I forgot to add that the saying you always want what you can´t have is so true. The restaurants here all offer these huge yummy looking prawns in chilli and garlic and I have to say they look bloody lovely but strictly off limits. Have noticed this week that lying on my tummy has been getting progressively more uncomfortable and as a result my front is definitely browner than my backGrin.

therumoursaretrue · 22/02/2012 18:39

I am experiencing horrible skin too. Always had dry but perfectly clear skin before. It's now still uncomfortably dry but also breaking out really badly and it's driving me mad! DP has booked me a facial for the weekend, bless him, I must have been moaning like mad for him to even notice! Here's hoping that might improve things.

Can't wait for this gorgeous glow everyone keeps talking about!

0FrillyKnickers0 · 22/02/2012 19:56

PictureThis I am so jealous! I hope you're having a super lovely time :)

Rumour I am jealous of you too! A facial...how lush!! I just slathered Sudocrem on my face as it is meant to help get rid of acne. I think there's only so much we can do though as it's all hormonal.

Well, we are about to start season 4 of Grey's Anatomy. Love it!

Anyone doing anything nice tonight? x

therumoursaretrue · 22/02/2012 20:14

Oh Picture I'm sure that has been lovely! Where abouts have you been in the canaries?

I'm very impressed with his thoughtfullness Frilly, even if it doesn't help much I can't wait for 40 minutes of pure relaxation!

I am having an evening infront of the TV, with a stack of paperwork to do which will probably get ignored! One Born Every Minute and then Psychic Sally :)

Gingerelle · 22/02/2012 21:19

Hi mrs miggins how was woman in black? I saw theatre one twice too and screamed both times so can imagine I'll shame myself in the cinema too!

And re skin, I have gone mostly flakey dry (was oily combo) with patches of greasy spots. Sooo not a good look!

Absolutely shattered too but think it's partly cos of packing for move a week sat- can't wait to get into new place and start getting settled. Is anyone else moving? We love our flat but it's just far too tiny for the beans's arrival!

Hello can I join? Missingpate (31) dc1 12+5
Been a general mumsnet lurker for a while but had dating scan yesterday and was told dd 31 aug so thought I'd come and say hello. Was such a relief to see there's really a baby in there! Felt like such a long wait for the scan and been v lucky with no ms so was starting to wonder

MrsLister · 22/02/2012 22:10

Hello ladies. Just wanted to say:

YES to spotty skin
YES to being knackered
YES to itchy boobs

WHERE IS MY GLOW GODDAMIT!?

Oh and one other thing - I might be going mad but I'm sure I can feel flutterings? I'm going mad aren't I? I wouldn't be able to feel them this early with my first?

MrsL (12+6)

Angel786 · 22/02/2012 22:43

Welcome missing!

picture am v jealous Envy. Am still sleeping on tummy but it's getting more tricky! Tried all sorts of pregnancy pillows last time and ended up using a regular pillow to support the bump...

therumoursaretrue · 22/02/2012 23:23

MrsLister if your going mad I must be going mad with you! I was sure I felt a few tiny flutters this week. Very brief and almost unnoticeable but I was convinced! Everywhere seems to say 16 weeks or so for a first baby though and DP said I must just be feeling wind, so doubting myself now.

MrsLister · 23/02/2012 07:40

Thanks rumours - yeah am wondering if it's wind too but I'm definitely feeling something.

Wind or baby there's some fluttering afoot! :)

hamncheese · 23/02/2012 07:41

ginger I'm moving too... well... our flat is on the market currently. Have seen a brilliant house in price range that is being finished in April but I don't know if we will sell before someone else snaps it up. Too risky to take a reservation on it incase we don't sell in time :( But definitely also feeling anxious to move and have done before I get all big. Apparently the average viewing to sale rate is 15 and we've had 5 viewings so far in 3 weeks so... maybe in 6 weeks we will have sold but will the house still be there?! argh!

The3Bears · 23/02/2012 09:43

Hi everyone, hope all is well.
Im feeling v tired aswell and also huge atm even though im not i just feel like my body is changing so much and I am getting v emotional about it not sure why as in my 1st pregnancy I loved it! Mabye i'll enjoy it more when my bump is more noticeable as atm you cant tell till evening time Blush
Going to get all housework done today and mabye do some exercise Hmm if I feel up to it :) Hope everyone has a lovely day!

The3Bears · 23/02/2012 10:31

Sorry forgot 15+5 today

MrsMigginslovespies · 23/02/2012 11:04

Man, am really jealous people are feeling baby move. I've felt zip so far. Am also starting to not be comfortable sleeping on stomach, and have moved over to my lefthand side (which I also like).

Gingerelle Woman in Black is great. I did close my eyes at the scary bits or hide behind my coat Blush. DH was laughing at me. It's well done and worth seeing. But to be honest, I still prefered the stage version, as I like to use my imagination, and it's all done for me in a film. But it is cool and Daniel R is very good and not very Potter-ish at all.

Am randomly off to see a house in 30 mins! Completely last minute, found it last night whilst poking about on Prime Location and they can show me round this morning. It's a new build which isn't my dream at all, but they've got a good buyer's incentive, it's in a lovely part of town and might be nice. Or not. Dunno, will have a look. Plus I get to wear a hard hat which is always fun Wink. Will report back.

glittershoes · 23/02/2012 11:22

Don't talk to me about the spots! I have proper teenage ones on my chin and I am sick of them!

Debuting my black bump band today and loving it! Just realised how pregnant I look though! It seems without the restraints of a proper buttoned waistband I pop right out! Only one question Bump Band lovers - do you layer the band under your top or over it?

Ginger, Ham and MrsM - we are moving too! Only renting but a lovely three bedroom house in a great village. We move on 15th March but I haven't attempted packing yet. Anyone know any super cheap places to get boxes/packing material? We have A LOT of books!

Still knackered at the moment and the idea of packing and sorting isn't appealing. Plus I have a million companies to call about the move - utilities, insurance, Sky, phones etc.. Anyone have any advice or a guide to moving? It is our first move since we moved there from uni/home six years ago and I have no clue about when to inform suppliers or when to expect first bills for the house/hidden costs etc..

Touching wood I am starting to come out of the tiredness I think.

Anyone else upping the game on names? I spent all of yesterday making a massive list of all the names I would consider for a first name, I literally read five name books and came back with 33 girls and 25 boys. I proudly presented to DH, informing him to do the same and then we could compare. Out of my list he apparently 'kind of likes' nine of them. Total. Could be a looooong process!

0FrillyKnickers0 · 23/02/2012 13:08

Right. That's it. I HAVE to order some bump bands!

Mrs L...I could've sworn you were further ahead than me? I spose we're only a few days apart but still...It feels like I'm just late in having my scan!

WELCOME Missing!! Nice to meet you :)

Right. Must go and drink more fluids for this scan!! WOOOP!

Lovemarmite · 23/02/2012 13:38

Thanks needles for the latest list, it's great to see so many of us for August.

Hi there missingpate!

I think I might hold off a bump band for a while, are they for support or making clothes look better i.e. tucking things in and not showing skin? Sorry, I'm a bit naive!

I've just discovered smarties little eggs - ooo yum, huge oval smarties! Hmm, great for my spots I'm sure.

Think I'm getting flutterings, I'm 15+5 and although DC1 the feelings are faint but there... or it could just be wind still I guess Wink

capecath · 23/02/2012 14:22

Besides itchy boobs, anyone else's feeling really big?! I thought it was far too early for this... but my underwires are starting to get sore! Feeling like a blob. Ugh.

MrsMigginslovespies · 23/02/2012 14:52

God, I've been in nursing bras since 7 weeks! I went from 32dd to 34F (I laughed when she told me the size!) very quickly and everything got very uncomfortable. Bloody hate nursing bras though as give me rubbish shape and ride up a bit. Would quite like one of those vest tops with a support bit in them. My sis said they were good, especially to sleep in by the end.

Lovemarmite · 23/02/2012 15:13

Oh yes, I've got boobs at last and loving them, apart from the pain!
I bought two new bras about 3 weeks ago, both vest types and already I think they're too small - oh dear, spent a little fortune on them too. Bought from sweaty betty, love their stuff as they last for ages and so comfie. 15% off code: CDBF26 if it helps anyone.

Rest of me has started to swell too. I think my bump is little but the rest of me feels all larger!

0FrillyKnickers0 · 23/02/2012 15:43

Scan went really well! Although, this baby is a wriggler so she couldn't get a profile shot!! However, we saw him/her doing back flips, rolling around, scratch it's little ear! Uh, it was amazing :) My dates were spot on and I couldn't be happier. Now all I need is for this sickness to bugger off!!

OP posts:
MrsLister · 23/02/2012 15:55

Hurrah!! Great news frilly!! And yes - I'm only two days behind you :)

I went to M&S today to get measured for a new bra as my tits have been KILLING me for the past 2 weeks in my normal underwired - properly leaving angry red marks and welts. Anyway I've gone up a size and when I asked to try on some underwired bras in a size bigger the fitter refused! Was quite funny - she was a tiny, older lady that you would be scared to say no to!

Anyway I said 'I really don't feel non-wired would offer me support day to day' (I'm a 34FF normally) and she said 'well try them on and see'. Anyway low and behold they were really comfy! Can't believe I am going to be wearing non-wired bras with tatas my size!

I don't actually mind the look either - I like to think of it as 'sexy 1950's housewife'

cough

;)

Vinolover · 23/02/2012 16:44

Fantastic news Frilly. It's so amazing to see isn't it and kind of surreal! I certainly am not blooming either even though i've been told I look really well!?! Er no I do not! I look and feel constantly exhausted which is making me pretty miserable.

I love my bump bands and wear them over my tops :) It was so nice wearing maternity trousers to work today - was soooo comfy! Think I may need to buy a few more pairs.
