Fanjo Warriors, here we are

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Right. Here goes:

Bebe, huge congrats on your pregnancy and good luck in Munich. Exciting times! You'll be glad to get that 12 weeks scan over and done with.

Bicnod hooray for your scan. Doesn't time fly? July is going to be an exciting month Smile.

Bronze sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. MNetters can be bastards - it's like being in a car - you do things and say things you wouldn't do to someone's face.

AA how was Christmas in Edinburgh? Glad to hear your knee's getting better but that your loneliness is not. That dog woman is mental.

Boff sorry to hear about your friend. The flu is getting young people again.

Hello Wild and Puzzle, or should I say Patsy and Edina?

Schule, MiLs - grrrrrrrr. I have just spent 3 weeks staying with my aunt in law and she's lovely and even she got on my tits.

Hope I haven't missed out anything too major. Hi everyone else!

Zimbabwe was very good. It was pretty rainy and there are lots of power cuts but it was very relaxing and ToddlerWarrior had the time of his life, running around barefoot and climbing on rocks. He spent a while asleep in a room with a cobra in though - I cannot thank you all enough for recommending that littlelife travel cot thing - it may have actually saved him from a disaster!

I'm 3 months pregnant - maybe we should start our own FW antenatal thread? I had been hoping that my symptoms would subside for the holidays but no such luck. I've never lots weight on a holiday before! Must go and get the flu jag.

Love to all xxxx

ZuluWassailer · 22/01/2011 20:50

Dammit still Christmassy

ZuluWarrior · 22/01/2011 20:51
Smile
PuzzleRocks · 23/01/2011 20:27

Congrats Zulu, that's fab news. Smile

bebemoohatessnot · 24/01/2011 10:01

Oh! Zulu that's so cool that you're preggy too. :) Good luck finding the flu jab...there's none around here. (Had to go looking myself) and so I'm hoping I can get it in Germany.

Went to the GP abt anaemia and she took my bloods right away (usually they make you wait for the nurse) and she said I might have the results tomorrow but definitely Wednesday so I'll be able to get a prescription before I go if I'm deficient which makes me relieved.

So I'm debating about bringing a tiny bag of baby things just encase...

AuldAlliance · 24/01/2011 18:44

Congratulations Zulu!!!! Shock about the cobra.

Christmas in Edin was nice, double decker buses and lots of snow, so DS1 loved it. DH took him skating in Princes St Gardens and I took him on the big wheel, more compatible with crutches. A hated the snow, enjoyed the presents enormously.

Good luck with the move, bebe. Flat looks nice. I am a bit Shock at the rent thereabouts, though.

My cousin gave birth recently in deepest, darkest Wales. Got an e-mail with pics and more details from my aunt today. Baby weighed a ton (over 4kg) and she had an 82 hour labour with no pain relief available.

Schulte · 24/01/2011 20:56

82 hours Shock

Schulte · 24/01/2011 20:59

Zulu, congratulations on the pregnancy. Zimbabwe sounds great, good that BabyWarrior loved it. Hope you're starting to feel better though, morning sickness is vile! Bebe - maybe take a few baby clothes, it's not like they take up much space and then you'll be able to iron them, fold them, unfold them, fold them again and dream of the new baby Grin

OP posts:
WildRumpus · 25/01/2011 08:47

Oh Schulte! The image of folding and unfolding clothes has choked me up. Congratulations ZuluWarrior! Gosh what a lot of little warriors on their way. How lovely! Only a teensy bit jealous (as I type my children are trying to beat each other up! This helps to quench any broody feelings)

Auld - ice skating in Princes St Gardens? Oh it sounds beautiful! Sorry about foot. How is it now?

B52s · 25/01/2011 09:35

Congrats Zulu. I had the implant put in last week so no more for me for a (little) while.

Sam has 'fatneck' at the mo as his glands are swollen. Doesn't stop him beating up his elder brother though. Bless.

PuzzleRocks · 25/01/2011 10:20

82 hours!!! (shudder)

I am in a foul mood today. Please tell me that my husband is not the only one who puts every obstacle in the way of just bloody well getting on and doing the bastard DIY? I actually feel murderous.

bebemoohatessnot · 25/01/2011 13:52

Geez Schulte- I don't iron; Don't mention it in front of my husband he might get ideas....

I'm nearly gone crazy; so much to do and little time to do it.

bebemoohatessnot · 25/01/2011 15:38

delayed our departure until Friday now so we've relaxed a little. :)

Bicnod · 26/01/2011 08:44

82 hours?! Shock

and, while we're at it, 20mins auld?! also Shock!!

bebe - glad you've managed to delay departure for a bit

zulu - glad you're out of the closet now Wink enjoy your hols. how is the july antenatal thread? i'm too scared to go there...

schulte when we catching up again? let me know when you're next free on a thursday. oscar keeps talking about hazel and flo so i think they made an impression Grin

WildRumpus · 26/01/2011 09:29

20 minutes??? I've taken longer than that to drink a cup of tea!

Puzzle - please say you haven't murdered your husband.

PuzzleRocks · 26/01/2011 09:44

Not yet.
Have just renewed my car insurance (with him as named driver) and it is £58 more expensive because of his October speeding conviction (which already cost us £60).
This has done nothing to lessen my desire to hit him with my frying pan. My Le Creuset frying pan. And that's a heavy bugger.

WildRumpus · 26/01/2011 11:01

Blimey! Those are heavy. Would you mind waiting till I've had my hair done please? I don't fancy appearing on the news saying what a nice couple you seemed with my roots showing.

PuzzleRocks · 26/01/2011 11:16

I'm having my hair done on Saturday. Perhaps I will wait until then. I want my mug shot to be more this than this

WildRumpus · 26/01/2011 11:25

Perfect. I'm at the hairdressers on Saturday too.

WildRumpus · 26/01/2011 11:34

I'll make sure I've got my full slap on when I go out for the papers on Sunday and bump into the news crews. "She seemed such a nice quiet girl. I don't know what the neighbourhood is coming to."

AuldAlliance · 26/01/2011 11:52

I don't know when to count labour as actually starting, but I walked in the hospital gates at 7:50am, and it took a wee while to stagger upstairs to the maternity ward, find a midwife, get undressed and have her say "your baby is here, start pushing". He was born at 8.17am. Let's say 25 mins. I can't begin to imagine 82 hrs.

Puzzle, you'd look good in one of those orange jumpsuits. If you use a Le Creuset frying pan, it might make the French news. Or you'll have to be really, really inventive to get into the headlines here. Otherwise I might miss the whole thing. And it's not every day someone I have met on the Internet know commits murder.

WildRumpus · 26/01/2011 12:07

Oh the French would just shrug and say it was a Crime De Passion and send her on her way with a gentle reprimand. But no doubt the orange jumpsuit would be exquisitely well cut and just the right flattering shade of orange.

bebemoohatessnot · 26/01/2011 17:50

Had my scan. The little thing is still so small, that they could hardly see it. Only 10 weeks just like I thought :) so mid august 18th 25th ish for due date :)

PuzzleRocks · 26/01/2011 20:26

Aw. Summer baby. It's going to be quite exciting following all the pregnancies on here.

We are no longer at DEFCON 1. Operation Kill is standing down. He has done much to redeem himself this evening.
And I sorta fancy him so it's nice to have him around.

WildRumpus · 27/01/2011 07:23

Lovely Bebe. I had imagined you would be having the baby there but it looks like you will have a few weeks clearance. All very exciting.

Puzzle - glad you decided not to kill DH in the end. I'm
sure he has his uses Wink.
