Like it veg.
I think we are all about to descend on your mum's Lady, do you think she'd mind doing bed and break and papers for a whole bunch of us, along with our toddlers (with their varying degrees of dare devilness)?

Veggiemummy · 02/07/2010 11:46

I've just realised it's actually Rubes next isn't it

OP posts:
Veggiemummy · 02/07/2010 11:56

Oh no, has no one seen my link it was on the next page, maybe it's just you & me Spot.

EffiePerine · 02/07/2010 11:59

Thanks for the new thread Veggie!

Summer: am joining with everyone else in wishing a plague on your vendor. What a nobboid.

Would def agree that 2nd pgs are much harder. Especially in tropical weather. Maybe we need to do a collective rain dance?

Rubena · 02/07/2010 12:00

Geez Vagina, that was in the nick of time - ta. Yes I think I might be next well you never know - Lightning might come early But I'm 3 weeks and 3 days away
Bit tmi, but pubes praps wouldn't be suitable from long ago as it's been stripped for a long time now - just neglected of late since I can't see it and dh hasn't been offered or requested to

Lady - I only use waterproof mascasra. I find Diorshow waterproof the best - I always go back to it

Rubena · 02/07/2010 12:01

Effie I don't want rain, but I do want a few degree's cooler and a nice guilt free ice cold chardonnay please

Veggiemummy · 02/07/2010 12:03

Pubes praps?

OP posts:
SummerLightning · 02/07/2010 12:09

Hello,
It's probably going to be Rubes next...but who knows?? I think my due date is almost exactly the same as hers, but c/s likely to make her first...good job you put me in the title though, anything about pubes would get the wider mumsnet offended.

Rubena · 02/07/2010 12:14

Vag!! Pubes perhaps (praps)

sybilfaulty · 02/07/2010 12:21

Love the title. Well done Vag.

Back later. Just been sent a load of work (for extra pay, hurrah!) but forgot to pay the con charge on monday (boo - £60 fine) and also had to contribute to a pal's parking ticket when she parked illegallly for me to go to the cashpoint so am a bit skint. Again.

Happy belated birthday to Avo also!

waitinggirl · 02/07/2010 12:30

bloody hell, you're all very chatty. haven't managed to see what i missed as we've now got a new thread.

spot - couple's therapy - it is going kind of well - in as much as we are getting on much better. i have realised that i have been so furious for so long, and actually that is my problem and says a lot about me. however, i also think that i simply cannot say that much to his face or with him in the room, as there are things which belong in individual therapy and things which belong in couple's therapy. i don't really want to go much longer, and i was the one who was really keen and instigated it, whereas dh is quite keen now. however, i think he is wimping out of a lot of the deep emotional stuff, as he doesn't know how to access/process it, whereas that is much easier for me. in the end i look like a bit of a bitch because i'm the one getting angry and talking about it, whereas he comes across as entirely reasonable, but emotionally distant. and that is the nub of why we are in therapy, really. so it is a bit of a conundrum.

madam is napping and i am going to make myself lie down for a sleep too. just exhaustivated.

thanks for advice re: hospitals. you are probably right, go for everything in the same hospital, bugger the inconvenience. it is only temporary.

JollyBear · 02/07/2010 13:06

Afternoon all,

Napping child, ahhh bliss.

summer What a total idiot expecting you to move house so late. If he has a second home then I don't see why he can't move out sooner. I think setting a deadline is the best move. You do not want to go into labour between houses!

turnip Bleugh! Well done you for not vomiting yourself.

Must use this time wisely and get some more of this job application done before DD wakes up and I have to get back to holding a tea party for DD and a stuffed kangaroo .

spotofcheerfulness · 02/07/2010 13:18

Ooh, Jolly, what's the job?

WG that's really interesting, I'm glad it seems to be helping, do you think you'll go on to do some individual therapy when it's over? I do worry that, given the forum, I would just spew out a whole litany of slights and resentments and DP would wonder why the blinking heck I'm still with him.

Turnip, glad DD2 better, but poor you dealing with vom (particularly vom in mouth) for so long .

SummerLightning · 02/07/2010 13:23

jb he won't move into his second home because it's "derelict" and not safe for his 3 year old apparently. Playing the "oh I have a child too card", lame. why mention it if it's not suitable to move into.

Avocadoes · 02/07/2010 13:31

Oh. My. God. Turnip. That is a horrendous thing to happen. Vom in the mouth. I am without words to describe how badly I would cope with that. Well done for getting through it.

Had a nice lunchtime picnic in the park with a friend and her kids. DD1 is currently obsessed with peeing like a boy so ran off behind a tree and did a wee by pulling her "flaps" into the shape of a willy and standing up. Needless to say it was messy. I didn't notice until too late as DD2 was tantruming at not being allowed to throw my credit cards at the ducks. Sigh. Why on earth am I thinking of a career break/reduction in days??? (on that subject they are both options I want to consider but I need work to pronounce on reducing my days before I can choose. My boss will take my request forward to see if it's viable but he clearly thought it was a pain).

Enjoy your mums LadyT. I am so pleased that yr new phone allows you to keep in touch with us.

I am loving the way you rationalise tv Vegola. DD1 is currently being taught to appreciate the fiber points of the art world courtesy of Squiglett.

SummerLightning · 02/07/2010 13:40

Turnip on the vom in mouth, DS did that to DH once (after weaning too, so not just milky vom). DH screamed like a little girl and I have to confess I laughed

Rubena · 02/07/2010 13:55

OMG Avo that is priceless!!! There's not an emoticon to depict my emotion!

WG glad it's all going well.

Vom in mouth - struth, that's vile. But how?

I was eating dinner last night alfresco and a pigeon in the tree above laid an egg which smashed on the ground next to me and the dog ate it - shell and all. Thought I'd share - it's was very bizarre, and vile.

Rubena · 02/07/2010 13:59

Right my sun / age spot cover has finally arrived so I must get out and get stuff done
Lady are you watching BB tonight I'm hoping that vile Shabby or Irish slut go although I don't care for the hippy doc either

JollyBear · 02/07/2010 14:01

spot It is a part time research job, it is a more of a step down than a step up BUT jobs are like gold dust at the moment, it is a very interesting area and only two days a week. It is very nearly perfect so I probably won't get it!

avo I nearly knocked the laptop off my knee laughing at DD1 weeing like a boy! Sounds very messy indeed. My friend tried a she-wee at Glastonbury but was really bursting for a wee and the force of the stream sent it all down her jeans!

summer Why mention the second home then?! As he was a child then you'd think he'd understand the urgency of the situation. What a nobhead!

urbanewarrior · 02/07/2010 15:07

Afternoon...
Is hot and I'm cross. Pathetic. Mainly cross with myself because I have just paid 3 different car related fines. I've just worked out that mine and DH's general uselessness in various dimensions cost us about a grand last year.

Also could do with some advice... when I pick DD up under her arms she's really crying - it obviously hurts. She did fall down a couple of stairs on weds night and our nanny grabbed her arm to stop her falling (not remotely cross with the nanny of course and she phoned me straightaway to tell me about it). So now nanny and I are worried that maybe she's pulled something. There's no visible mark on the skin and she seems ok if you press her (poor child). But not sure whether I should get her checked out of not. Other than when she is picked up she's her normal happy/stroppy self...

SL a plague on your purchaser.

And turnip that is truly gross. My DCs have only ever been spectacularly sick when DH is out.

Oh arse am supposed to be on way to school. Back later for proper catch up

Great title veg

Turniphead1 · 02/07/2010 15:16

Avo - love the description of flaps!!!!

Jolly that sounds amazing - best of luck with the application.

Rubes I happened to be saying "ooooh whats wrong with you my love" just at the point at which I lifted DD out of the cot and at the presise moment her mouth was in line with (my open one) she projectile vomited....
Its the type of thing if you TRIED you couldn't do something like that.
Summer you ARE awful laughing at your DH - post weaning it is a shocker. This has undigested pasta and carrot (sorry, I know that is WAY tmi....) To be honest, it was bad but I am faily unsqueamish so it wasn't as bad for me as it would be for some people.

LadyThompson · 02/07/2010 15:25

Vom in the mouth? Arranging your ladybits into the appropriate shape for a he-pee? Dogs gobbling raw
warm pigeon eggs? Lovely to see you Turnip, will bore you about the book when I have sufficient energy Rubes, it will depend on Mum's viewing plans as to whether I watch BB but I am with you. You know the other two are bad when Sunshine is the one one wants to keep in.... What do people think about 'spoiling' kids? What constitutes spoiling anyway? The unctuous Oliver James calls it ?love bombing" (
a phrase which makes me vom slightly in my OWN mouth) but I know I have been spoiled by Mum all my life and actually I think it's made me a better person and more keen to spoil others.

KiwiPanda · 02/07/2010 17:04

eughhhhhhhhhhhhhh vom in the mouth surely the ultimate in gross. Well, no, I'm sure there is worse but I don't want to know, thank you

Veggie as a Dutch resident are you happy with the victory? I am delighted! For some reason I've supported Holland since I was tiny. That, and a Czech in the Wimbledon Final - quite a good day for sport in KiwiWorld.
