Placenta previa - 36 weeks and in hospital!

Hi, it's been suggested that I start a new thread on this!!! Am now 36 weeks preg and been in hospital since 34+4 after first bleed with pp. They aren't apparently massive bleeds by previa standards but still scary!!! First one came in from home via ambulance in middle of night, second was after an ultrasound whilst in hospital and third was the other night again whilst in hospital. Be interested to hear of other peoples experiences on this. It's so frightening isn't it! It's when it first starts to bleed that it's frightening, nit knowing how much. Staff in hospital are being really good, especially when I bleed.

Been told that they want mr to stay in hospital till c section at 39 weeks, however this depends on how much I bleed and how I and baby am. Reason for 39 is the clinical NICE guidelines for paediatrics.

Am so up and down emotionally, one min getting head round it, next crying loads. Have a little girl 4.5 years. Her delivery was fine. Had SPd then and still do have now but having the Bowen technique for that this time, privately with a midwife, and it seems to be helping the Spd a little.,

Any tips on how you coped with your pps. Find it so difficult at times. Thanks for all support xx

Oh poor deo!!! I hate football!! And there's no getting away from it with 6 boys!!! So glad your starting to feel better! And poor Stanley! Hope he picks up soon! Give him a big cuddle! I do agree, go easy with him being early! Ewan was weaned at 4 months so his tummy is quite hardy now, although think the chicken was a little rich! Erm it was just chicken portions and drumsticks (on the bone is soooooo much more tasty) brown the skin, fry the chorizo a little too, then bung in a big oven dish covered with onion, cherry tomatoes, a whole packet, garlic cloves, red pepper, mixed beans, a good glass of red wine, two cans of chopped toms, pepper to taste and then cook slowly for about two hours, maybe slightly longer, don't let it dry out or the sausage and meat goes too dry!

Deo, don't get me wrong, I love hot holidays, but we really need the extension! He's never here so is happy to live in a shoe box, me I need space!! To not have toys in my living room would be looooovely! And not to have my dining room table in the living room (it's a living diner) and food to be all over the carpet, so I don't have to have the carpets cleaned every four months would be amazing! Don't think the carpets can take any more ! Don't get me wrong, I love my house, especially as Emily was born here, and the canal in our back garden is just beautiful! But we're outgrowing fast! How many rooms do you have deo?

Hi girls just been reading all your news, great to hear all your happenings. Hope you're feeling a but better deo. Cn wow Ewan sounds mega into food!
Sleep isn't as good as it was don't know why?! Just isn't going as long now but changed nothing well apart fr gradually pulling away when he goes off to sleep which he is coping with but hasn't slept through for ten days! Even waking once is starting to be rare. Have just fed him three hours after first down and took him off and he was hysterical so gone through the sitting by him crying thing. Awful! Was nearly in years but just spoke to him and let him touch my hand when he wanted, thirty mins later he's off. He's cracked it once do perhaps he's just testing or teething?!
Sun gorgeous here too! Went to mums group and then say outside with a drink with a friend. Was parents evening Physio and rainbows all this afternoon too so busy day!!!! Looking fwd to hols too. Do you break up Friday too? Xx

ok cn, im gonna jot that down as im a shit cook !!!! sounds delish mmmmm, im still on my shakes ! lost 12lb so far, oh i totally see your point on the extension, i would go extension, i have lounge, conserv (diner) & play room, we did have another room too, but when we did the lounge before xmas we knocked two rooms in to one to make a massive massive lounge. play room not that big now dogs r in there not other room so we r gonna convert garage in to playroom & current playroom in to study/dogs!! holiday will last two weeks, extension 4 ever ! i wanna get on with garage but moneys tight with quiet times so have to be careful at mo xxx roll on friday & CN's birthday !!!!!!

Cmm,it's proberbly teething! Ewan's done the same the past week, although he's had a cold but could be due to teething too (the runny nose) he's drowning like mad, drowning on everything, including in my friends mouth and is generally clingy and miserable! He's not got any teeth yet so I'm convinced it's that! You know what's right for ted! Try some calpol and if he settles,you know it's that! We had parents eve too! It was ace! Lovely to hear of how different the girls are,they are chalk and cheese! But very clever girlies!! :)

Deo, you amaze me, you've always sounded like a Brillinat cook! You totally understand someof the dishes I make so I think your underestimating yourself! Your house sounds like my dream house! I do agree with the extension, but I totally understand eds view too! He's so stressed at work that he has to have a complete break! If we go anywhere in England and there was a problem somewhere, he couldn't help himself but travel to sort it out, which he has done on previous holidays! At least if we're the other side of the world, he can't do that and can just forget about himself! Which means, I have to get fit quick!! Shit!! I gotta squeeze my flabby belly into a bikini! Bugger!
Well done with the weight loss! I seriously considering the shakes now eds thinking of going to the bahamas ! Can you eat dinner with it? Are you allowed any food?

Can't wait for tomorrow, just for ed to have a day off work!! Yippee!!

no why do u think im a good cook, plus i HATE cooking 4 people. although i always have 16 at xmas !! im wicked at roast dinners & thats it ! i love everyone elses food. i think my hubby has beenso critical, and still is, he knocks my confidence, im good at cake !!
I am NOT letting u do shakes !! i have no food, just shakes !! i will have food when i have lost a stone but only a small amount. u need to do weight watchers or just the 1000 cal a day diet. how about mini break plus extension ?

I'm not bothered now what happens with holiday or extension! If hubby needs a holiday, we can still do part of the extension, it'll just be done a little slower!
My birthday was awesome! I was spoilt rotten! I had some lovely pressies, hubby booked me into having a lovely message, we had a lovely day at the girls assembly in the afternoon and a fantastic meal out at my fav restaurant in the village! We were roaring with laughter!! May of had one too many though! I have the dizzy head and shakey body this morning! Need a maccy d's to get the sugars going again,that always does the trick!
We're at Drayton manor tomorrow, can't wait, not been there for about 10 years! It's my nephews birthday! Still can't wait till Alton towers though!

Hi girls, just been catching up with your news!!!! Deo well done with the weight loss! I haven't lost this week, hopefully it will start again next! Cn happy birthday for the other day!!! so sorry missed it! Been so much going on! Had little girls ballet show last night and tonight. So proud that she did it! Just fed ted and sat at side of him Waiting and watching till he goes to sleep. Am at the stage of just sitting next to him now. He's slept through night before last! Last night rubbing but last night and tonight had to keep him up later as needed to be at ballet for 6.15!!!! Too early for me to get him settled!!! He's just dozing off now so a little glass of red whilst watching bgt and the voice!!!!

Cmm, how lovely for your little ones ballet show! Bet you were in tears! I loved my girls ones, it was so lovely! I bought them a bunch of flowers each like real ballerinas get, they felt so proud of themselves! Lovely! I do hope you recorded it! You'll never forget that one!

Well, first day of holidays and we've done nothing! We've just had tea and the girls are still in jimjams! I've got through all the washing today, there was heaps of it! Plus boring ironing, but do feel good once it's done!

Ewan took two forward crawling steps today! He was so proud of himself, he's really getting round the living room now! He's so cute! His facial expressions are a picture! Do you ever get the feeling their looking at you thinking 'you daft bugger!!' when we took him on some rides at Drayton manor yesturday his face was just 'what the hell is going on!' no emotion at all, it was hillarious!
Well I think we exhausted him yesturday as he didn't sleep well at all last night, I'm shattered today! Cannot wait till bedtime! Although not sure if hubby is back tonight :( have to do everything on my own!

all ok here, went to ikea with the boys yest & they had lunch ther ewhich was nice & then the park & then tim & i put together zaks new bed last night, in their new room, its one with a tent under, he's been in there all morning !! not a lot today, washing washing & more washing !!!

I did all my washing yesterday! There was piles! Massive sense of achievement when it's all washed ironed and put away!
Harriet never rolled, she went to sitting and crawling at 9 months! Zak's bed sounds amazing! Bet he's loving it!! I love idea dinners! There so cheap! I love the meatball and gravy. My sister married a swede and he lodged with us for 6 months before they got married due to work, and the guy lived there! Every week he would go and my freezer was full of meatballs! :) don't know how good they are for you but the girls love them! Maybe that's your answer to half term, get them all tents!!! :)
Today so far we've again done nothing! Weathers poo and raining! Harriet's got her friend with us for the day and we've painted toe nails and fingers, painted, reading stories whilst Ewan's been asleep. At some point I'd best clean the house! ,
I have a scan today on my ovary, see whether it's changed or not! That's not till 5.20.

wow busy girl, yes not sure how much good stuff ikea meatballs have but, oh well !!! they like them.
zak & charlie went to a friends house yest from 11-3 , that never happens, i should have been more organised & done something better with the big boys but we went for coffee & purchased a new hamster to be picked up today!! cinema today &buy some easter eggs i think. xxx

I bought some Easter eggs last night, well not exactly eggs! I bought them each a kinder bunny, a smartie chicken and a milky way cow! I'm going for a farm theme I think! Then I'm going to get some tiny winy eggs that I can plop around the place that the Easter bunny has left! Now I just have to get them a gift which is hard as hubby has been away all week and has just informed me he's gong to work over Easter! Thanks! Good old family time! So if anyone wants to come for a lamb dinner, your very welcome as I think I have enough to feed the whole of the village!

Oooh, cmm, have you had snow? It's been snowing all morning here, not settling but it is on the hills! All the roads to Buxton and Whaley bridge and Ashbourne are closed! Can't believe the weather after the weather we had last week!!!

My goodness I have a banging headache! 4 nights now with nooooooo sleep! I'm soooo tired!

Not all Ewan, he's been quite goos to be honest, but the girls have been up and down too! Need to tire them out more!

too late now he went shooting then to pub ! i will go to tesco in am & get petrol, not leaving til 9am now to miss traffic. i have just sent my big boys to bed they have been playing scalextric 4 2 hours and it is so noisy , they havent played with it 4 years !!!

I'm soooo tired today! Ewan was up for an hour crying last night! No idea why!! That's 7 nights with little sleep for one reason or another! We're off out tonight and it's going to be a late one, don't think I'm going to be able to make it!!

Just sat monging on the couch, watching Ewan do his best mogli attempt and looking through his legs! It's hillarious! I so think he's going to crawl with his butt in the air!! He's nearly there, he moves forward about 3 steps then crashes! Need to sort through the toys now and get rid of all the little bits!

Just a quick one to touch base! Been busy as ted no well bless him. Sleep thing definitely out of window now as he just wants to sit on my boob. Has temp and I'll of cold and sometimes sick but think that's the cold bless him. I had similar thing before and now I feel getting again!!! Sooo tired as im just laid with him on boob all night!!!! Got a nice couple of hours out tomorrow though for best friends birthday! Lost another 2 1/2 lbs this week too!!!' no snow here! Actually nice day! How are you all? Xx

Brilliant cmm with the weight but poo to the sleep! How long are you going to feed him for? I don't think I could have coped this long if it was me! Poor ted! Hope he gets better soon! There still snow on the hills here! Up on the top road near Alton towers there must have been at least one metre drifts of snow!

Been to John Lewis today to get kids some Easter goodies! They have some lovely stuff there! I've already bought their eggs but they had these amazing mr potatoe head eggs where you could build the face yourself!

poor ted, stanley has been so ill lately i know where u r coming from. medised at night is the best, i know it is for older kids now, but all my others had it from 6 months so im not bothered , i buy it and say its for a 6 year old. i just give him 2.5ml at bedtime (when hes ill obviously!!!) is a great decongestant. well dont with your weight though. how much u got to go now ?

My doctor recomended medised when Emily was two, he said its not liscienced as some woman killed her child by over dosing, which can happen with any medicine! Although I've never given it to Ewan.
I hope he gets better soon!

I like to think I'm a party animal, in reality, I'm a nutcase thats let loose every once in a while!! The rest of the time I'm just me! :)
