Hi Ladies

Is anyone else struggling to gulp down enough water everyday? I think i got a bit dehydrated yesterday so trying harder today, just can't seem to get enough if the stuff! Blood sugar only 3. something at last check so low as bit worried it might be GD. LO likes kicking bladder atm so subconsciously probably not drinking enough to avoid loo trips!

Haven't bought anything yet was waiting for scan so let the shopping commence!! Have a good one everyone :)

WelshLadyCDF · 14/04/2012 14:43

Hi lois try mixing something nice with it some juice or squash? Have fun shopping I have got a few things for mine.
Xxx

Vinolover · 14/04/2012 16:51

Thanks marmite. I have my slobby jobbers on now and feel much better. Work wasnt bust at all and I managed to finish early :) Just waiting for 5 o clock to come so I can orde my Chinese (our sat night treat).

Lois I have to have squash with my water otherwise I just can't ge it down, unless is sparkling mineral wate or soda water.
Enjoy your shopping :)

NeedlesCuties · 14/04/2012 16:52

Right ladies, I'm off on my hols @ 5am in the morning, so this will be the last chance I can to get on MN till I get home in a week.

DH, DS and I are looking forward to lying on a beach and running about in the sun :)

I promise to read through all the 1000s of posts from now-when I come back for the purposes of updating the list. I'll re-post the epic list of awesomeness when I'm next online. I fully suspect we'll be onto Part 4 of the August thread, but will wait and see Wink

Hope you all (and all the bumps) have a happy and healthy week.

woopsidaisy · 14/04/2012 16:55

Have a great time Needles!

We got back from our gorgeous sunny holiday last weekend.

Envy
WelshLadyCDF · 14/04/2012 17:39

woops any recommendations on what to wear in a sunny place? Am off on hol in weeks and not sure what to get to wear...

dragonleo · 14/04/2012 18:33

Hi everyone- been aaages since i posted. Was away for easter and been super busy with work and studying etc.
24+1 now and feel like ive been preggers for ages yet there is still so long to go!
Chosen a buggy, got a changing table on freecycle and been given a moses basket and baby bouncer from friends who no longer need.
How is everyone preparing? What else do I need to think about?
Feeling ok these days- sore lower back only major issue at the mo.
Hope everyone's having a nice weekend

mrsmamma · 14/04/2012 19:42

Hey everyone! I was on this thread at the beginning and lost it!!! so glad to be back!! Im 25+1 now and things are coming along nicely. Other than ive just started an eating phase which is not good as am a bridesmaid aug 31st so am trying to keep weight gain to a minimum.

How is everyone?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ffscatmove · 15/04/2012 13:02

Glad to hear all is going well dragonleo & mrsmamma! I am getting over a manky cold but hoping to get back to my previous 'blooming' state!
V jel of all those off on hols... we are off to the Lakes at end of month for a family thing but as this involves a long drive (second half with MIL as nervous passenger) & DH doesn't drive I am not exactly looking forward to it!

I need reassurance - I have just spent £54 on a Moby D sling after having a play with a friends' one, is the only 'big' thing I have bought as am a bit paranoid about having stuff too early........... have I done a stupid thing?

ishopthereforeiam · 15/04/2012 16:06

Have a fab break needles

Hope you're feeling better FFS. And I don't think you've bought too early, I've ordered the pram etc now...

Am really struggling with sleep now, wake up almost every hour or just can't get to sleep even though totes shattered. Ah well, am now a lady of leisure so shall sleep during the day hopefully.

Anyone found they now have tbe pregnancy waddle?! Such a slow and unattractive gait I seem to have adopted!

PoppyS34wantsminieggs · 15/04/2012 16:51

Ham a weeble wobble - that's too funny :o (sorry!). Thanks 3bears, we didn't find much really, bah! :( hope your little boy is feeling a bit better and the vet trip went ok?

Another loo at 4am club-member here. It must give Bump some more room, because it wakes him up and he starts wriggling about. Probably removed his cushion!

Vino I seem to be putting on loads of weight as well, not eating loads either, think it must be growing time. What were your symptoms of SPD (sorry if that sounds a stupid question!).

Marmite I think bloods are done at the 28wk MW check up (don't quote me on that though!). I'm really cold as well, but that's really unlike me, I'm usually a radiator. I wondered if it was because I'm not eating enough? Lois I add squash to my water as well, otherwise I'd be rubbish at drinking enough.

Needles probably too late, but have an AMAZING holiday. Officialy very envious! Hey dragonleo and MrsMama waves glad you're both doing ok. I also don't think you've bought too early ishop, don't worry (I know how you feel though, we've bought nothing!) No waddle here, but I can't walk as fast anymore which is really annoying.
(24+1)

ffscatmove · 15/04/2012 17:28

Thanks ishop - I have decided I will start accepting the offered donations of moses basket etc after I've passed 25 weeks - that way I will have baby stuff (and so will be less likely to buy stuff I don't want need just for the hell of it) but give a nod to my sense of paranoia Hmm
Haven't started waddling yet (I think - oh god will have to get DH to observe me now!) but have noticed my walk to work has gone from 25 mins to more like 30-40 and I still get more out of breath (23+3)! Walking in the lakes will be interesting in 2 weeks time!

mrsmamma · 15/04/2012 18:26

Glad im not the only who has developed a waddle. IM getting quite a bit of pain in my pelivs when i walk and this is making my waddle worse.

I too have just started buying things! Only had a couple of baby grows prior to 25 weeks although im trying to spend money now but think im too fussy!

I dont know what im having sex wise so am trying to decorate a neutral nursery. My Father in Law but me a creamy/white cot and i have pine furntiure so am trying to get something to match both and it s a bit of a nightmare! Is anyone else finding neutral stuff a nightmare! everything is biege with bears on!

woopsidaisy · 15/04/2012 18:57

WelshLadyCDF, I loved my Boden maternity dress that I got in the last sale, so comfy.
The new one is lovely too. But the price is eek! I bought it with a good discount.
I am getting this in navy also, for Eurodisney next month.
I also have these leggings. They look vile in the picture, but decided to give them a go. They are fab, lovely over bump, fitted in the leg, good quality and nice and long. I'm 5'8''.
i also love these from Mothercare. Go with everything.
and finally, Superga in Ecru. Comfy!

woopsidaisy · 15/04/2012 19:00

Thought these were lovely in Clarks today too!

ffscatmove · 15/04/2012 19:17

Damn you woopsidaisy now you've made me look & I'd managed to keep away from Boden......... oooh nice things

woopsidaisy · 16/04/2012 07:41

Sorry, ffscatmove!
Tell me not to buy this bag. For Eurodisney and baby stuff?

woopsidaisy · 16/04/2012 07:43

Morning all!
Another week starts, back to work for me and school for the DCs. Will be 24 weeks in two days, can't believe how quick it is going by!

Lets finish this thread today....those December ladies are on their fourth thread! We need to chat more...Grin

Hope everyone has a good day.

capecath · 16/04/2012 08:08

Hey guys, just back after a super week away. DS was a star. Feeling like I've popped out in the last week!!

Just found out one of my best friends has breast cancer. She is just 29 and has a little 2-month-old (she had thought she had mastitis while breastfeeding him). Please will you pray for them. It is getting me kinda down :(

hamncheese · 16/04/2012 08:09

Good morning all.

Glad you are all enjoying the shopping... I'm now missing it as we are almost done!! Only things still needing bought (that aren't going to be gifts from family) are swaddling sheets (though I may make some of these) changing mat and a sling! I sort of just started buying anything after 12 weeks wanting to be ahead of the game...

Anyone got any good advice on slings? I don't want one of the carriers, really want a sling that can be in many positions but also allows arms and legs to stick out once baby is a bit bigger. Finding this one tricky as all these types seem to be online only, I want to try them out to make sure they don't make my already awful posture worse or give back pain etc. So, suggestions?

Two of my cats are sick today (UTI and eye infection) so having to take a trip to the vet later, no idea how I'm going to carry two cat baskets and bump but hey will manage. Poor moggers :(

23+2

hamncheese · 16/04/2012 08:12

Sorry to hear about your friend capecath. It's awful especially as she is so young, but that youth will be on her side for recovery I hope x

woopsidaisy · 16/04/2012 08:21

Awful news capecath.
The treatment now is wonderful, I really hope she makes a full recovery.

PoppyS34wantsminieggs · 16/04/2012 09:02

Thoughts with your friend capecath, hopefully they've caught it in time and can get cracking sorting it out. :(

We've bought absolutely nothing at all. Eek! Better start making a list of the essential items so I'm ready to go when I do start buying :)

first day back at work after two weeks, not been sleeping very well at all, feel shattered so this should be interesting!

hamncheese do they have any baby shows where you are at all? There is one in london and there are usually slings on show which some let you try out.

Westcountrylovescheese · 16/04/2012 09:04

Capecath, I really feel for you and am sending you and your friend best wishes. I went through this a couple of years ago with one of my best friends, it was the reason that me and DH got our act together and got married and now bump. Be strong x.

PoppyS34wantsminieggs · 16/04/2012 09:07

Almost won on ebay for one of those sleeping pillows, but was outbid right at the last minute. Bah! Having real trouble getting comfy and haven't slept well. Just wondering if they are worth the investment? Can't really afford to spend that much on a pillow, but will do for a good nights sleep!
