Morning all

Firstar-you seem very bright and active at the moment, where do i get some of your energy from???

I have my blood test tomorrow, so i guess test result will take another day. I 've been so tired again, I'm worried as it is a symptom.
I really want an un eventful pregnancy, what's happening. I hope this thread gets more boring.

lissie-i'll be thinking of you at 10am.

Uki · 07/02/2007 10:11

Hey is Ruby Wax, American. I only thought of her because I haven't heard of the other people and then vaguely thought she was English, I have no idea, but used to think she was so funny.

Fingers crossed for good news from Lissie...

time4tea · 07/02/2007 10:47

Uki, I must say I would feel a bit repulsed and weirded out at the thought of eating something so out of date... with the stress of the whole situation is probably keeping you feeling poorly. thinking positive thoughts for a good outcome.

doing better today thanks First-star - had a big talk with DH about what needs doing before Baby comes, and then the cleaner came yesterday and together we made good progress.. as I said before, this mad cleaning instinct is not me at all (au contraire, I am famously messy )

as a good friend of mine says, take it all in bite-size chunks

plus, the sunshine makes things better - maybe we'll all pick up a bit in spring XXXX

yeah i too have been doing less, dh works from home so i'm lucky there. I'm normaly very busy and friends and family say i take on to much. so i know the bored feeling

It's weird but I'm used to having high heart rate and high bp and now it's so low, i think it makes me weak, have no idea that's a medical fact but I do feel different

Hi
Back from dr. Heard baby's hb which was nice. He doesn't think I have too much chance of listeria, but had a blood test. So feel a bit better. Also asked about low blood pressure he said it might make me a little tired, but probably just the pregnancy.

I asked him about going on holiday and he said after 14 weeks as that is the final cut off point for m/c, so i still have another week till clear. I'm sure all the new pg ladies do not want to hear that, sorry!!!!I always thought it was 12 weeks.

Firstar- have you felt bean move yet? i'm probably imagining it but feel very aware of something growing and moving now, especially in bath.

I hope lissie and fettle log on before i go to bed. Fingers crossed for them

Good morning all!! Enjoying a day at home as I can't get into London... Shame! I don't feel like I've been in the office much after having time off with ds ill and more time off last week ill myself... Still, at least I am getting lots of R&R which must all be to the good!

Went to see the doctor about an earache and sod's law, it is the one day that my doctor has off so the doctor who saw me couldn't deal with my being pg. I have to go back next week to see my own doctor. Probably better as I am trying to hold out until after I am 7 weeks to see the doctor so that (with any luck) I can get a dating scan around 8 weeks at which point they stand a chance of seeing a heartbeat...

Good luck to Fettle and Lissie. Hope it's good news!!!

rubles · 08/02/2007 12:25

Good luck to Fettle and lissielou.
at you mumpbump staying at home. I feel completely done in and would love to have stayed in bed today.
UKI - fab news on the heartbeat. Did you hear it?
Time4tea - how're you getting along?

And how are all the other early people?

I am working really hard on being positive as worrying is no use to anyone. I keep repeating my 'I am pregnant' mantra to focus on the facts rather than worry about the what-ifs. I think it is working.

fettle · 08/02/2007 13:07

Hi All

Just checking in quickly - all ok. Saw heart beat with internal scan. Dates me at 6+3 weeks, which is exactly what I thought. So relieved, particularly as I'd conceived immediately after my last mc and I was just a bit concerned.

anyway, lady said I'm not out of the woods yet and has given me EPU direct line in case I have any more scares or worries, but I have a dating scan booked for 6 weeks tomorrow - that's going to drag by!

But i've passed my 2nd mc date of 5 weeks, now I have to get to 9 weeks to pass my 1st mc date (1 year ago tomorrow I started spotting, which signalled my first mc, so hoping this positive scan today is a good omen).

take care all

good luck Lissie - thinking of you, sweetheart.x

time4tea · 08/02/2007 13:13

Hello all, hoping for good news from Fettle and Lissie.

had a very broken night - DH had a nightmare, woke up shouting, then at 4am DS woke up crying. We had a nice time watching the snow for a bit, but now he is knackered and hyper whingy. Worth it (I think for the lovely moment of cuddle on the sofa watching the snow .

Uki - feeling crap like you do might just be pg , but similar symptoms are from low thyroid function, which is something I've had for a while. Blood test might show that up.

OK, time up, DS is UHU-ing himself as I type...

take care all if out and about, must be slippery (DS refuses to get out of pyjamas, suits me not to leave the house)

Fettle - excellent news!!

Daisybump · 08/02/2007 14:00

not posted for a while..so hello all the newbies and I hope all is going well.
Low iron levels could result in tiredness...I have a condition which results in low iron absorption and know that when my levels are low I feel very run down and listless. Been taking vits throughout, but think my levels have dipped again, so need to see the doc/mw for a blood test.
Juicy...I get days when my bean doesn't move around and think it must be the way she is lying...today it's like a trampoline tournament in there. I will mention it to the mw though. I know that they can be a bit dismissive sometimes, and maybe don't realise how much more tuned in you are after having had miscarriages.
hormones have been rampant recently to the point that I have taken to throwing things to vent my spleen and DH is wearing body armour. It's not nice and a bit terrifying (for me as well as DH). someone told me that girl babies cause more hormones than boy babies, and we're sure this is a pink one so maybe that explains it. At the minute I can't wait for the little horror to come out (funny that after all those weeks willing her to stay in!!) and am nearly into the third and final furlong so not that long to go really!!
Giving up work in only seven weeks (at 31 weeks) and can't wait.
Keep well and fingers and toes crossed for you all

Daisybump · 08/02/2007 14:05

time4tea...when are you due...it must be imminent...good luck

time4tea · 08/02/2007 14:10

Fettle - great news! our posts must have crossed. And Uki... surely listeria would have caused problems by now, it is great to have heard your beanie's heartbeat.

yes, I am imminent - CS booked for 10 days time Monday 19th will of course coach DH on how to use MN to let you all know XXXX

Taichimum · 08/02/2007 14:16

Congrats fettle. really pleased for you. I have a walk in EPu at Kings so will go there I think. Does anyone know when is the earliest sensible time to have a scan ie. to detect heartbeat?

Currently feel like I am about to have m/c. Last time it happened I felt really nauseous for a day (when I have no ms during pg's) followed by my stomach feeling like I had pulled all my muscles for about a week, then m/c. Last Friday same thing - felt really sick now today have that same feeling in stomach. Could be coincidence or could have pulled muscles trying to push a buggy through snow and ice up massive hill this morning. On the other hand this could be it.
It is really hard for me not to think the worst as I have no symptoms at all during pg. In one way I am lucky, but in another way there is no way of telling whether it is game over or not. I feel like I am just waiting to bleed.

Project Knicker Checking has now gone into overdrive.

You are right just rang Kings and they said seven weeks is best time to go for heartbeat. Guess I will have to sit it out...
