I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

Sounds good to me!!

DizzyKipper · 17/05/2012 16:02

Am I too early to join this thread? Currently 34+4, very very determined (not that that'll do me any good!) for DC to come at 37weeks!

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 17/05/2012 16:05

Nope feel free to join in and moan too if you want Grin

37+2 here, and joining! utterly utterly fed up now!

sunnybobs · 17/05/2012 16:13

38 + 5 and so ready to evict this bean! V keen not to be induced again as would really like home birth this time

ilovechips · 17/05/2012 16:21

39 weeks tomorrow, heartily sick of being so uncomfortable! Baby's head still not engaged at all so is still high up causing me to be breathless all the time, and is also currently back to back, which was news I was dreading after my daughter was born back to back after a nightmare somewhat prolonged labour! So, have been going for brisk walks, drinking RLT, and bought a gym ball which I've been kneeling over most of the afternoon...

Weezie85 · 17/05/2012 16:36

39+1 today. Very fed up, so tired of being huge. What's worse is I have absolutely no twinges or anything. I also have an exam tomorrow so that should be fun.

blondiedollface · 17/05/2012 16:38

So what methods is everyone going to be having a bash at?

I'm currently thinking Clarysage.. Have had 4 days where I have been contracting irregulary over the past 10 days and I'm fed up now!!!

luckysocks · 17/05/2012 16:46

ilovechips I'm 39 weeks tomorrow too :) I'm not sure I really belong here as I've only just finished work and DS's nursery days this week have been heaven, so I'm not ready for her to come just yet as I'd like to do the same next week!

Having said that, my days with DS, which I usually live for, are utterly wearing me out at the moment so by tomorrow evening I'll be back to hoping she arrives soon.

My bump is enormous and today when I reached to grab the fairy liquid, I sort of pinged off the counter and banged the back of my head on the cooker hood! None of my clothes fit anymore and I'm so emotional at the moment. Also a bit 'fizzy' from being scared about the birth and just wanting to get it over with... and excitement about meeting our baby.

Kveta · 17/05/2012 16:47

I'm going for waiting, at least until june 2nd, as we don't have childcare for DS until then!!

however, if she fancies arriving earlier, and DH can't be there, we'd be delighted, as he is as sick of this pg as I am :o

vix1980 · 17/05/2012 16:53

OOh can i join please, currently 36 weeks nearly and ready for project evict the child to commence. sick of the heartburn, breathlessness, aching hips. i just want it all over now. oh and the new joy i discovered recently (sorry for tmi) but i can no longer hold my own pee when i fart!

ive turned into my nan Sad

how are you all getting a scan to see how big the baby is? does everybody get them, i dont think ive had it mentioned to me as i only thought you got 2 which was the 12 and 20 week ones? id love for a clue on the weight - my brothers got a book running so id be right in there with my months wages if i had an inkling!

SwivelHips · 17/05/2012 17:12

Hmmm I think this is my bus :D
I'm 38 and a bit weeks, only just started mat leave so I'm not quite ready to go yet. Mind in saying that something has changed down below today and I'm not feeling as sprightly as I have been. I nearly fainted when I caught sight of me (nude) in our full length mirror. What a state and who's legs are these...

No scan for me either Vix...I have no idea how big this baby is. I get measured with a tape measure and that's been it.

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 17/05/2012 17:42

I got an extra scan because round here they plot your fundal height onto a graph-3 weeks ago I measured a week ahead, last Friday I measured exactly right for 35 weeks. But protocol said I had to go in for a growth scan Hmm. Wast of funds imo but hey ho.

hippieshake · 17/05/2012 18:18

38 weeks tomorrow and no sign of the baby yet. I've been having back ache and period pains with strong Braxton Hicks for 2 weeks now... plus I'm shattered because the little one likes to kick me all through the night.

Had a scan on Tuesday because she was measuring small, and it showed that her head is really far down, which is causing a lot of pain when she moves.

I'm taking Raspberry Leaf Tea and walking for England. Let's get this baby out!! x

DizzyKipper · 17/05/2012 18:45

Thanks for letting me stay, I feel a bit bad being so much earlier than the rest of you and to be already complaining. I've vulval varicose veins (had them since 23weeks) which are causing a LOT of pain and which have also started spreading to my legs now as well. I didn't realise pregnancy could actually make your bits turn purple and swell up like a balloon! Hmm

Right now blondie I'm just trying to keep as active as possible and for as long as possible - I vaguely recall reading somewhere that keeping active increases the chances of not going overdue, not sure if it's true but I'm hoping!

vix1980 · 17/05/2012 19:15

If being active and not going overdue is true then this baby should of been well out by now, ive spent the last years renovating our house, even today have been sanding and painting the staircase, were nearly done, knowing my luck ill finish it all have a good sleep then baby will be here leaving no time to rest myself!

DizzyKipper · 17/05/2012 19:25

Oh crap, decided to have another google after you said that vix and found other forums with women saying staying active can even have the opposite affect - I hope not Sad Do you have a lot more to do to your house? We're also trying to get as much done as possible before the LO arrives - mostly painting bedrooms and acquiring furniture/putting up shelves etc.

Commutinghell · 17/05/2012 20:07

Hey. Please can I join in? 38 + 4, not finishing work until next week. Feeling fine but desperate to get this baby out!

What's this about being active having the opposite effect rather than making it come on time? Really? I haven't read that! Please tell me all that hard work hasn't been for nothing Sad

DizzyKipper · 17/05/2012 20:18

Just hearsay from other forums I googled, I guess activity levels probably don't have an affect either way and it's a case of the baby coming when it's ready. Like you I'm planning to work right up to 39weeks, even now it's not pleasant but I've been telling myself "at least it'll mean I'm less likely to go overdue" - will definitely feel gutted if I put in all that hard work and it doesn't help at all.

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 17/05/2012 20:41

So latest random pregnancy symptom I now have to contend with is the constant feeling like I need to wee Sad. Will visit gp in morning just incase I have a uti but I suspect it may just be baby squashing my bladder even more Sad

OP posts:
Kveta · 17/05/2012 20:48

I'm the same blue

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 17/05/2012 20:50

It's possibly the most uncomfortable feeling ever. I just want to sit on toilet and stay there!

OP posts:
luckysocks · 17/05/2012 20:55

Actually, I think that might be the symptom which annoys me the most. Do you have days when, when you get up to flush, you already need a wee again?? It's hopeless. And it does feel stingy and uncomfortable, I swear I've had a bum on my bladder and an elbow in my urethra for half this pregnancy.

SilverSage · 17/05/2012 20:57

I'm 36+4 and already stressing about going overdue and having to be induced! I had the misfortune of spending a couple of nights on the antenatal ward recently around women being induced, and it does not look pleasant. I'm 37 weeks on sunday, so will be commencing a regime of RLT and lots of sex in a bid to get this baby out. My husband's not going to know what's hit him lol!

vix1980 · 17/05/2012 21:09

dizzykipper i seriously hope it doesnt have the opposite effect, that means the baby will be in there till christmas. Is this your first though?, they say you usually go over a bit but im really planning not to go over at all and in fact surprise everyone by sneezing it out a couple of weeks early Wink

I still have quite a bit to do, the nursery is nowhere near done but not to bothered as itl be in my room for a few months anyway, just trying to get the main living rooms done at least so the midwife doesnt come and visit me and look down on me for having no wallpaper Smile
