Hello!
Congratulations all!

Can I tentatively join in?

Got my bfp on Wednesday morning- still don't believe it (2 tests later). In fact I keep thinking I've made it all up or am imagining it! Got a doctors appointment a week on Monday- that should make it seem at least a little bit more real. We've not told anyone- finding that SO hard.

We had been waiting to ttc for about a year whilst I lost weight, got fit, learnt to drive (although only started that in November and not passed yet), and then timing it for a post august baby. We had then expected it to take ages, but were seemingly very very lucky on cycle 2. The mumsnet calaculator says EDD 3/10.

Very scared that something will go wrong- somewhat irrationally I think we've been too lucky-these things are supposed to take a long time. Fingers crossed.

Symptons so far- dizzy spells (had that from about 3 days before af was due), so so much wind, the odd stomach twinge (though some of that can be attributed to the wind though had cramps when period was due), waking up before the alarm (unheard of) and after swimming last night I came over very weepy, light headed and sick- though that could've just been over doing it Blush.

Any joggers/gym goers out there? I was half way through the NHS couch to 5km programme and whilst would love to continue am terrified of doing something wrong (hence the swimming).

Macaroons... I'm heading to the September thread now :)

Angelico, eating my five a day has been easy as my cravings for almost everything has turned me into quite the greedy pig :P

EmmaNicole- I have my fingers and toes crossed for you :)

MrsPeggyPatch- I am scared about something going wrong too :( I was the same with my first baby though and he was fine :)

carolinabr · 29/01/2012 11:27

Congratulations to you all!

My due date is also 1st October. I had some spotting and de doctor did a vaginal u/s e could not see anything. I started freaking out as this is my first pregnancy and this is a very desired baby. I've been reading about it and some people said that is normal not seeing anything at 4 weeks. I am waiting now for my second blood test results to see if my hormone levels had doubled.

Cheekychops29 · 29/01/2012 12:01

Hi girls, just wondered if anyone was suffering with tiredness like me? I'm stupidly tired all ready and I'm only five weeks! I had a nap yday as I couldn't even function with out it and today I've only just now woken up and it's 12pm!!!! Does this get any better anytime soon? I don't know how I'll cope in work! I'm not planning on telling them for some time yet either haha may be falling asleep at my desk x

milk · 29/01/2012 12:34

carolinabr, welcome, and I hope all goes well for you :)

Cheekychops29, when I was pregnant with my first child, when I was at work I'd sleep for an hour during my lunch break on the leather sofa in the workers lounge Shock. My boss came up to me a few days later and told me it was inappropriate to come to work hung over :P

Angelico · 29/01/2012 13:30

Hi girls, I'm a bit worried that I'm not tired enough yet - I felt really energetic this last week apart from one day when I did have a nap. I'm only 4 weeks 2 days pregnant and I have been craving sweets like mad - wondering if eating the sweets is giving me a sugar rush and making me feel less tired. Going to wean myself off them now that work is quieting slightly. I was worrying a bit that the lack of tiredness means I'm not developing fast enough or something. I have been getting little twingey cramps and boobs got really sore yesterday and today but other than that nothing.

BabyDustPlease · 29/01/2012 13:50

Hi! Could I join in please?! Got my bfp, due (if my maths is right!) On the 5th october! We have been trying for 2 years so we are over the moon! Keeping quiet till 12w is going to sooo hard!

Congratulations everyone! Xxx

Angelico · 29/01/2012 13:53

Babydust I am also due October 5th! :o We can be bump buddies! How are you feeling so far? I'm pretty energetic, craving sweets, few cramps, tender boobs - that's it.

Cheekychops29 · 29/01/2012 14:27

Hi to the 5th crew!!!

Milk- that's sooooo funny, think my boss would say something like that to me too! Fab...!

mrsv2 · 29/01/2012 15:11

sorry for my absense ....internet problems. Welcome to everyone. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Main symptoms are dizziness but GP checked BP and all ok.......quite tired but then i do have a 10month old so been having early nights.

mrsv2 · 29/01/2012 15:19

i wouldnt worry about your 5 a day too much, as the pg increases you will srruggle with certain food groups and not necessarily because of sickness you just wont fancy them. I had no MS last time but really struggled with dairy and coffee......

BabyDustPlease · 29/01/2012 16:08

Angelico Yay we can be bump buddies :D Have you had your official date from the Gp/midwife yet? I'm feeling okay except being full of cold and very emotional, was in floods of tears over eastenders!!

Hope everyone else is doing good too. It is all very scary. I am especially worried about the morning sickness, my mom had none with me, reckon I could be lucky and follow suit?

xxx

BabyDustPlease · 29/01/2012 16:08

Ps, you'll have to excuse my name, I am no longer in need of Baby Dust hehe xxxxxxx

BabiesNeedInstructions · 29/01/2012 16:46

Hi ladies, can I join? Got my positive yesterday morning after first month of trying, feel very lucky but I was expecting a bit longer before I had to bid the vino a sad farewell. This will be our second, we already have 13mo ds. No symptoms so far except a bit of tiredness - last time I actually went to the gp at 6 weeks concerned that I felt 'too normal' and he looked at me like I was loopy, which I was! Already finding it harder this time round as having ds means lie-ins are a distant memory... but very excited!

Due 8th October. Congratulations to us all!

Angelico · 29/01/2012 18:00

I think lie ins are what I will miss the most BabiesNeedInstructions. I'm making the most of every opportunity at the minute... Also glad I'm not the only one who worries about feeling too normal and energetic. I guess I'd better just make the most of it...! So BabyDust and CheekyChops we can be like the 3 musketeers or something :-)

BabiesNeedInstructions · 29/01/2012 18:08

Yes, enjoy feeling good for now, I am! By 8 weeks last time I was feeling reassuringly rough....

BabyDustPlease · 29/01/2012 18:21

Yes Angelico and CheekyChops that sounds good to me! I wish I could shake this cold, not sure if it is do with being pregnant or just really unfortunate timing so I'm not sure whether I feel crap due to that or due to being preggers!!!

Its all so exciting!! Angelico is this your first?

xx

campbelly · 29/01/2012 19:51

babydust - I've been so sniffy for about two weeks - apparently that's a symptom!

Angelico · 29/01/2012 20:56

Yep first for us! DH has been desperate for couple of years (he comes from a massive family and we have gazillions of nephews and nieces so he is the broody sort) and I finally realised that time would not be on our side... Also tbh I quite fancy a year off work too :o Is that awful??? Now that it's actually a positive I'm pleasingly pleased :o Trying not to get too excited at this early stage - just fingers crossed for all of us!

mrsv2 · 29/01/2012 22:02

I have to say its the one thing I have really missed with a baby is a lie in, lazy mornings. My DD is a great sleeper but I haven't had a lie in longer than 8am for months. I shouldn't complain as she sleeps through and 8am is fab...... But it's not like 10am is it lol.

Hi girls!

Can I join? Edd is 8 oct
Nervous and excited.

Smile
HeeHeeHeeBum · 30/01/2012 09:22

Hi again everyone. I have gone off my food a little. I am usually very enthusiastic about eating but I just can't seem to eat much at the moment. I'm also feeling guilty because I drank quite a lot of wine the weekend before I got my BFP. I'm definitely tired all the time but I find I wake up constantly all night - hopefully this won't last long!

Pixiepops · 30/01/2012 10:10

Hello ladies,

Can I join too please? Smile I got my first ever bfp yesterday after trying for just over a year. Tested again this morning & got another! Grin

I think I'm due on 6th Oct. Fingers crossed!

mrsv2 · 30/01/2012 10:34

heehee i wouldnt worry about the glasses of wine, i deliberately didnt test for 5 days as we were on holiday and wanted to drink and eat naughty foods, even though 'i knew' i was pg it wasnt real until i saw the bfp. Welcome pixiepops
