks Deeno, catch you soon, and you were drunk.

hana · 19/06/2004 16:12

welcome fortnight! I'm due at the end of Dec - my parents are planning to come and stay for a few weeks. Nothing like mum's Christmas dinner, yummy!

And Ronniebaby - congrats again, must feel good to 'out' yourself!!

Ronniebaby · 19/06/2004 22:34

Hana - yeh it is good to actually be me.

My outlaws even though my due date has changed have still said they will come and cook xmas dinner, nothing like someone else cooking

Oi do you mind??....

Nimme · 20/06/2004 20:28

Love to join you on whinge ggglimpopo

I have also graduated to maternity clothes - I am 15 weeks but look more like 20. I have bought some lovely jeans etc. which are no b..... use to me now it's so hot. I am off to Hennes and other cheapo stores (like??) next week for some cheap and cheerful shorts etc. Have been wearing DH's shorts (cut too short by me) - arse looks HUGE in them and I MUST buy something nicer - refuse to look entirely frumpy this time around.

I have piled on 6 kg - when completely naked before breakfast after wee! I really really hope it slows down a bit now or I will be as big as last time (18 kg) and that's NOT fair as I am eating so much better AND going to gym!!!!!

Also don't want to give up wearing wired bra's as now I finally have something to show off - I want to show them off .

Pause now to let others in on this whinge.

I'll whinge tooo, altho I'm a 12/14, arse is the 14, so all my clothes are 14's anyway, but they are getting a bit tight, so I've fished out my baggy summer dresses.

I resent having to buy M clothes, as I'll never wear them after, so I buy 16 etc and my sis can have them

hana · 21/06/2004 11:14

I'll join you on your whinge!! We're going to a wedding on Friday and I'm not big enough for mat clothes yet, and anything in a bigger size just isn't 'quite right'. At this stage I'll end up wearing my PJs!! I've also had a go at wearing DH's shorts - but far too unattractive and a wee bit tight too!! And I'm revelling in my new boobs too - I'm all the way up to an A cup (and boy what a difference to me ) have actually bought push up bras with wire - didn't make a difference last time so I'll wear these and enjoy it for a little longer!!

Had a scan yesterday - I really am pregnant and everything is absolutely fine!! The detail we could see was amazing - the baby wasn't in the right position so the Dr had to keep on prodding me - glad I had an empty bladder. DD was there and although she knew the pictures on the screen were of a baby, I don't thing she really knows that it's inside me yet. She's not yet 3, I think we'll wait a bit longer to say anything.

Feel so good today, what a difference yesterday made.

Ronniebaby · 21/06/2004 16:50

Hana, I know what you meanm, seeing it on the screen, makes all the difference.

I had 4 pictures from my scan, which is ace, they are now pride of place in Baby No.2 photo album.

DS knows mommy has a baby in her tummy as he climbs all over me so I've had to tell him and stop it. But cause I m/c'd last time he keeps asking if baby is still there (awww sweet).

fortnight · 25/06/2004 23:57

yes,I can definitely sympathise with everyone who is feeling larger than they would maybe like to be at this stage.I've just given up and bought some maternity tops,as I figured I'd rather look pregnant than fat!I'm still wearing jeans (just)as anything else makes me look huge. Glad to hear your scan went well hana,I've 2 more days to wait for mine-it seems like ages. We're going to leave the kids with my mum for it though,as I couldn't really trust them to behave(ds age 4,dd age 2).

smellymelly · 28/06/2004 10:01

Morning ladies - I have kind of stuck to the Jan thread, altough midwife has said it will more likely to be Nov, or Dec - aaggghh!

She also said I look 20 weeks now, even though I'm only 12! I can't lie on my back or front already. Thankfully I have quite a nice bump at the moment, I put on about half a stone a few weeks ago though, when I was eating 5 times a day to help with the sickness!

I have got over the sickness, but my tiredness and general feeling of shittiness (Sorry!) is quite waring. Mil even hoovered my house for me last sun, Bless.

When will I start to get some energy please?? Tell me you are all jumping about now! Getting married in 3.5 weeks, and would really like to enjoy it.

Great news on your scan Hana.

Canadianmom · 28/06/2004 17:09

Haven't had the courage to post here for a while. Hoping that things are still going well but the midwife could not find the heart beat yesterday at my booking-in appt. Fighting the urge to feel the 'been-here-done-this' feeling of my first miscarriage. Thankfully, I have my scan tomorrow so at least I will know one way or another.
On a positive note the midwife was lovely and was more outraged by my lack of appointments than I am. (I have been feeling somewhat resigned as there was NOTHING that stressing-out was doing to sort the situation.) She went on and on about how there is absolutely no excuse for the gp to have not booked an early scan as this is nearly always offered after a miscarriage if only to offer reassurance. She started by saying that I must be about 13 weeks by now and then did a double take when I said that I was 16... She assumed that I must have already seen the consultant and the cardiologist but those appointments are not until the last week of July.
My appoinment lasted an hour and a half and I just felt defeated by the time I left. The whole thing was surreal and made all the worse when she could not find the heart beat. ARGH! Sorry for the rant...

Fortnight, Hope your scan went well. Was it yesterday?
Hana, Great news about your scan! I know what you mean about the wedding and not having anything to wear. Been there done that; it really is much easier when you have an obvious belly and then you just HAVE to wear maternity clothes. Wish I had a helpful suggestion.

Ronniebaby, Great to know your real identity. Glad everything is going as it should be! (Even if isn't much fun feeling exhausted and too big!)

Jimjams · 28/06/2004 17:15

Well at least your midwife sounds good candaianmum- have everything crossed for you tomorrow.

Smelly- felt bloody awful last week (was in exeter actually - thought of you when we drove past the R D and E)but am feeling much sprightlier this week- people have said I look less washed out!

Ronniebaby · 28/06/2004 20:12

Jimjams - I'm with you, please say I dont look so gaunt etc.

Canadianmom - Hope all goes well at your scan, fingers crossed, please let us know.

I am feeling more tired earlier this time round, heres hoping I bloom and get loads of energy

Keep in touch ladies

Do you mind if I just pop in to say hi to Hana (and all the other TTC thread graduates). Glad that everything is going well for you (and me, and 21 weeks now! Having a boy! )

x

Jimjams · 29/06/2004 13:55

When did you start feeling the kicking gglimp? I thought I felt something this morning and yesterday but I'm only 13 weeks so am thinking it must be impossible. I felt ds1 at 20 weeks and ds2 only a little earlier.....

hana · 29/06/2004 14:13

wondering if I'm feeling kicks too - try to tell myself it is but then they go away! At the scan the baby was pushing itself against my womb with its legs stretching out - strange to see it but not feel it.
Canadianmom - hope that your scan today was good news.....and that you will have all of your appts on time and booked as well!
did you do any more work ggglimpopo?? I find it had to motivate myself just with jobs around the house let alone proper paid work!!
Still a bit tired but haven't been sick for a week. So much better.
Hope everyone is feeling well and the energy is ebbing back....

scubamum2b · 29/06/2004 14:28

A friend described the first feelings as ripple or wave over the tummy. I have not felt that but did feel something last night. Was laying down on the sofa with my hand resting on my tummy and felt something, discounted it (thought to early 15.5wks) but had same faint feeling twice more. I am sure it was not any digestive movements, so maybe it was baby

As for scans, I have to wait another 5wks. Thought I had back ache last week, but saw Dr on Mon and she is sure it is a kidney infection (great!) which will be confirmed later today when the results come back.

Canadianmom · 29/06/2004 22:53

The scan confirmed the worst. Missed-miscarriage again. Feeling doubly heartbroken as the first discovery was we were expecting twins... I was barely over this first shock when the sonographer told us that he was having trouble finding either heatbeat. Gestational age was estimated to be about 14 weeks and I though I was between 15 +5 days and 16+3... Was encouraged to have an ERPC but left the hospital with the intention of thinking it through some more as the last experience still gives me nightmares (literally).

Jimjams · 29/06/2004 23:42

So sorry candianmum

Ronniebaby · 30/06/2004 02:33
