I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

Ah congratulations littlemiss! I will not be trying castor oil then that sounds scary!

I have had my hair done so the baby can come of it likes from now on although am visiting a special school for DD tomorrow so may be best to wait till after that...and I would like to get my toenails painted as can't reach-possibly some hair removal too...

This morning I woke feeling something come out of me-it was watery but not enough to be waters which is what happened friday. Ignored it, took off wet knickers (sorry TMI!) and got up to do packed lunches but more tricled down my leg! The had a shower and put a pad on which is what the midwife suggested if it happens again but nothing since. So probably discharge?! Very odd and no point getting checked over as there is nothing on the pad as it has stopped now. Definately not wee-I also wet myself this morning and it was totally different ha ha!

SwivelHips · 22/05/2012 13:34

Hmm sounds promising doesn't it...sorry I'm clueless and not much help to you...

I've also had all my bits done, well everything apart from my bikini which is still too tender. My toes are the only bit of me I like at the minute :)

used2bthin · 22/05/2012 13:56

I am not sure. Well done getting stuff done I've not even got nursing bras yet! Am really feeling this heat today which is good but a bit exhausting. Taking DD for a picnic after school and already worryng about how hot the car is going to be!

TangleStash · 22/05/2012 14:28

Congrats littlemiss :) My mother keeps suggesting castor oil but it sounds a bit nasty to me. Had lots of BH and cramping last night so went to bed all excited...and nothing. 41+2 and nothing. Starting to feel pretty frustrated and pissed off now. Grrrrr. I hate unpunctual people!

SilverSage · 22/05/2012 17:44

I had a cuddle with a newborn baby this afternoon. Do you reckon that would do anything?

Commutinghell · 22/05/2012 19:46

Ooh yes that's supposed to work! Let us know! Grin

ladyparking · 22/05/2012 21:06

Usedtobethin, i had a watery but not enough to be waters incident, my midwife made v encouraging noises about cervical ligaments disolving in preparation. Ie close but no cigar yet!

used2bthin · 22/05/2012 21:17

ladyparking was it you whose DH thought you'd wet yourself?I think my friend was told same re ligaments. But then her friend had slow leakage of waters so I am now feeling guilty for not getting checked out. Had a similar thng friday. And can't think what they could check as it stopped.

Can feel the baby at my pelvis this eve it is so uncomfortable. Lots of pains but not contractions just position. And so tired from the heat and a busy day.

SwivelHips · 23/05/2012 09:11

How can I be this old and not know about all this stuff....leakage from cervical ligaments disolving....wtf...my pregnancy IQ is way below average.

Nothing new here symptom wise...bump has dropped about a millimetre.

How's everyone else doing?

SilverSage · 23/05/2012 09:34

Well baby cuddles didn't work for me, as nada!

But I've got this hand expressing business down!! My boobs have tended to leak a tiny bit every time I've let them out since about 27 weeks, so I'd tried the hand expressing suggested on here with no joy up until now. Like someone else said, I was lucky to get a few tiny drops. But I watched a video on Youtube this morning, and turns out I was doing it all wrong. I just had another go and was actually amazed at how much I was able to get out! If that really helps to bring on labour then she should be here in no time!

iowmum88 · 23/05/2012 09:57

Hi can I join in please!! 39 weeks today got a DS of 2.9 years had him at 34 weeks so never expected to get this far at least the sunshine is making it a bit more bearable!!

Haven't had a chance to read through all posts yet so will do that today in the sunshine!

SwivelHips · 23/05/2012 10:43

Hi iowmum, you're lucky the sun is still with you, enjoy. Blinking well cloudy here today so I might clean a cupboard out :(

Good call Silver. I've just looked at the video on You Tube and I've also been doing it wrong, I shall give it a go later and see how it goes. I've been doing this since 37 wks so I'm now thinking I've probably been wasting my bloody time these past few weeks

Weezie85 · 23/05/2012 11:33

Due date today and still nothing. I am not even feeling like baby will be coming out anytime soon. Been walking loads and nothing. Don't really think curry will help as I tend to eat spicy food anyway, not a chance I am doing the castor oil.
Felt slightly crampy yesterday and now nothing today. Only new symptom is(and TMI alert) is a slight increase in discharge. At my 38 week appointment baby had only just engaged.
So fed up and just want the baby out now.

TangleStash · 23/05/2012 14:15

41+3 today and nothing. Going for a biophysical profile and stretch & sweep afternoon. Mini Tangle is still pretty active but I am getting irrational fears that something is wrong as she is late. Silly I know. Looking forward to seeing her on the ultrasound though :)

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 23/05/2012 15:25

I'm hot and bothered Sad

I'm hiding from the sun, my poor ankles are fat and puffy! Oh to be pregnant in the winter!

Commutinghell · 23/05/2012 16:08

Ooh I might have a look at the hand expressing video too then. Loving the sunshine but I'm with you on the swollen feet and ankles. I am manky.

TangleStash · 23/05/2012 16:54

Just saw the youtube video and I'm not surprised I've had no luck with expressing anything. Will have a another go now I know how! My feet and hands are also like water-filled balloons. Horrid. My finger joints feel like they are getting arthritis - I don't know if this is because of the furious knitting I am doing to while away the hours or the swelling. Does anyone else have this?

SwivelHips · 23/05/2012 18:04

Have you been for your S&S Tangle?

I seem to be the only one not swelling up, but I'm probably the only one that has switched the central heating back on. Bloody cold here and I assure you I am one hot pregnant person (eww not hot in a sexual way I meant I'm usually sweating!!).

Watched the You Tube vid (was she wearing a black top?) and I'm still only producing a tiny amount. She also said look for the "change in texture" - I couldn't feel that either. I'll try again tomorrow :(

karatekimmi · 23/05/2012 18:31

Okay, its far too hot to be pregnant!
I've been gardening, had sex twice(he'll not be getting any when baby is here!!) but nothing! I still think it'll be June before flump turns up! My nipples have been leaking, so I might jump on the you tube expressing band wagon, it can't hurt!

used2bthin · 23/05/2012 20:33

is expressing meant to hurry things along? I have never leaked even when I have tried with this pregnancy or dd so I think it probably wouldn't work for me.

Am fed up with the heat but feel bad moaning as was moaning about the rain! Saw a friend yesterday who reminded me that when you are breastfeeding you feel baking hot too so that didn't cheer me up! I am sure it was less hot than being heavily pregnant though.

DH has just said he won't be having sex with me its too hot! Have eaten nearly a whole pineapple today.

Kveta · 23/05/2012 20:59

not sure how expressing will help? I'm still bfing DS once a day anyway, so if it does make a difference, I guess I'm covered in that respect!

I am also tired of the heat, 2 whole days of it and I'm wishing for the rain again! also it would mean not having to water my plants - tricky in hosepipe ban area, as it means lugging a watering can around the place!! although I did carry DS for about 500 metres up hill today, oops - it was either that or dealing with his tantrum though.

cupcakefairy · 23/05/2012 21:16

Ladies it was acupuncture that did it for me! Had a 1 hour treatment of needles in the sacrum, went into labour 3 hours later. Ds2 born last night at 9.22pm and by scan dates 41+6..the last day I was allowed on the mlu!
I also had increased discharge the few days before, and it was pink on the day he came.

Loads of good luck & labour vibes to you all..being overdue is just horrible but it really won't be long now!

McKayz · 23/05/2012 21:22

Congratulations cupcake!!!!

Commutinghell · 23/05/2012 21:33

Ah congratulations cupcake! I will be thinking about acupuncture when I'm overdue! Smile

ladyparking · 23/05/2012 22:04

hooray! love a delivery event, gives us all strength to go on. Come on sweaty fatties we can do it! used2be I think we are peas from a pod, ive also had deep pelvic engagement pains today. And more gunk.
Have to say now its sunny I'm no longer in a rush to birth- as any of us here who already have one know, there's no lolling around eating ice cream once we're on the other side, lets ENJOY our last days of freedom, ungainly and uncomfortable though we may be!
