Fanjo Warriors, here we are

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AuldAlliance · 25/09/2010 19:15

I forgot!!! CONGRATULATIONS GingerSarah!!!

Have just had a quick look, and could definitely afford to come on the w/e of 10th Dec, if I book very soon, as it is scarily cheap.

mrsgboring · 25/09/2010 21:40

Hello all. Sorry will post properly tomorrow, hopefully. Tidied up the garden today and now every time I look out of the window I think I'm in the wrong house. Knackered.

Bicnod · 27/09/2010 19:50

It seems from FB chatter that the 18th is better for more people. If we settled on the 18th would you be able to manage it Auld?

AuldAlliance · 28/09/2010 08:17

I doubt it, Bicnod. Sad
But looking at FB there are more people who can't make it on the 11th.
I'll try and come to the next one.

PuzzleRocks · 28/09/2010 08:27

Auld, I am happy to bow out. I can't do 11th but to be completely honest I can't really afford a jaunt into London so please don't make it the 18th on my account.

AuldAlliance · 28/09/2010 20:13

No, don't, Puzzle. There are several key people who can't come on the 11th.
I'll see what I can do...

OhNoNotTheHoneyBabies · 29/09/2010 12:25

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been AWOL for absolutely ages (used to be kalikaroo in a former life). Blush

Life has been generally getting in the way.

I hope you're all doing well and that your toddlers are creating chaos!! Grin

RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 17:23

Hello OhNo Grin How's it going?

Girls, help me figure this out. It's quite a fun dilemma in the scheme of things.

I've been good friends with a bloke for about 3 years now - we became friends when we worked together in a very sociable office. I've been very drunk with him several times (albeit usually, not always, with other people) & we've never even kissed. He has always talked to me about his ex, I've been married, etc. All platonic & above board. I can think of one time when it seemed like there could have been a kiss (pre-H), but there wasn't (& it might've been in my drunken head anyway).

We've been talking about meeting up again for ages (we both moved away from where we worked originally, in opposite directions, & haven't seen each other for ages. A year or so.) & it just so happens that we're both next in the same city next weekend (of the 9th) - the Saturday is my birthday, so we're going for drinks. As we were texting, it came out that we're both relatively newly single (not in a Wink sort of way - just chatter) & later he asked if I wanted to go 'drinking drinking, or for food'. I assumed we'd sit in a cheap pub, drink a bit, move on to another cheap pub, drink some more & so on. Probably losing money on the quiz machine as we did so, like old times. I'd already made loads of decisions at this point (he goes 'home' more often than I do, so it was based on my availability, what sort of times I can do, etc) & he said 'well we'll be avoiding [busiest drinking street in town] so maybe [nice, upmarket bit of town]?'. I said okay, whatever, & he said that he'd sort it. By which I mean make a reservation somewhere.

... Is this a date? Confused It feels a bit like a date, but I feel like I'm reading into something that isn't there? (I missed all this ridiculous over-analysing Grin)

RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 17:25

By which I think he means^...

RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 17:25

Oh crap. Stupid trying to use arrows to point upwards & italicise. You know what I mean. 'By which I think he means...', up there

Guimauve · 29/09/2010 17:34

Right, goshdarnit I am going to catch-up. Why is it so haaaaaard? And how does time go so quickly?

Plan

  1. Read thread
  2. Talk Kaz into Christmas meet.
RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 17:40

Gui, give your opinion on my dilemma first! I'm itching to get some perspective, because my best girlfriend is busy with her stupid real life & hasn't replied to my text yet, the cow Grin

Guimauve · 29/09/2010 17:56

Not a date, but probulating you for potential future dates! Grin

RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 18:06

Right... so what do I wear?! [aghast]Grin

ZuluWarrior · 29/09/2010 18:14

Something that makes you look nonchalant but which you spend hours getting ready for anyway Grin. Sounds a bit like a date to me....

ZuluWarrior · 29/09/2010 18:15

I've missed your overanalysing Doughnut. Makes me feel like less of a fanny Smile.

RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 18:20

Hehe, 'fanny' Grin Good word.

& I'm thinking as much. I'll be getting ready in my parents' house though, so there'll be so much teasing about my maybe-date Blush I've got a week & a half to figure it out, at least. Grin

Guimauve · 29/09/2010 18:20

You should definitely get yer knockers out.

RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 18:22

I assume you mean to be prominent, not out out. That might be a bit forward. Especially when it's not even definitely a date Grin

Guimauve · 29/09/2010 19:01

First one, then the other!

(Though not in the sense of first left breasty dumpling then right breasty dumpling. That would just be silly.)

RespectTheDoughnut · 29/09/2010 19:03

I guess that would make his intentions clear, at least. I shall ponder it Wink

PuzzleRocks · 29/09/2010 20:53

Confusion is a terrible, terrible thing. Wear http://images3.cpcache.com/product/24060453v3_480x480_Front_Color-White.jpg

PuzzleRocks · 29/09/2010 20:54

PuzzleRocks · 29/09/2010 20:58
