I'm between Brighton and Eastbourne too but much closer to Brighton, I would say about 10-15 mins away, Eastbourne is about half an hours journey... I'm off into Brighton tomorrow for some bigger clothes! Exciting times :)

How long does it usually take for a scan date to come through? MW said she faxed referral last week but I think she did it today when I called her. Do they send a letter? It's my 3rd baby but I have never had a 12 week scan!

NeedlesCuties · 16/01/2012 20:07

The list is shaping up well, you ladies are all so good at giving me the stats :)

I'm not hot on the geography of the mainland, so I will assume these hospitals are in England unless I'm told otherwise. I do know the larger cities and areas, but that's it.

Exciting! Grin

MrsLister · 16/01/2012 20:13

Ooooh thanks Angel - will look into bump bands this very second!

dashes off to Google

hamncheese · 16/01/2012 20:21

hamncheese (24) DC1 due 2/8/12 from Glasgow,Scotland

technoduck · 16/01/2012 20:33

Hello! havn't be on in a while, Got my scan on the 5th of feb! My hospital is in bath somerset. Will anyone else be at bath?

JParkson · 16/01/2012 20:48

My hospital should actually be "home" lol, but technically I'm under the GWH Swindon :)

JParkson · 16/01/2012 20:49

Not a million miles away techno!

blackcatsdancing · 16/01/2012 20:56

vinlover i got the scan date in a letter from Brighton hospital exactly 1 week after mw faxed request- which was 1 week quicker than she had said it would take. However i do wonder if i went into urgent pile due to age.
and on that note another early night beckons .

voscar · 16/01/2012 20:59

Ooh!!! Glad everyone likes the idea of seeing who is local to you. It's lovely to be able to share things with people around you! I'm actually Scottish, but moved down south to work in London. Met my OH and it looks like I'm now having English babies! Lol!

I'm near Bluewater, so my hospital is Darrent Valley (Dartford).

PoppyS34 · 16/01/2012 21:00

hello everyone,
glad scan went well Angel, congrats to everyone joining the long list.

this little one (assuming all goes ok at 12wk scan of course) will be mainly built by marmite on toast :)

hello everyone joining the list.

WelshLadyCDF · 16/01/2012 21:16

Hi capecath, we're due on the same day :)
I have my scan a week tomorrow, I am counting down the days to find out what's happening and also looking forward to my DP (soon to be DH as he PROPOSED on Saturday :o ) being able to hopefully feel more involved when he can see what's happening,
All my love to all of you, it's great to be in touch with you,
xxx

Lovemarmite · 16/01/2012 21:28

Congratulations WeshLady on your engagement! :o

eightieshopaholic · 16/01/2012 21:37

Congratulations Welsh lady!!

Updated stats for me 31 due 12/8/12 first baby worcester hospital.

Today I feel stretched, which when I say it sounds silly!! does anyone else's boobs only hurt at night when wake up continualy for the toilet lol!! 3 times a night at the minute soo tired from the lack of sleep had a sofa day yesterday!!

PoppyS34 · 16/01/2012 21:43

ahhh congrats WelshLady, that's lovely. x

WelshLadyCDF · 16/01/2012 21:50

eightieshopaholic - thank you!

I am sleeping really badly at the moment, my boobs really hurt too (is it worth wearing a bra to bed? I have comfy maternity ones from m&s).

I wake at 4am, have a potter and curl up on the sofa. I am not going to get stressed about it, I just need to trust my body a bit a the moment to do what it needs, I feel really calm, but sub-conciously I am bound to be anxious.
I think not sleeping is just our minds working through the busy-ness.

ballinderrymum · 16/01/2012 22:00

i forgot about tidying myself up, scan is tomorrow - i don't have much time in the morning will have to be super quick! Great news about the scans that have taken place already - such a relief you must feel.

tashaw28 · 16/01/2012 22:00

Huge congrats Welshlady!!
I am having dc3 at Barnet, Herts!
I have been feeling very different to the last 2 times and I have one of each sex, so I have booked a private viability scan for tomorrow at 5pm, soooo worried about it, will post on here after
xx

thatboysmum · 16/01/2012 22:15

Congratulations WelshLady Smile

My boobs really hurt, especially at night when I roll over or change position. I have been wearing a maternity bra to bed which helps.

PictureThis · 16/01/2012 22:16

Just marking my place on the new thread.

Purplelooby · 16/01/2012 22:24

Congrats welshlady that's exciting news! Yes yes yes to bra in bed - it basically revolutionised my life (well ok, the few weeks of my PG) as it made the pain much easier to sleep with. And by 'the pain' I don't mean DH Wink

Needles my hospital will be Bolton - any more North Westerners?

I had my early scan this weekend and saw a tidgy little blob with a heartbeat! It was sooooooooo lovely i cried my eyes out. Did also see my great big ugly fibroid though and it has clearly grown. Apple measured slightly small but I have since been convinced by Mumsnetters that it was not enough of a discrepency to worry about - see thread on main PG board for more details...

NeedlesCuties · 17/01/2012 08:48

Angel786 · 17/01/2012 09:11

Thanks Mrsmiggins and poppy

Congratulations welshlady! How exciting! Have you thought about wedding dates?

Am super excited for August (/July!) but also got quite overwhelmed this morning at the thought of managing a new baby plus a 19 month old :-/ Think it was b/c DD has been unwell so have had a rough few nights all reminding me of what's ahead(!)

ballinderrymum · 17/01/2012 09:35

sorry i'm a bit slow to read threads. welshlady that is great news about your engagement - such exciting times for you. My Dh is a bit detached when i'm pregnant he doesn't really stroke my stomach and thought when DD moved inside of me it was a bit weird looking which i couldn't understand, but when she came along he was 100% try to not worry

thatboysmum · 17/01/2012 10:47

Angel, I have had a couple of those episodes, DS1 is 4 and sometimes I freak out and think god how am I going to cope with two? How am I supposed to look after a newborn, I can't remember how to even hold a baby let alone have full responsibility for one! But then I calm down again and look at the positives. Im sure this will happen constantly and will probably go into over drive nearer the due date but I will cope, I have to, lol. It helps that DS1 is very excited and is very much looking forward to having a baby brother or sister.

Vinolover · 17/01/2012 12:31

Congratulations WelshLady, that's lovely news!!

I got my scan date through today, gulp. Its for 2nd Feb, so not long to wait. I only saw little one yesterday and can't wait to see him/her again. I know im going to be fretting by then again!

My boobs hurt more in the evening and feel just about normal during the day. I also pee quite a bit at night but hardly during the day. It's like my body stores everything up to make sure I don't get a good night sleep Wink. I've also (for the past teo days) started feeling really sick in the evenings and I have to just take myself off to bed. I got this with my DD too.
