Very early days I know but would love to talk to others in same situation. This is no. 3 (no. 2 was a mere 1 week fantasy last year) so am keeping this one to myself (and all of you).

Anyone else?

hana · 24/04/2004 21:25

awww toothache, that's so lovely to read. Thank you.....you've just made me grin from ear to ear!

Congrats scubamum2b - is this your first?

scubamum2b · 24/04/2004 21:52

hana, yes it is my first. congrats on yours

No sickness (yet), had sore breasts since a few days after conception but have got better in the last few days, and can not go too far from a toilet with my bladder at the moment!

Jezebel · 25/04/2004 00:45

Hi Hana. Sore boobs and very knackered. drinking and peeing a lot. Don't think I normally need to pee in the night but I do now. I too would like an early scan but will hold off til 7 weeks (am only 5 and 2 days now). Can't really take this in yet. I also feel as if I can feel my womb like a sort of football. I remember now that I felt this with my dd ar the beginning. Do you know what I mean? Scubamum2b - CONGRATULATIONS.

MalibuBarbie · 26/04/2004 00:21

Well Congrats to all the Ladies due in December.

I am due on the 23/12/04.

But as it;s early we aint telling anyone yet, except you guys, as I had a M/C previously and we'd told all our friends and family.

So this time it's you guys only.

When is everyone else due. This will be my 2nd

DelGirl · 26/04/2004 17:19

Hello - have only just joined the site today though i've been looking through all the threads for the past few days....what a fantastic site.

Well, I've found out i'm pregnant today, hoorah, 4th IUI attempt! Last attempt initially sucessful but ended in m/c at 11 weeks but this one, I know, will be absolutely fine. Looking forward to joining in with the chit chat.......

DelGirl · 26/04/2004 17:26

Oops - meant to say congratulations to everyone else on this thread....haven't quite got the hang of it yet and they do say that being pregnant does something to your brain!!!! Well, that's my excuse.

hana · 27/04/2004 11:17

congratulations Malibubarbie and Delgirl! Lots of luck for a healthy pregnancy! Delgirl - what joy you must have felt when you found out this time was successful. There's (another) really supportive board here called 'for mums to be after m/c - so may see you there too.

This is our 2nd - we have a dd 2.6, she'll be 3.3 when this one is born.

Nimme · 27/04/2004 15:46

That makes 6 of us.

Congratulations to Scubamum2b, MalibuBarbie and DelGirl.

My boobs have almost gone up a cup size - yes! Please please can I keep them....

congratulations to all of you, especially DelGirl (you know who i am!) XXX

lou33 · 27/04/2004 16:49

Welcome from me too Delgirl (met you with Spacemonkey the other day) . Massive congratulations.

hana · 27/04/2004 16:56

nimme - I'm a AA.....just after dd was born went up to a D. I was so happy for several months!!! Getting a big bigger, will be nice to buy some 'pretty 'bras' instead of the tanks and camisoles that I usually wear....

and there is another graduate from ttc.....

Toothache · 27/04/2004 17:01

Hana - I think the new ttc graduate might have to start the January 2005 thread! My goodness, isn't this year flying!!?

DelGirl · 27/04/2004 19:03

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Hi spacemonkey and Lou33.

Want to ask my first embarrassing question - has anyone 'not' had sore boobs? I did last time - so much so I couldn't bear to take my bra off but can't remember when this kicked in - i'm sure it had by now and am concerned at the lack of symptoms, apart from needing the loo every 15 minutes!

DelGirl · 27/04/2004 19:05

btw- only just over 4 weeks

Nimme · 27/04/2004 20:48

DelGirl - Sore boobs almost from word go this time but only at around 6 weeks first time - was in gym bobbing on threadmill wondering why boobs so heavy before buying preg test no 67....

In fact I have so many symptoms this time round from early on. I don't think it means anything - each pregnancy will be different.

Hana - I've gone from A to B and remember getting to a D post birth but I don't remember them being all attractive - more stilton like (pale and covered in blue veins). No quite happy with B cup - already started working on DH to "keep" this size post birth - unfortunately he is in to the floppy look (could buy him rabbit?)

Thank you DelGirl for starting the embarrasing questions - here comes my first one.

Is it normal to have an enema here?? Had one with DD1 (was abroad) and although it isn't exactly dignified giving birth I do not want to worry about doing a poo in front of strangers. Call me a prude but that does worry me.

OP posts:
DelGirl · 27/04/2004 21:05

thanks for the advice nimme and for asking that all important question about enema's. I can only say I hope so.....but nobody likes to confess to that do they? Well maybe someone will on here! Oops - you did, sorry

hana · 27/04/2004 21:09

nimme - wasn't quite sure what kind of rabbit you meant there....!

about the enema - don't think it's normal practice, but doesn't mean you couldn't ask for one. I did (ahem, poo) and really it was the last thing on my mind. And speaking to friends (what an unusual sort of conversation , how would it have ever come up?!?) it happens quite lot. I was very concerned about not doing it - to the point of wanting to eat very little leading up to dd's due date, but kind of forgot about it once I was in actual labour. I don't even remember doing it - concentrating too much on the pushing, and I'm told by dh that the midwife was 'very discrete' about it all. I did have a catheter - remember it coming out.

Nimme · 27/04/2004 21:14

Hana - you'll regret answering this question because it leads to another: what's a catheter and where does it go? Sorry to ask such graphic questions but hey I need to know... Please

Nimme · 27/04/2004 21:15

Hana - more than one kind of rabbit (wasn't thing Playboy bunny)??
