Placenta previa - 36 weeks and in hospital!

Hi, it's been suggested that I start a new thread on this!!! Am now 36 weeks preg and been in hospital since 34+4 after first bleed with pp. They aren't apparently massive bleeds by previa standards but still scary!!! First one came in from home via ambulance in middle of night, second was after an ultrasound whilst in hospital and third was the other night again whilst in hospital. Be interested to hear of other peoples experiences on this. It's so frightening isn't it! It's when it first starts to bleed that it's frightening, nit knowing how much. Staff in hospital are being really good, especially when I bleed.

Been told that they want mr to stay in hospital till c section at 39 weeks, however this depends on how much I bleed and how I and baby am. Reason for 39 is the clinical NICE guidelines for paediatrics.

Am so up and down emotionally, one min getting head round it, next crying loads. Have a little girl 4.5 years. Her delivery was fine. Had SPd then and still do have now but having the Bowen technique for that this time, privately with a midwife, and it seems to be helping the Spd a little.,

Any tips on how you coped with your pps. Find it so difficult at times. Thanks for all support xx

Good afternoon x
Great news cmm, he'll get there! Even Ewan's not there yet! Takes time, to be honest, there only young once so make the most of it!! Sometimes we get so het up over routine routine routine that we actually forget to enjoy it! One thing I have learnt since having Ewan is to take it all in my stride, relaxing with it gives you soooo much more benefit!!
What a gorgeous day!!! Cold, but loooovely!! We've been shopping, lunch, a good chin wag with my sister, Ewan's just gone to bed so I can finish my washing and ironing. Hubby working in Kent this week so I'm tired, just having to do it every week by yourself starts to take its toll after a while!! Haircuts today after school then friends for tea! Busy busy busy!

Is it only me that thinks this red white and blue jubilee fashion is going a bit too far!! I know how important the event is and how wonderful it is, but do we really have to wear red white and blue through the whole year?? Don't get me wrong, I love nautical stripes! But no thanks!!

cmm · 09/03/2012 19:39

Oh deo poor things, horrid. Hope things better today. The jumperoo apparently fab!!! Ted weighed yest, only put on 4oz but apparently gone up in length so they're not worried. He's 17.14 now. How's stanley and ewan doing?
How's sleep generally too? Had a few more difficult nights but nothing compare to before! But then last night he slept through!!! Stirred around four but self settled! Just say in with him now and he's gone off just now after babbling for 12 mins! How amazing, very impressed.
Got rubbish cold and bug myself so don't feel great. Already bathed. Just off to my little girl to get her to bed now. How do you do it with 3-6 of them!!!!! Xx

im just really realy tired with a disturbed night last night up & down. bring on my lay in in the am. is ted crawling yeT ?

deo357 · 10/03/2012 20:16

So that's 4 kids who have been chucking . I haven't felt well all day & bad tummy , I hate illness !!!SadSadSadSad

deo357 · 10/03/2012 20:17

Cn u r quiet , u ok ? U must b enjoying ed home WinkWinkWink

Coppernoddle · 11/03/2012 16:03

Hahaha deo! Very busy! Not really enjoying ed at home as all he's done is work! I'm sick of it!!! I'm told to leave the house with all the kids on a bloody weekend to get stuff done and when I ask can I come home he asks why??? He's deserves a kicking that boy!!!!!! Grin :(

Well done cmm, can't believe how fast it's taken you!! Ewan's doing well too! Although I'm still bloody knackered!! I never stop with three, it's not stop all day! I never sit down! Deo, you must run on empty! Bed times a nightmare!! And then when they've gone it doesn't stop there! Dishwasher, washing, bottles, clean up, prep for next day! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz cmm, enjoy two! Grin

So, not much has happened this week! Not had Ewan weighed in a while so will go on Tuesday. They've stopped doing height too but I think he's really tall, he's in 12-18month clothes already! He's only 7 months!

I totally need a day off!! Roll on the 30th when it's my birthday! I'm demanding a day off!! I'm going to bed and expect all my meals brought me and that's we're I'm going to stay!!!! Oh, maybe a touch of shopping!

Any plans for next week?

Coppernoddle · 11/03/2012 16:06

Deo, sorry to hear all yours are sick! Cannot imagine the amount of washing you must have!! Hope it's a very quick thing! Have you been I'll yourself too? How miserable!!! Hope you all get better soon x x x

deo357 · 11/03/2012 20:05

ah men sometimes they dont bloody think ! mine is being totally thoughtless & stropy at mo. he does NOTHING to help. then today i still wasnt feeling well so he did luch for the kids, jeez anyone would think he did it all ! , and of course i was back to making dinner, tongiht he is feeling great, but im sure he will milk it where i plodded along. i had bad tummy, shakes, temp etc & he tells me its because im starving myself!! nothing to do with 4 kids having a sick bug then ??? mind u i lost 2lb just yesterday with all the toilet runs !!!! yea cn washing is a mare & i dont have tumble dryer, but am getting one, well i do but its so rubbish i havent used it since the summer. it takes 2 hours to dry 1 load, sooo not worth it. so gonna buy another in next few weeks as its getting silly with washing every where . boring week ahead for me, chat later xxx

Coppernoddle · 11/03/2012 20:29

Oh gosh deo!! Do what I do, I have a medal on the side and whenever he gets too carried away, me and the girls have a full on ceremony and everything!! Dead funny, makes him feel special although he's an arse!!! Hehehe!! But I guess it's the only way I would have it! Queen of my castle and all that!
Poor you with all this illness! Is he insinuating that your feeding the kids shakes for breakfast? Grin
Cannot believe your tumble dryer situation!! I don't know how I would cope with three kids let alone six! The washing is the Bain of my life and struggle to get through it all! I do not envy you!
Take it to a laundrette, if you put it I yourself I costs hardly anything! Then return for it and hour later! They have massive ones too!

Right, tv time!! X x x x

P.s, couldn't live without hubby!! he is an amazing fella! And does more than I let on!!!

deo357 · 11/03/2012 21:01

love the ceremony idea !! very funny, yea i cant beleive i dont have a tumble dryer either , mad isnt it, im just used to it & most of the kids clothes cant go in dryers, but when u r trying to dry sheets it a mare, my lounge is covered tonight !
night xx

deo357 · 12/03/2012 16:10

Whoop whoop lost another 5lb this week , that's 9lb in last 2 weeks . No pain no gain girls . Got my running machine coming this week too . Hubby got the bug now , great !

cmm · 12/03/2012 19:17

Oh my goodness well done that's amazing! You still hungry? How long do you have shakes? Is it slim fast type thing? X

OP posts:
deo357 · 12/03/2012 21:04

no not really hungry anymore, u get used to it, eating is just a habit really. we all eat when we r not really hungry.
i cant remember how long im on just shakes, think its when your bmi gets to a certain point then i go 1 meal a day, then two then back to normal . yea just like slim fast really. still trying to sort charlies birthday party , its a nightmare, cant get anything at mo that he wants ahhhhhhh!!!

Coppernoddle · 13/03/2012 16:33

Well done deo!! That's fantastic news! Your both making me feel guilty to give dieting a try! I think I may squeeze to and hour!!! :)

What a gorgeous day today! Me and Ewan went and fed the ducks today and geese and he loved it!!

deo357 · 13/03/2012 20:38

now, dont want u getting all faint on us mrs !! even though ive lost 9lb still no where near my clothes !! cant really see anydifference at all yet.

wednesday again tomrrow, where are the days going, stanley sat up by himeself for quite a few mins a few times today, how cute !

cmm · 13/03/2012 22:59

Cn you sound like you're ok weight wise! I bet you will lose bits naturally, don't get faint like deo says!!
Deo - how much do you want to lose? I have about two stone to lose now. People say they can't see I need to lose that but that would be to get me to preg weight or there about! Got to a 14 skinny jean today so pleased! Usually 12 bottom and 8-10 top!
So cool about Stanley! Ted is rolling lots now but no crawling yet. He has waved today for first time though!!!! X

OP posts:
Coppernoddle · 14/03/2012 12:00

Yay!! Well done Stanley!! It'll all start happening very quickly now!!
Cmm, Ewan is like ted, he rolls around the floor like you would believe, he can really get around! Well done ted!!! Ewan's been sitting up now for about two weeks and every day he's getting stronger and less wobbly! Bet it's weird seing little Stanley sitting up, so tiny!! Ewan keeps trying to sit up from lying down and to be honest he's not far off, so lowered the cot last night! He keeps getting up onto his hands and knees accasionally and rocking too! I don't think it will be long, so he can catch up and run round with his sisters! But I'm still in denial that my gorgeous little fella is getting bigger! I don't want him to!!

I'm a size 10, but am feeling al little poddgy round the waist, and my belly just hangs over the top! I'm not in some of my pre preg jeans but there were pretty skinny! My hubby loves the extra bit of weight, I'm a comfy size ten, and yes, my metabolism levels along with addisons I loose weight too quickly! Before getting pregnant I was under a dietitian trying to keep the weight on, I was eating heaps!! So not too fussed, and couldn't diet to save my life!!! Still I need to tone! Get rid of the flab!

I went to the docs today and he's transferring me to a skeleton muscle person, noooo idea what there called, he agrees my physio is crap! He also agrees that it's not actually my hip but my sacrem joint at the back (no idea of the spelling) thank goodness, it's about time!!! Also the exercises she was doing was with my hip, not my joint! Numpty!!!

Well, I'm off to scoff my face!! :)

Coppernoddle · 15/03/2012 20:04

My boy!!! Such a big boy!!!! He's been rocking loads on all fours, it's his new thing!! And he went from all fours tonight to sitting!!!! Such a clever boy! He was sooooooo proud of himself too!! It won't be long! :)

How is everybody!
