Planning to see how the next week goes before going back to nursery. DS is 2 years and 9 months. Can wee and poo in potty, knows when he's going and tells us, and is going an hour or two between wees so I think he's ready. One accident so far.

I'm sure she won't @OnlyFoolsnMothers I think the odd pull-up is better than stressing if there's something big on!

DD is mostly dry during the day and is working on pooing in the potty.

What should I do with regards to long journeys? I worry about setting her back.

SheepSocks how long a journey?

Accident at nursery today, not sure if my fault since putting on the pull up yesterday.
Another issue, she woke at 2am this morning asking for the potty- I told her to wee in her pull up and she soaked through. I feel so guilty! I really can’t handle waking up on the night for all the wees, unzipping her sleep suit and finding a potty. Plus she takes ages to get back to sleep, I was awake 2-4!!!

After over a week, my DD done her first poo in the potty today!! Never thought I would feel so happy about someone else's turd 😆
Fingers crossed the accidents are on their way out...

@LolaLollypop amazing 👍🏻🧡🧡

Great news @LolaLollypop!

Conversely, my boy has just decided he doesn’t like to poo on the potty. He’d been doing really well with it. But he actually got off the potty last night and then pooed right there on the floor. And then while I was in the bathroom cleaning his potty, he did another poo!! 😏

He then shortly after did a wee on the kitchen floor - after I’d spotted him doing a jig and asked if he needed to go and he said ‘NO!’

I think the problem was him going out and about with the childminder yesterday while wearing a pull up...

@OnlyFoolsnMothers it's been about a month of doing it intensively. She has had a couple of accidents over the last couple of days, one which wasn't her fault, she didn't pull her pants down properly. The second one was because she was too distracted.

The nursery said there would be lots of going back and forward with the training. I think she is in the normal zone.

Hi SheepSocks I meant in response to your question What should I do with regards to long journeys?

SheepSocks · 23/01/2020 16:21

@Onlyfools - d'oh sleep deprivation and baby brain are still real. I consider a long journey 2 hours. I always stop after that to give everyone a break.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 23/01/2020 16:25

SheepSocks lol dont worry. 2 hr journey Id probably stick a pull up at this stage of training, in a couple of months Id risk without.

SheepSocks · 23/01/2020 17:30

@onlyfoolsnmithers - thank you, I'm not planning any journeys just yet, I'll keep pull-ups in the car just incase though.

We are still struggling with poos on the potty at nursery. He's fine at home but just seems to have the fear. Nursery have been great and plan to keep encouraging and we've agreed that if he manages a poo at nursery that he will get a special extra hot wheels car. He gets one in trade for all his stickers at the end of the week so this one would be extra 🤞
