Congratulations tomkat, she is gorgeous!

Will post the updated stats in a minute and add Lolly. There are quite a few of us due over the next 3-4 weeks.

Just went for a lovely walk in the sunshine but now I'm paying the price with super swollen feet, I can't even get my flip flops on! So I'm stuck inside with my feet propped up above my head Smile

klou I had terrible bleeds with my first as in I thought I was haemorrhaging but at each scan there he was alive and kicking. I only lost him after losing my mucus plug which a stupid GP misdiagnosed as thrush! My best friends cousin also had incredibly heavy bleeds with her DD and was then given a precautionary suture for the next pregnancy. Sometimes even when it seems completely crazy that they can survive in there they can. You sound exhausted with it all and so if you feel like you want to give it a few days to brave the hospital then do that as long as you don't develop a fever or bleed heavier. For some women they can still be testing positive after two weeks so that might not give you any peace of mind. We all know that horrendous walk to the scan with eyes watching you and your heart undoing so hard you think it will burst out of your chest. But it's going to be the only way to know for sure one way or the other. Take as much strength as you need from the rest of us. I'd do it for you if I could.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the silence lately, I've struggling a bit as I approached the times that I lost my last two pregnancies and haven't really felt like posting. So this is now officially my longest running pregnancy since my first which resulted in DS. In the last couple of days I've had the occasional glimmer of hope that this one might actually make it and even toyed with the idea of adding myself to the stats list. Think I'll wait until we've had a scan in a week or two though.

I may not have been posting, but I've been lurking and keeping up with the news. I'm so glad you got a good result at your scan after such a scare Cuppa and congratulations to the others who have had good scan news. Sorry you're still going through the mill Klou, hope you get some answers soon and you're getting the support you need. Keeping my fingers crossed for good news.

Welcome to the newbies, hope you find the thread as supportive as I have.

...and a huge welcome to the latest thread baby. Congratulations Tomkat, she's beautiful Grin

how far along are you now Ihave ? Have you got a reassurance scan booked in? I have just got to 9 weeks - longest ever - and am also feeling like there is a possibility. I have a scan on Tuesday afternoon and am hoping with all of my being there is a heartbeat.

1st fishslap moment of this thread. I'm at 23+2. Had (as I have on and off throughout) noticeable CM which can be quite yellow. Yesterday it was a little bit gloopy. It isn't massively different though.
Also have a bit of a muscular ache round the bottom of the bump today (again, have had this before, think it's pulled muscle + growth + poo).

Convinced myself that something is wrong and my plug is leaking out in my CM. Blush
Movement etc' is fine.

squiz here's your fish slap. Of course you know it's fine. You had a scan not long ago. Statistically, very very few pregnancy failed after the 20 week scan. And the most important thing of all, you are feeling regular movement. Enjoy the sunshine with a glass of squash! I'm really really longing a glass of white wine now, and keep thinking to myself, only 4 months to go and I can have a glass. I drank when I breastfeed last time, so I'll be doing the same and celebrate it with a big glass.

tomkat congrats. Such a lovely baby pic.

Hi guys,

Please can someone slap me with a fish please? I'm 5 weeks pg after IVF. I had a blighted ovum 8 months ago- horrible - and it's Taken a lot of work to get here. I'm terrified of a repeat performance.... Unfortunately I'm reading a book at the moment and the main characters sister has just had her second miscarriage- I know it's only fiction but the thing that's got me is that in the book her baby was due the day after her husbands birthday- exactly the same as me! I'm now convinced this is an omen or something. Aaarrggghh. Please can someone bring me to earth and tell me I'm an idiot? X

squizita · 18/05/2014 18:07

Chatty totally coincidental! There are all sorts of coincidences like that out there. The cells and blood and hormones can't read so won't know! :) Most likely they're just doing their thing and the pregnancy is fine.
Fish slap!

Thanks One tbh its pretty obvs muscle pain... Sitting in a comfy chair is fine, hanging out the washing achey. If it was more sinister it wouldn't only appear when I bend and stretch! Good excuse to sit on my bum and eat ice pops.

Only 6+3 moomin, but I lost both of the last two in week 6, so last week felt more like a month (especially since I had a lot of backache and cramping). Feels like forever since I got my bfp, can't believe it's only been 3 weeks! Planning to book a reassurance scan for 8 weeks. Good luck for yours on Tuesday!

Thanks squizita and I have to wait- I needed that!

How do people cope with 40 weeks of this? I've known for exactly 5 days and I'm already a nervous wreck. I suppose it's different for us on this thread as we've had things go wrong in the past I suppose, but still!

It certainly takes the shine off doesn't it chatty. I was so excited by this stage in my first pregnancy and couldn't wait to tell people. Yes I knew things could go wrong, but deep down I was supremely confident it was going to be fine - and it was. 2MC later I realise how lucky I was and just can't allow myself to get excited.

Take comfort that you're in good company here and handholding and fish slaps can be administered whenever required. And remember, happy endings do still happen as Tomkat has just so beautifully demonstrated Smile

Couldn't agree more Ihaveto ...and the time DRAGS....I thought is was forever since my scan and then worked out that it was only 3 weeks - how can three weeks have taken that long?!?! It definitely feels good to get past the MC dates. And good to have a short term goal with the reassurance scan. I think I'm down to counting the hours to mine - although dreading it at the same time. If only it could be over, with happy news now.

Congratulations tomkat, so beautiful.

I know how you feel with the waiting ihave, however today we are pregnant :)
I also want to wait until after ny next scan before daring risking adding myself to stats - see you there in a week or 2? X

sqiz, I'm sure baby is fine if you are feeling movements, hope you feel better soon.

chatty fact or fiction! it's horrible to be reminded! but it's NOT you. (Not that I'm any better...), hoping you feel calmer soon. I'd say switch books, but I'm normally better for finishing them than wondering...

klou hope things are settling for you.

I realised yesterday that I have a sty in my eye, really sore today, so back to the docs tomorrow. Feel like I live there ATM, but at least it's not pregnancy related.

HG meds have reduced the vomiting, but nausea and heartburn still constant. Does mean I can keep things down now, however really struggling to think of anything I feel like eating so tempting suggestions welcome, please. Right now I cook for the fam, and by the time it's done I can't face eating it. DS decided to cook pudding tonight to tempt me, lemon cheesecake - normally total yummers time, however unfortunately it was made with raw egg white :(

DH has made me a hammock in the garden to cheer me up ( and I suspect force rest! ) so I'm not surprised to check the forecast and see 2 weeks of rain .
