Placenta previa - 36 weeks and in hospital!

Hi, it's been suggested that I start a new thread on this!!! Am now 36 weeks preg and been in hospital since 34+4 after first bleed with pp. They aren't apparently massive bleeds by previa standards but still scary!!! First one came in from home via ambulance in middle of night, second was after an ultrasound whilst in hospital and third was the other night again whilst in hospital. Be interested to hear of other peoples experiences on this. It's so frightening isn't it! It's when it first starts to bleed that it's frightening, nit knowing how much. Staff in hospital are being really good, especially when I bleed.

Been told that they want mr to stay in hospital till c section at 39 weeks, however this depends on how much I bleed and how I and baby am. Reason for 39 is the clinical NICE guidelines for paediatrics.

Am so up and down emotionally, one min getting head round it, next crying loads. Have a little girl 4.5 years. Her delivery was fine. Had SPd then and still do have now but having the Bowen technique for that this time, privately with a midwife, and it seems to be helping the Spd a little.,

Any tips on how you coped with your pps. Find it so difficult at times. Thanks for all support xx

oh girls, i could cry, stanley woke up this morning with a cold AGAIN & he has been coughing all evening. omg, whats that 2 weeks of being well & here we go again, although tihs time i cant blame it on any other kids they r all well. god it seems like everytime he is better we go down hill within 2 weeks. ahhhhh so so frustrating. on the up side charlie has had a lovely day, its all gone so quick & im doing party tomrrow, so got all the food ready to go, been making party bags tonight. went out 4 lunch, had a ceasar salad, first time ive eaten for 6 weeks properly it was nice, but hard work all that chewing. petrified i will put weight on, as had cake etc today, but went on running machine this am, & go running again in the am !!!!! still i got on a pair of my old jeans today, yes i had muffin top & they r not my size 8 super skinnys , i usually wear a belt with these, but they r on & done up & i feel 1/2 normal, still a lard arse. although my 86 year old nan told me today it really notices, & my bum is smaller but it is still big apparently !!"!!!! dont u just love oldies .

Hope your party goes well today! And poor Stanley!! Now he's in his own room, use a humidifier, will stop the blocked noses, it might be just because it was cold last night! That and changing over to the bottle, his body is just adjusting to it,building his own immunity!

well party went well today, all kids were great, just busy this arvo getting school bags lined up & huge pile of ironing to do for tonight, ahhh had two weeks off for my sins !!! looking forward to getting stanley back in to his proper routine next week, but i will miss the kids. got a busy week with parents eve, orthadontists, beavers,cubs, swimming etc.right spagbol time xxxx

I'm in hospital tomorrow with Harriet doing 24 hour tests! Great!! On the other hand, I get a semi peaceful nights sleep, but I'm sooooooo going to miss the droplet and Emmy Emmy!! I hate staying away!! But it'll nice to spend solid time with just Harriet! And the others get time with daddy which is always fun! They get away with soooo much more!!
Got Ewan's 7-9 month check on Tuesday! Should be good! See how the little porkers getting on!! Well we had a wikid weekend too! Got the girls out on the pw50! It was ace! Harriet was ragging round and had the biggest crash! Straight over the too of the handle bars and thrown completely away from the bike! We had a few tears and big cuddles and she got straight back on! The girls got balls!, and Emily braved her first go on her own too! Big girl!! Then we got pissed and kipper on a friends floor on a air mattress after putting all the kids to bed! Very funny, never again!!! I'm soooooooooo tired!!

hope all going well at hospital. i see you had no sleep !! been busy with boys back to school & i have another blimin cold. gonna get back on that spa tone i think. hubbys birthday today so we r going out for curry , yummmmmmm

My goodness that was a stressfull few days!!! Poor Harriet!!! Canula's failing left right and centre, veins calapsing, sooooooooo many finger pricks due to poor collection of blood the first time round, woken every hour through the night, bloods through the night, up down up down, completely had enough bless her!!! And she was soooooooo brave and enjoyed doing soooooo much art work it's unreal!! Poor little girl, you should see the state of her hands!,
The hospital was amazing,new, clean and very spacious! Brilliant play therapists, but the food was awful!, what they feed the kids is atrocious!! Absolute crap!!! How are they supposed to get better????? Even the restaurant I would serve human beings!!! So last night I left the hospital and walked round the corner to buy some take out rice and my goodness I was scared out of my wits!! It was down town dodgeville!!! Dead seedy, and being a village girl, never got g to the city, I hated every second of it!, men hanging around in hoody's dead dark and seedy!! I honestly thought I was going to be knifed! So got my rice and got out of there, fast!! Was so glad to be back next to Harriet who was waiting for me to read her a story! (at 10pm)!!!
So I am unbelievably tired, having to stay three days as a posed to the one day we should of! I must have had about 4 hours, total!! And to top it off, at home, Ewan slept through from 9 till 7 without even a dummy put in!!! Gutted!!!!

I've sacked off all my jobs, and took Ewan to buy his first pair of shoes!!!! You get a photo and everything!!!
Then sat in a travel agent for an hour looking at holidays!!!even I need a holiday now! Can't take any more of this medical crap!!! So, nearly booked one, just oing o show ed!!

My goodness Ewan's feet are wide, tall and fat!!! He's a 2.5. But the widest size they have don't fit so he had to have a 3 so he could get his foot in!!! Bless my porky boy!!

Hi girls sorry for the lack of posts, been poorly with tonsillitis and coughing and then poor nan has been poorly and gone into rehab home, she had an accident bless her, shes in her 90s though. Shes a bit more settled and I'm on the men's more.
Just been catching up on messages now. You've had a difficult time cn - poor Harriet. Hows things now?

Ouch cmm!! Tonsillitis is horrible!! Glad your on the other side of it now! And poor gran! But nice to know she's being cared for now and it puts your mind to rest a little! Less pressure on you and your family! I hope it works out ok! How's little ted? Any better with his sleeping? Trying to deal with that and an illness is never nice! Well done with your weight too, bet you've lost more this week due to not being able to eat! I use a thing for sore throats and infection, it bait weird but does work! I get some cloves of garlic, I give them a little bang to release the aroma's, then bandage them to the feet! Go to bed, then in the morning your through will smell ten times better, your breath smells of garlic so it proves it doing something! It's worked for me!!
Harriet's back to school now and is happy to be back! Then hopefully soon we'll get to talk to her endocrinologist about her results!

Deo, doesn't not eating make your body not loose the weight as it stores everything you give it as it doesn't know where it's next meal is coming from! It's obviously working, but can't help worry that it's a short term thing!! I couldn't do what you do!! Thing you've got determination to do what you've done already! I know when my hubby is working extremely hard like he is now, he doesn't eat that well, skipping meals etc, and is putting on weight! But everyone's body is different and you've lost such a lot already! Well done!!!

Ewan keeps waking at 5.50am every morning, and hubby instead of putting his dummy in and making him go back to sleep, because I've been away and he's an early bird, has now set his body clock! Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

no cn, i am having 3 shakes a day & they have all your nutrients etc in them so u dont go into starvation ! i understand what u r saying but this is a proper diet etc so all health stuff is covered. plus i did it after zak & lost 2 stone & didnt put it back on, remember im fat cause i was preggy not cause im a pig !!! ooops did i say that out loud !!! im not naturally overweight so i dont have a prob keeping my weight off & when i get to a certain bmi i start to introduce 1 meal 2 meals etc. still about 1.5 stone to go ;-S .

i have had a terrible day......in short, went to soft play place with friend this arvo & some man really shouted at zak & called him a little shit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was a right chav, big & aggressive, well .......omg, never in 12 years have i ever been in that situation, i flew accross his table in his face & said how dare u shout at my child & swear at him. & his is not a shit. apparently zak kicked his kid & was gonna grab him round the neck ! then the wife joined in , making out i was a bad mother, "where were u etc etc " she was really common. i very nearly laid her out HOW DARE THEY TALK TO MY KIDS LIKE THAT. we had a massive row, zak was balling, & wouldnt tell me what happened, as it goes he subsequently said they kid was ruining his game, but still no excuse, (if u did kcik) but my friend said its not like zak so he must have done something to upset him. then me & my mate left (we were going anyhow) and i could leave without telling him he made himself look like a tosser ! then we had another row ! he apologised to me for talking to zak like that etc etc & i said that is not how u deal with kids & if he did do it, he should have come & see me etc etc . OMG im soooo angry , how darehe act like that & im angry with zak for behaving like that . oh the NERVE !!!, my mate said i was like a jack russelll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!! What a day!!! I hate confrontations but I would of done exactly the same thing! When it comes to my kids, something else takes over!!! And I hate people like that! your bmi may not be high enough to go on it though babe. if not i would try, weight watchers, then you can eat pasta etc that give u your energy that u use. shaking with rage was an understatement - my firend said my eyes went red like a bull !!!! HOW DARE HE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
