Placenta previa - 36 weeks and in hospital!

Hi, it's been suggested that I start a new thread on this!!! Am now 36 weeks preg and been in hospital since 34+4 after first bleed with pp. They aren't apparently massive bleeds by previa standards but still scary!!! First one came in from home via ambulance in middle of night, second was after an ultrasound whilst in hospital and third was the other night again whilst in hospital. Be interested to hear of other peoples experiences on this. It's so frightening isn't it! It's when it first starts to bleed that it's frightening, nit knowing how much. Staff in hospital are being really good, especially when I bleed.

Been told that they want mr to stay in hospital till c section at 39 weeks, however this depends on how much I bleed and how I and baby am. Reason for 39 is the clinical NICE guidelines for paediatrics.

Am so up and down emotionally, one min getting head round it, next crying loads. Have a little girl 4.5 years. Her delivery was fine. Had SPd then and still do have now but having the Bowen technique for that this time, privately with a midwife, and it seems to be helping the Spd a little.,

Any tips on how you coped with your pps. Find it so difficult at times. Thanks for all support xx

Coppernoddle · 07/04/2012 21:51

Aww bless Stanley! He'll do it in his own time, don't rush it, enjoy it while it last! You can't leave Ewan for a second, he's everywhere but have to say,the frustration of wanting to do stuff has disappeared! My hubby didn't move till he was two years old!!!!!! Not even crawl!!!!! And there nothing wrong with him, he was a premie too and he's 6ft2, very intelligent and mahooosive!! (strong, with a little belly) :) I think it'll be a while till he walks though, his feet turn right out and when he stands up he's on his tippy toes! Bless him he's got sore knees and feet, I'm going to have to get him some soft shoes as his socks keep coming off and I keep loosing my sockets! I must have bought about ten packs of them! Don't worry, just when you think it's boring, they do something else! He's gorgeous Stanley!! How old is Stanley now? 6mths?

deo357 · 08/04/2012 09:12

bless him , what r sockets? r they the things that keep socks on? u just need gap socks 4 that ! blimey he didnt move til he was 2 ?? wow. stanley is 7 months now, i know he will do stuff when he's ready, moment of green eyes !!!!

Coppernoddle · 08/04/2012 09:40

deo357 · 10/04/2012 19:44

Coppernoddle · 10/04/2012 21:40

We went swimming today too, nothing else to do with this miserable weather!!!! I love winter, when it's winter!! And I'm all geared up for sunshine now!!! I love to hit the shops too! Temptation is too great! But no pennies too! How's Stanley now? Is he over his cold? Are you looking forward to the end of the holidays or not?
How are you cmm? How's ted doing with his sleeping!

Poor Ewan, so grumpy today, in obvious pain! This is going to be a long ride if this is just the first tooth! :(

deo357 · 11/04/2012 17:04

this holidays has been so lovely, could go on like this forever, but the house is filthy, decided gonna get a cleaner, cant keep up any more, as for the the washing, pah, no chance !!! i neeeeed a tumble drier. no 4's birthday sat - he will be 7 & party sun, so busy times coming up !! had a friend visit unexpectedly today who moved away so lovely to speak to her & see her xx

Coppernoddle · 11/04/2012 20:23

Awwwww, what a lovely suprise!!

How the hell have you survived without a tumble dryer for this long???????
And I have to say, when I had my cleaner, I loved it! But cannot afford now my mat pay has finished! :(

Ewan got Discusting poo's today, dead acidy teething poos with a really sore bum!!
Omg the rain and hail here today has been horrendous!!!!

deo357 · 11/04/2012 20:34

I don't know, I reckon I might just keep up with my washing if I got one !!!
Sunny here, with a bit of hail this Arvo. I haven't had a cleaner for 4 years but , afford it or not I need one or a few 4 hour cleans to catch up ! I see the mank!!
Poor bum !! Stanley is dribbling badly

Coppernoddle · 12/04/2012 08:13

Has Stanley got any teeth yet? I'm, sure we've had this conversation before!!

I know what you mean about seeing the mank! When your there 24 hours a day, you pick up everything! You can only true,y feel relaxed with a clean house! But do think I'm a little manic with my cleaning, but that's also because we've not decorated yet and I hate it, so to feel comfortable, it needs to be clean!
I think Ewan's second tooth is coming through, he's chewing like mad and is still grumpy! There's a bulge where the tooth should be, I have a feeling there all going to come through at once! :(

Well, the weather is absolute poo here, can't do anything but indoor stuff and there all packed!!! Swimming with three of them is a nightmare! Although the girls loooove just playing at home dressing up, but I get cabin fever and need fresh air!!!
Have fun today x x

deo357 · 12/04/2012 12:25

Yeah he has two , had them 4 a while . Not too bad weather here . Swim with 3 ? Come on ! Easy !! I'm taking all 6 tomorrow . Chat later xxx

cmm · 12/04/2012 16:45

Hi girls! Just been catching up on your news!
Deo glad you've got the dryer sorted! Oh my, can't imagine the washing you have!!!!! And swimming with them all too! I haven't braved it with my five year old much!!!!
Cn Ewan sounds to be doing great minus the pooh!!!!! Any teeth eruptions?!
No crawling or teeth here! The odd wave and lots of rocking whilst sat up. Sleep not gone back to how it was at best but not as bad as the worst! He's going off well most of the time but still waking every three ish hours but am starting back on the routine properly because he's been poorly until now really.

We're all en route currently in the Moho!!!!! We're away till Sunday, visiting friends and the national childrens museum, eureka. Lovely to be away.
What you both up to? Xx

Oooh cmm, sound ace to be on the road!! Have you had ted checked or silent reflux? He drinks this liquid and they exray it, might be why he wakes so often? This is what happened to my friend! But keep going with your routine, you'll have it nailed again in no time!! Have fun x x

Deo, I've said it once before and I'll say it again, your a crazy woman!! You must have the energy of a 3 year old on ketchup!!

Well Ewan dead grumpy again today, you can see a bulge from where the other tooth is coming! Once the tooth has broken through, does the irritation stop? He only got his first yesterday! Could it be that? I thought it stopped pretty much straight away! Maybe it is tooth number two then?

We went to blaze farm today, an ice cream arm, it's a proper working farm, and the milk they get from the cows, they make there own ice cream, and I have to say, it's the best ice cream I have ever tasted!! Better that carte dore! Sooooooooo creamy and some amazing flavours! I had lemon meringue pie! We saw loads of lambs being born and the farmer with her hands up pulling out some lambs, the kids got to hold some and ewan bless him got very upset with the goat and donkey who kept showing his teeth, it was soooo cute, his bottom lip wobbling like mad!! And not forgetting the amazing slide made out if underground piping up the side of the hill!

deo357 · 12/04/2012 20:31

stanleys 2 teeth were 3 days apart, he will b better when they r thru, poor thing.
3 year old on ketchup !!! HA HA HA - maybe
cmm - u gota get tough with ted, he needs unbroken sleep as do u , get working on it, it will be worth it . nice to be on the road though, enjoy your break
ice cream farm sounds wicked, what fun, baby lambs , ice cream etc.
we did our lessons then went to my mums for lunch, bilinis, my god that wont fill them up 4 5 mins ahhhh. then dropped ds4 as friends, visitied mates new puppy, then home and made cornflake cakes, then dinner, & baths & sit !!! tomorow is the last day of the course, then we r either gonna swim or go to black park with friends. not ready for ds4's birthday on sat, got to pick up some lego tomorrow somehow ??!! might make a cake at the last min tom night too. stnaley has rolled from back to front by himself yest for the first time - yay - movement !!!
