nenehooo okay thank you, I will take one with me then...I never know what to put it in Blush

I love OBEM too, I cried alot when I wasn't pregnant so now it is even worse! I'll be watching Daddy Daycare before it too!

Bubblebell1 · 15/02/2012 18:41

Hey all. Sorry I havnt been on or had chance to catch up on what I've missed. Feeling Yuck and been so busy with kids etc.

Hope everyone is ok.

I had my booking in appointment today.
I'm 6+3 and my due date is 6 oct. Would one of you lovely ladies add me on please. I can't because I'm using my phone.

Sending sticky vibes to you all x

nenehooo · 15/02/2012 18:45

Me too!!! On all counts - had already booked a hairdressers appointment for Fri morning, so gonna have to take my wee sample with me Grin
Last week I was in tears from the beginning of OBEM - that was the day I was officially late and was hysterical by the end of the episode... still got a shock when I got a BFP on Sat - should've known really! Think DH might kill me if I try to watch Daddy Daycare as well - maybe I'll guilt trip him cos he hasn't read the baby book I bought yet Hmm
Enjoy baby night on TV!

nenehooo · 15/02/2012 18:47

Felt a bit sick this morning for the first time. When my class were sat in front of me at 9am I was wondering how I could leave the classroom elegantly without the students thinking something was up.

Anybody got any tips on how to be discreet with morning sickness? Should I just try and get up a lot earlier? (really don't fancy this!)

Zoeplankton · 15/02/2012 19:43

Oh, limejelly. You're not alone.

We were trying too. And yet, when I saw those two little lines, my reaction was...

'OH FCK OH FCK OH F*CK'

...repeated until I burst into tears. Poor DH wasn't even in the house (silly me, I only took the test to confirm that I wasn't pregnant! In retrospect, ridiculous.) for the next week or so,I was basically horrified at the idea of having a foreign Thing take over my body, and for such a long time! But I'm coming round to it - the promise of a child is bigger than the oddness of carrying one.

mathsy - me too. I've had no symptoms (apart from tiredness and huge boobs) until now, but this morning I had to go up to Manchester for work, and boy howdy did morning sickness come knocking on the train. BLEAUGH. Still with my now, tbh. Not looking forward to the trip back tomorrow... and now I have to go to dinner with friends who don't know I'm pregnant! Lord I hope there's no wine... Double bleaugh.

Angelico · 15/02/2012 19:54

I'm joining others on the pukey train. Woke up in the middle of last night sure I was going to vom. Didn't eat till lunchtime, ate a lovely jacket potato about 1.30 and from 4pm onwards felt rotten. Just ate a bit there at 7.30, felt great for about 20 mins and now the creeping nausea is ... erm ... creeping up again. Bleugh. Thankfully I'm off work this week but like other teachers am wondering how the hell I can leave my classes if I need to throw up. Confused

Angelico · 15/02/2012 19:56

And babydust I had to wee in a tupperware screw top thing for my first appt. MW gave me a sample pot for next time :o

Is it wrong that I loved the OBEM trailer where the midwife is howling that she "can't do it"??? :o Wonder how many times she's heard other people shrieking and just rolled her eyes at them (cue evil laughter).

Bear1984 · 15/02/2012 19:57

Also suffering from a lot of morning sickness. I got it really bad with DD all the way through the pregnancy so I'm hoping I won't suffer as bad this time round. DP told his family, best friend and work mates today. He feels much more better for it. I haven't told my family due to lots of personal issues/reasons, so at moment, I don't want them to know. Waiting til we have the scan before we tell DD so we can make sure all is well first.

Angelico · 15/02/2012 19:58

Seeing that list is a bit odd - you suddenly realise there are names that no one has heard from in a while Confused.

mathsy · 15/02/2012 20:01

It's good to know others are feeling pukey too :) I'm thinking of telling somebody at work so they can cover for me if I need to dash to the loo. But really didn't want to tell anybody other than parents this early.

Maybe I shouldn't have had fish, chips and curry sauce for dinner tonight.

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 15/02/2012 20:19

Some on that list have unfortunately miscarried.

I think it is best if we scrap it for now then start another one in a couple of months.

It is heartbreaking to see those names on there :(

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 15/02/2012 20:20

Sorry don't mean to be bossy and to put anyone out. No one has done anything wrong.

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 15/02/2012 20:24

Have been nauseous for the last few mornings but it was just normal nausea - like a general feeling of of needing to be sick.

This morning - Jesus!! Took me back to my first pregnancy. Proper full on morning sickness (well I wasn't sick but pregnancy nausea). It is like nausea but with heightened sense of smell so everything just makes me feel like vomming.

I'm 5+1 and TIRED. Been a bit grumpy today. Prob best if I get off here and go to bed.

missbone · 15/02/2012 20:30

Sorry to hear so many are suffering from nausea. I haven't experienced it at all and i doubt i will (thank goodness...it sounds dreadful!) Just had a magnificent tea: chicken in mozarella and pancetta sauce, cabbage, broccoli, carrots and garlic Jersey potatoes - followed bt 2 x Tunnocks tea cakes and blackcurrant & liquorice sweeties.

My friend visited today with her 4 wk old baby boy: Fox William Frazer! What a cutie! I cuddled him the whole time she was here and DP was very impressed when i was the only one who could console him (and burp him!) It really did feel like the most natural thing in the world...and i suddenly felt very pregnant. Worryingly, however, i was perfectly happy to hand him back at the end of the visit!

Can't wait for tonight's OBEM. Apparently, the midwife giving birth turns out to be quite an awkward mard-arse...and the programme also features 'surprise' twins!

I too, Angelico, worry a little about the ladies who haven't posted since they announced their pregnancies on here. Also, i wonder whether we ought to remove the names of those ladies who've suffered miscarriages. What do you think they would want us to do?
