Very early days I know but would love to talk to others in same situation. This is no. 3 (no. 2 was a mere 1 week fantasy last year) so am keeping this one to myself (and all of you).

Anyone else?

am having a girlie party very soon..... you can see where my mind lies....

hana · 27/04/2004 21:22

sorry - didn't see the catheter question - goes up your urethra through to your bladder so you don't wet yourself. I had an epidural so didn't feel it going in, and not much coming out either.

Nimme · 27/04/2004 21:23

Hana - anough fluffy stuff - back to the nitty gritty questions...

Soory - crossed there. That sounds painful and horrible. I was in ultra sterile conscience environment and didn't have. So what if no epidural??

Nimme - don't worry about catheter - for some reason I couldn't wee during labour with either pregnancy - catheter was painless and a great relief!

p.s. just posted to you about doulas

And Congrats by the way!

hana · 27/04/2004 21:30

it might not be nesary to have one - I remember being asked if I wanted one and just said yes. Where was your first born?

Nimme · 27/04/2004 21:30

In Russia

OP posts:
hana · 27/04/2004 21:40

that sounds very exotic! Are you Russian yourself? I'm from Canada, but have lived in the UK for nearly 8 (gulp) years now.

DelGirl · 27/04/2004 21:41

Hana - what did they ask you if you wanted? An enema or a catheter?

Nimme · 27/04/2004 21:49

Not Russian and not exotic - lived there for a while.

Just realised that if any friends out there will now know who I am. Too late.

OP posts:
hana · 27/04/2004 21:51

the catheter - never thought about asking for the enema - though perhaps I should have!

Nimme · 27/04/2004 21:51

Dinosaur - missed your message on here before. Good to know re catheter - was getting worried yet another painful thing to add to the whole experience. Thanks

Thanks harman. Very strange- it was only when everything (including dh) really stank this morning that I thought maybe I should test!

DelGirl · 28/04/2004 18:14

congratulations Jimjams

smellymelly · 28/04/2004 21:34

I just missed you lot on the due date, but I can't imagine I will get as far as Jan 2nd!!

So is it ok if I join here too, please?

Nimme · 28/04/2004 21:36

Smellymelly - absolutely, the more the merrier. I was 2 weeks early last time so should probably be on Nov thread...
