Hi, just popping by as everyone has gone - T's had his family party today. It went well but I didn't feel I saw much of him other than to tell him off still hopefully he had fun.

sorry to hear that runny, will go and read the link now, but doubt I'll hvae any advice. Hope you're OK x

Pesha · 24/04/2010 23:28

Hi all, thank you for Dylan's birthday messages. We had a lovely day with the 1 yo i look after and J had day off work so we went to park and saw ducks and a heron and played in the sand there. Luckily didn't have the 2 more 'challenging' dc I'd normally have on a friday so enjoyed relaxed playing with his new toys in the garden before having tea at pizza hut. Big party tomorrow in a hall with soft play blocks and, 23 children (I think) ranging in age from 11 months to 12 years! Lots of my friends' children and CMing children coming hence doing it in a hall and not at home!!
Feeling bad about cake, was going to make one as I always have in the past but so tired. Decided to copy a dinosaur cake fom a book rather than designing my own like normal so baked cake earlier but have forgotten to buy half the things I need to decorate it so I may do it tomorow but TBH I doubt it. Memory is awful at mo, twice last week I left playground leaving a child behind , cant hold a tain of thought or conversation without forgetting what I'm saying, its like pg brain but 10 times worse and without the excuse!!! Keep trying to see my dr but they only ever seem to have appointments with her after 3pm which I cant make, told me I need to ring bang on 8:30am to get an appointment but thats exactly when I'm leaving the house with 6 or sometimes 8 children so not very easy!!

Sorry for moaning, feeling shitty bout it tonight. Hand dead and twitching now so off to bed.
will come back soon and be happy and less self absorbed!! going to make more effort!

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2010 20:28

Hope you had a super party today

Love to "see" Zazas

Busy weekend - tried to do some fmaily pics today, not sure how they will turn out Oh well.

Happy Birthday to James

Phoebe is already saying "five more sleeps". Cute!

Morning ladies.

Runny, sorry to hear about your job. If you fancy a chat at any time you can always come over for coffee

Pesha, hope you manage to sort out a doctor's appointment soon x

I feel a bit weird today after having the most horrible dream last night. I dreamt that my ds had died , and I actually woke up crying. It was awful, his coffin was there too and it all felt so real. Needless to say I gave him an extra big hug this morning. I don't think I have ever had such a nasty dream before.

F has gone off to school again today, and was actually happy to go in. Last week we had some hysteria, but she seemed much calmer today which was lovely.

ScarletBandit · 26/04/2010 10:57

Have a look at my profile page, have just uploaded a pic of F's first day at school in her uniform.

CaptainDippy · 26/04/2010 11:10

Oh, how horrid for you SB I've had similar dreams before, they are so vivid, they nearly take my breath away and leave me feeling all weird for the next day. Poor thing! On a happier note, little F looks soooo cute in her school uniform - bless!! Hope she has lots of fun xx

Just out of interest - any of your mummies on here be interested in a Kiddopotamus Piddle Pad? I'm happy to post it for free to whoever would like it. First come, first served

CaptainDippy · 26/04/2010 12:11

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Alex

OP posts:
Bramshott · 27/04/2010 13:54

Wow SB - F looks so little and cute, and yet so grown up in her school uniform. N's school uniform is red cardis and red checked dresses for summer, so that's what O will be wearing when she goes too.

Sorry to hear you've still got health problems Pesha, but very nice to "see" you.

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2010 14:43

Happy Birthday Tristan!!!! xx

Maveta · 27/04/2010 22:21

Happy Birthday April (and early may) babies! My how they´ve all grown..

hello to all of you lovely april mummies too. I should pop by more, when i think how we all helped each other along in those early days/weeks/months I could kick myself for not staying in touch better.

Thanks in great part to the amazing support I got from you lot that I have gone from being pretty clueless, often worried, bored or out of my mind with sleep deprivation to feeling like.. you know, I´m a proper mum! Does that sound weird?! I mean, I remember having this tiny baby and friends saying "so what´s it like to be a mum?" and me thinking "in name only! i haven´t got a clue, I don´t feel like a mum!" and now I do, I am, and I might make mistakes but I do ok. And you guys gave me a lot of help in gaining that confidence.

I just wanted to say thank you xxx

Sexonlegs · 28/04/2010 07:59

Maveta, your post made me cry! Lovely to see you. You set for baby number 2 then??!!

SB What an awful dream. Hope you are ok. F looked so sweet in her uniform; so grown up!

Need to run. Cats to feed, school run blah ... have an awful sinus headache

StealthPolarBear · 28/04/2010 08:44

Hi everyone
Thanks Dippy
have had a stressful couple of days
On Monday I made a GP appointment as A had a nasty rash on her hand, I assumed it was dribble related but just wanted to check. Saw the nurse who was reassuring but said she'd just make me an appt with the doctor.
Doctor said as the rash was non blanching she would admit A to hospital, probably overnight . So we were there most of the day for observation and blood tests, but thankfully sent home in the afternoon, just a viral rash.
Then yesterday, T's birthday, DH got up early so we could all have breakfast together and he could open his presents. I was slicing a muffin when the knife slipped and I cut the bottom of my finger. Blood everywhere, T to the lovely neighbours and quickly in the car back to hospital - A&E this time! Have been steri stripped & it's fine, but struggling to rest it and keep it dry. Never mind.

As well as all that, we had a really busy weekend, and Monday was going to be my catch up day. By yesterday neither had clean clothes and the house was a tip Anyway, we went out for lunch in the end with mum and MIL, and then to the park, so hopefully he didn't have too bad a day

Doobydoo · 28/04/2010 20:00

Fab pic SB...Eeek to your dream..hope you have recovered?
SPB...Blimmin heck.So glad you all ok.
HAPPY BORTHDAY again to all babies.
Been busy just checking you all still hereand haven't caught up properly.
Maveta...lovely to hear from you.
Weird here...Yesterday dp asked M to get his shoes as they were going in garden[me at work and ds1 at school]M went to utility room door and then stopped and asked dp to get em.It transpires that M has seen a grey man with a grey face who swishes a rope near M's face...M said 'you go because the grey man will get me'..he seemed surprised that dp couldn't see this man on the stairsAnyway my sister did some research today and in the 1850's a rope and sack maker used to live here!!!!!!!We haven't told ds1 as he dosen't like using those stairs.Very odd eh?
Anyway...hope you all ok ladies and children.
xx

StealthPolarBear · 28/04/2010 20:56

So sorry for the selfish post, just sick of the last few days.
Dooby, that is really really freaky. Did M seem scared or just matter of fact?
You people with your old houses...ours was built in 2000 - the only scary things we get are the bailiffs

Doobydoo · 28/04/2010 21:26

[GRIN]
hE WAS ABIT FRIGHTENED DP SAID BUT DIDN'T INDICATE THAT MAN WAS really horrid!Very odd indeed. You aint bin selfish...very scary re A and your poor finger..bet it hurts and it's not like you can rest it!
Sorry Runny that is pantsdo you have anything in pipeline?

CaptainDippy · 28/04/2010 23:01

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 29/04/2010 07:58

No Birthdays today!!

OP posts:
runnyhabbit · 29/04/2010 10:41

Good Morning all

Dooby - Blimey, think I'd be a bit freaked out too. Though it does intrigue me, iyswim. Think I do believe in ghosts though.

SPB - How are you today? It's pants when you have a run of crap days.

I'm ok, was all confirmed yesterday, but they've very kindly paid me redundancy (was only a few weeks short of 2 years)
Feel better now, I know where I am, and not in limbo. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. Although one thing is for sure - I could not be a SAHM (unless both boys were in school)

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 10:46

sorry to hear that runny, glad you got redundancy though
what do you do?i have a feeling i know in general?

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2010 10:48

aaargh just noticed this on Pillock's MSN status:
Tuesday april 27th (or something like that) in hospital with Joe. Chest infection and pneumonia. Very ill. Have mobile with me.

Has anyone heard from her?

runnyhabbit · 29/04/2010 10:53

Bloody hell, hope they're ok Don't think I've got her number though

I would really like to go into teaching, but don't have a degree, so not sure how to go about it. Think I'll have a chat with the school, because they used to ask volunteers to help with reading catch up.

CaptainDippy · 29/04/2010 11:40

Here's more info from Ellen's (Pillock's) FB page from her ex:

"I am writing this on behalf of Ellen, she has not asked me to do this as but I think her friends should know. For about the last 12 days Joe has not been very well, in and out of doctors for check ups with the GP's saying they couldn't find anything wrong....
However last Monday he was sent to hospital for a blood test. This showed he had an
infection. He's had a scan and it has been confirmed that he now has pneumonia. He is currently in hospital having treatment and ellen is with him. I'm sure she and Joe would appreciate your support at this time. Ellen or I will keep you posted."

You can do "training on the job" to do teaching now RH - you should ask your local schools about schemes they run - Glad you got your redundancy - so they bloomin' should!!!!!! I could be a F/T SAHM either (unless they were at school & I was permanently in Starbucks )

I have text Ellen, so will let you know if I hear any more. Do hope Joe is going to be ok. DD1 had Pneumonia at 15 m and nearly died. It was truly awful

AngeG · 29/04/2010 21:44

Hi all!

Just popping by quickly to say I have just been speaking to Pillock (Ellie)! Joe is still in hospital and has been since Monday,he has pneumonia and some fluid around his lungs. Ellie is running herself ragged, being there with Joe, sorting out childcare for Matthew and has been into work this evening! I told her everyone is thinking of her. She is going to keep me up to date, so I'll let you know when I hear anything.

Hope everyone else ok.
AngeG xx
