Placenta previa - 36 weeks and in hospital!

Hi, it's been suggested that I start a new thread on this!!! Am now 36 weeks preg and been in hospital since 34+4 after first bleed with pp. They aren't apparently massive bleeds by previa standards but still scary!!! First one came in from home via ambulance in middle of night, second was after an ultrasound whilst in hospital and third was the other night again whilst in hospital. Be interested to hear of other peoples experiences on this. It's so frightening isn't it! It's when it first starts to bleed that it's frightening, nit knowing how much. Staff in hospital are being really good, especially when I bleed.

Been told that they want mr to stay in hospital till c section at 39 weeks, however this depends on how much I bleed and how I and baby am. Reason for 39 is the clinical NICE guidelines for paediatrics.

Am so up and down emotionally, one min getting head round it, next crying loads. Have a little girl 4.5 years. Her delivery was fine. Had SPd then and still do have now but having the Bowen technique for that this time, privately with a midwife, and it seems to be helping the Spd a little.,

Any tips on how you coped with your pps. Find it so difficult at times. Thanks for all support xx

Oh deo what a nightmare! I hate things like that as I am very tenacious and don't like letting go If feel my point hasn't been made/accepted!!!
Well done on weight loss!!! Amazing! Sony know anyone who's done the Cambridge diet only sw and ww. It obsiouslu works! Checked my bmi the other day and think it was about 26.4 even after the 2st weight loss!!!! At least nearer to top end of 25 bmi now! Always like a treat after weigh in dates so might have takeaway tonight. Little girl off poorly though with high temp and slept loads this aft so not tired now and high after calpol so think a DVD night for us all!
Cn bet you look lovely and don't need a diet!!!! Have you lost your baby weight? I was 1/2-1!st heavier after first baby but think I was probably too thin and not sustainable then!!!! (Although I didn't think so at the time)!!!!
Are you all watching bgt/the voice?! We are either watching today or shrek the final movie!!!! Xx

She doesn't need to loose it Cmm ! She looks gorg Grin I thunk my bmi is now 27 . I still have 1.5 stone to go . How much more u got to go Cmm ?
I like bgt , get bored with just singing . Enjoy your DVD !

Coppernoddle · 22/04/2012 08:08

Cmm, hope your little girl is over the worst!! A DVD night is always good, I'll or not!! Can't beat it!!
I don't know how to even work out my bmi, but I'm 10 1/2 stone now, which is 1 1/2 stone heavier than before Ewan. So I do need to loose weight and tone up! I think I'm getting bigger too, trying to keep up with the kids and eating so much! I soooo want to get back to what I was for summer, think I may have left it a little too late!! Although everyone says I look better for the extra weight, I loose it off my face and makes me look thinner than I actually am! Still, I need to!
We watch bgt, I love some of the numpties that go on there, it's hillarious! Never watched the voice!
Deo, have you calmed down from the other day, that would take me days to get over!!

deo357 · 22/04/2012 08:36

Oh & Cmm they got my point alraight but I feel violated ! And mortified that someone would think my kids were little shits , I pride my self on my kids behaviour , of course no kids r angels but still . Angry

deo357 · 22/04/2012 08:38

If u go on Cambridge diet website u can calc your bmi , it's to do with your height . How tall r u ? So u r usually 9 st ? U look about 5'10 ???

Coppernoddle · 22/04/2012 11:37

No!!! Hahaha I'm 5"5.5!! Not as tall as you think!!

I'm on it!!

Coppernoddle · 22/04/2012 12:12

My bmi is 23.6 and the limit is 18.5?-24.9 so I'm within the limitations but slightly to the higher side!! So does that mean I'm aloud to do it? I have a spare tyre that i need to loose but feel I need to just tone! I have my skeleton app next week which will give me more of an insight to exercise and what I can do! And I weighed myself and I'm half a stone lighter than I thought I was!!! Bonus!!! So I'm 10! Need to loose a stone!!

cmm · 22/04/2012 12:28

Deo yes agree with what you say! It's awful when something said bout your children particularly when not true!!!!
Cn sounds like your bmi is spot on really! Guess you could try to go lower but not imperative! Like you say maybe you only want to tone. Good luck with your app with hospital! My NHs Physio wanted to refer me to further specialist Physio but still waiting. In the meantime seen a private one again and he's been really good until last app when he did trigger point therapy which he said could cause more pain. It's starting to settle a little again I think. He thinks isn't specifically core stability but piriformas problem and specific area of lower back and joints round the both. Definitely the best it's been though with his treatment.
Just been to the walk in surgery with little girl, poor thing got urine infection. That's why the temp etc poor thing.
Think house day tidying etc and sofa and more DVDs!!
Hope you're both having a good weekend xx

Cmm, the piriformas is the problem I'm having! Although this past couple of weeks it's not been as bad, but due to the weather being so rubbish I haven't done as much walking and more resting! Poor little girly! Urine infections are awful!! My little girl gets them all the time! You have to make sure she empties herself completely, we had a scan on Emily pre and after wee, and she wasn't letting it all go! Poor girly! Lots of cranberry juice!

And deo!! Yes 5.5 1/2!!!!! Wink

Coppernoddle · 22/04/2012 20:53

Coppernoddle · 24/04/2012 13:02

That's great!!! 3lb is a good amount!!

Hiloday booked!! Sharm el sheikh, the sensatori hotel swim up room! All inclusive so no worrying about meals! Now I have to tone my ass off now!

I had my muscularskeletal app this morning! My Sacrum joint (not sure what it's called) has loosened considerably due to a third preggers apparently, and that leg (my right side) is 1cm shorter than the other, which isn't a problem! So she thinks that it will sort its self out over time! She says I've got a cartalage tear in my knee which is why it's so painful and clunky. We're going to MRI scan the knee, get that sorted and hopefully the pelvis joint will just sort itself out! They do nothing until baby is 1 yr old as it can take that long. So hopefully it's a simple op on my knee to cut away the tear using keyhole surgery. And hopefully not at the same time as my cyst! And then everything will be better and I can haul my gazelle legs up the middlewood way once again!! :)

Cmm, how's your little girls urine infection? Any better?

Emmys birthday tomorrow, she's so exited! But what is it with the age 5? They get to it and turn into devil children for a year!! She's my angel, so polite and helpful and curtious, and for a week now she's been really horrible! The same happened with Harriet, although she's coming out of it now! It must be a hormonal thing!

Had Ewan weighed this morning, been a while! He's just hitting the 98th centile! Porkie pig!! Hes 10.68kg now! Oink oink!

deo357 · 25/04/2012 19:46

wow ewan u little porker !!
hope the birthday celebrations gone well tonight & she is happy with her pressies??
been looking after my nan all day today, which has been nice

Bugger!! Going to write this for a second time!!

Emily had a smashing day! Special treatment at school, gymnastics for the first time today and got to wear her new leotard! She had a queen amidala dress and darth vader costume! A long with a load so bits and bob, hair stuff, knickers etc etc, the girls got a joint pressie to of body armour, boots, knee pads, gloves for the bike!

Ewan let us have no sleep last night for some reason! Don't know whether it's a upset tummy or his other tooth! Anyway, let's hope for zzzzzzzz tonight!

Deo, glad you had a lovely day! So nice to have something different than the long hard slog!! I used to love spending the day with my grandma, she was awesome!!

X x

Coppernoddle · 26/04/2012 06:21
