Whenskiesaregrey ? Bunnymother?s initials are BCT am really hoping we?ll be able to house swap after all as the youngest son of the ?swappers? has chicken pox and his older brother hasn?t had it yet ? they are meant to arrive here 2 weeks tomorrow! how did the football go?

Venetianred ? difficult times for you hon keep talking to us x

Gauchita ? had a good night out with my friend thanks, we sat by the sea in lovely comfy seats, had a couple of drinks and listened to good music, perfect!

Strawberry ? have sent you a friend request on FB I?m AM.

Snow ? don?t want to spoil BM?s surprise ? will send her a message to come and tell you herself

All good here, SIL has moved to her own apartment tonight though she is still here for another week with a friend. It has been great having her here but hard too. She had our room and whilst I don?t get to sleep there for much of the night I still missed my bed!

A had an injection today, her 3rd PCV. It?s 80 euros a shot here and you need 5!! It?s not a compulsory injection but I wanted her to have it as it is standard in the UK. Poor thing seems a bit under the weather tonight ? calpol and cuddles

Who else is still BFing? Really want to stop but don?t want to disrupt our nights any further??!

Hi all!

Mrsmc, still breastfeeding here. Glad you had a great night out I know what you mean about "your bed", good you have it back Ohhh fingers crossed for the house swap!

Strawberry, I lurked on that thread and was completely shocked. DH works in marketing and he couldn't believe it, someone at the agency that Coke hired really screwed up and heads will surely roll. I'm sorry to hear about your friend, it's so hard to give the right advice, isn't it? You don't want to say too much or be too honest as then when something like this happens and they decide to go back and give the relationship another go you feel like a mean witch, been there with my sister! Unfortunately until they "click" and see it for themselves, there's not much anyone can say or do

Snow, thinking of you, girl. Have you decided what you want to do this week in memory of the baby? How was the 3D scan on Sat?

Skies, I'm NMM on FB, I'm probably easy to recognise among the Juners as I have a name in Spanish I've been biting my fingers and agree with MrsMc, it's best for Bunny to come and tell us all herself

June, hope you're having a great time in France!

Vene, hi, how are things?

Thank you all for your kind words re. the problem I had with my last assignment. Tomorrow I'm attending a webinar to train in the new software

DH was chuffed yesterday when M took one of his golf clubs and started trying to hit a ball Cue him asking me to take her with him to the club and letting him "teach" her a bit at the practice green Bless him...

Waves to all!

bigcar · 20/07/2010 10:26

morning all

whenskies, so sorry to hear about your uncle it's horrible to see those you love so much suffering, it almost becomes a relief when they pass away It's lovely to see you back! We also hit the next sale, didn't get that much, the christmas one always seems better somehow. Ds1 was also bored rigid, sports direct is only a couple of shops up from next, he's much happier in there!

snow, sending you ((((hugs)))) and hoping this week goes as well as it can. This may sound a little odd but we always eat mousakka (sp) on christmas eve in memory of my mum as she always used to cook it for us, it makes her part of our christmas even though she's not with us. Sympathies on the mw front, it's much like that here, you never got a chance for a proper chat. Hope the scan went well, how are you feeling now?

venetian, what a lovely idea, hope the new plant does a bit better, last winter I think was much colder than usual, not quite sure what happened to global warming Sorry to hear about dhs job and having to put your wedding back, I'm sure your friends will understand. Has he got any idea what he's going to do next?

june, hope your having a good holiday

gauchita, how fantastic, a car have you got a date for your test yet? I must learn to read properly, reading your last post, I read you're attending a winebar, well done on getting the work done, these things always happen at the worst times! Well done to M and the walking, makes our los seem much more grown up I think.

laura, lovely to see you back

MrsMcJnr, hope the chicken pox doesn't stop your visit, if he comes out with it in the next couple of days it should all be ok. I hope you don't mind me saying, but you don't sound the same as you used to when you talk about your dh, I hope you're ok E stopped feeding about 3 weeks ago, his choice, he wasn't really interested any more, too much else going on that he's interested in!

strawberry, I was watching that thread too, totally shocking!!!! I can't believe they thought putting anything sexual was acceptable, let alone the fb page that was set up against mrsr for taking a stand someone needs a right royal kick up the arse for those ones!

bunny, please come tell us your news [excited non fber]

skillbo, you must be mrs skillbo by now, how did everything go [shamlessly nosey ] How's J doing?

thanks for you kind words for E His blood tests were all clear, his chest was clear for the first time since he was 4 months old and he passed his hearing test on the whole so pretty good He's still got glue in his ears but it's not having such an effect on his hearing so hoping his speech will start to come on now.

dd3s meeting went pretty well, everyone is slowly coming round to my way of thinking We're going to have a fresh start in september with a new 1:1 who will be given lots of support and very regular reviews to see how she's getting on.

dd2 has got tickets to see JLS on thursday, we're currently arguing over who will take her as neither of us wants to go and dd1 who would go is working. Mil has now offered to take her so may have to take her up on that one!

the dcs all break up this week, the summer holidays are almost here [yay] it's often hard work having them all home for quite this long, especially when boredom sets in towards the end but it's wonderful not having to do the school run in the morning! No firm plans yet, if it stays like this I think the paddling pool is going to prove its worth, we have a nice park almost opposite so that be used well, as for the rest, we'll just see how it goes.

waves to all

MrsMcJnr · 20/07/2010 12:35

A is a bit under the weather today after her injection yesterday, barely slept last night, had a temp and wanted to feed all night, poor little thing. She's had a 2 hour nap this morning. I'm just letting her sleep. Wish I could, I can hardly keep my eyes open!

bigcar · 20/07/2010 12:55

MrsMcJnr, poor (both of) you, hope X decides on a nap this afternoon too

bunnymother · 20/07/2010 16:08

Hi there lovely Juners, its the absent Bunny here!

Well, I found out a while ago that I was pregnant, but didn't want to tell anyone until we were past the 12 week mark. So on Friday afternoon we went for our 12 week scan (at almost 14 weeks) and found out that we are having identical twins and that I am 18 weeks pregnant!!

I burst into tears and DH started laughing and grinning. Complete contrasts in reactions - me panicking at the thought of 3 under 2 (Delie will be 18 months) and DH thrilled that he gets a bigger family (I have found this pregnancy quite draining so said its the last one). Fast forward to now and I am starting to feel excited about having 2 babies instead of 1 and thinking that it will be really tough, but that with planning and a full time nanny, its possible. I have been a bit worried about how it will be for Delie, so we are getting a nanny in part so that she gets enough attention and can continue her normal lifestyle.

So between now and mid-December (current due date) I will be scanned and monitored fortnightly as twin pregnancies carry potential complications. So that's my bombshell!!

And it sounds like things are up and down for the rest of you?

Gauchita - your DH bought you a car? Nice present, DH!! Hope you get your licence soon so you can zoom zoom around w little M.

Venetian - sorry to hear about your DH's job. At least you have lots of notice, but its stressful contemplating job changes and frustrating that after all he has put in, he still needs to get another job. Re your wedding- think that's def the best thing to do. Sorry for your guests, but its necessary to postpone. Weddings BURN through the cash, and getting married isn't as important as paying the rent! Am sure everyone will understand, and those that don't are unreasonable.

MrsMcJnr - how fab you are going to Scotland for a holiday! I often think of you and marvel at you continuing on with A not sleeping. Delie isn't the best and I find it really tough, but she isn't in the same league as A!

Snow - so sorry for your loss. Its only that I have a child that I could begin to actually empathise with how devastating that must be. And Venetian - am sorry you had to be reminded of your loss due to fern dying, the nasty thing.

Time to finish the VAT return... Bored just thinking about it. But now that I am "out" will be back again much sooner!!!

bigcar · 20/07/2010 16:50

bunny, how fantastic, congratulations Twins, wow! Do they run in the family at all? That's some news, you must be due around the same time as snow, this is lovely news

MrsMcJnr · 20/07/2010 22:26

Isn't it exciting Juners (BM's news)??? I am fascinated by twins, especially identical ones! Apparently they come down the male line.

Poor A slept for 3 hours this morning but it meant a lovely time for X and I - we had such fun, reading books, painting, chatting. Then he went to sleep just as she woke up so DH and I had her to ourselves too - perfect. Her temp seems to have gone, let's hope we have a better night.

venetianred · 20/07/2010 22:44

bunny - FABADABADOO

Congratulations and well done for surviving the first trimester. Sometimes we can worry desperately about how we will cope, and at other times we just smile hugely at the wonderful joy that children bring into our lives and think 'que sera sera'.

I'm so happy for you. Although I'm a bit old to contemplate 3, I think 3 is a fabulous number. Also the lovely synergy is that, younger kids always idolise the older ones, so although the two twins will be a bit of a combined force at times, Delie will be the bigger one they want to impress and be great mates with.

lol

bunnymother · 21/07/2010 07:25

Thanks for the congratulations!!

Bigcar - there aren't any twins in either of our families and these aren't IVF babies, so no reason to think that we would have twins. Although DH stupidly promised me a diamond bracelet if I had twins (he really, really wanted more babies!). And I intend on holding him to that promise. In about 25 years when we actually have any cash again!!

MrsMcJnr - oh, is that how it works - I still don't know much (despite frantic Googling, but mainly about complications and what questions to ask the consultant on Friday).

Venetian - I am one of 3 (obv all singletons) and really like the potential for all different relationships that you get with 3. However, I think that twins often have a v close bond that can sort of "exclude" the other sibling/s, but maybe I am being totally paranoid and that won't happen due to the closeness in ages. As you can prob tell, am feeling v sensitive about Delie and how it will be for her. Much more so than if we had had 3 consecutive pregnancies.

I don't recommend a twin pregnancy as way to enjoy yourself, esp the first trimester. I was wiped out, much more than when pregnant w Delie. But then aren't we all when we have a little one to run around after??

But once I get past the worrying (which is pointless - work out your concerns and address them), I think it will be incredible and that they are a gift.

Am seeing consultant on Friday for "counselling" on what twins involve and a confirmation scan in specialist area, so will let you all know if anything interesting comes out of that.

Gauchita · 21/07/2010 07:39

Hi all!

Twins! Bunny, congratulations again. Glad the hard early stage has passed now. I'm sure D will be besotted with the babies, and Vene is right, they'll look up to her and have fun together

Vene, thanks for that link, those are cute How are you?

Mrsmc, hope A feels better soon.

Bigcar, a winebar would have been nice, although given the time the webinar was, it would have been a tad early So glad E's tests went really well and things are looking great And great news re. DD3's school! Fingers crossed for a good new start in September I don't have a test yet. I had to buy the new software for work and that was a chunk of money I hadn't expected to spend so I'm going to wait until August to book it now. Oooooh JLS, I bet she's excited! But I can see why you and DH would find it a bit less fun Who knows, maybe grandma ends up really liking it and becomes a fan

It poured over here last night. DH had gone to get me some things from the supermarket and he got home soaked

The webinar was great, really useful. I have another one tomorrow morning, hopefully after this week I'll know how to use the new software

I'm having lunch with my translator friend today and then we're going to a baby session together. Hope we don't have too much rain

Hope you have a nice day, Juners!

Waves to all

Gauchita · 21/07/2010 07:44

x-post bunny!

Hope you feel more reassured after Friday's appointment with the doctor. I'm sure the worry will go away. Ohhhh get ready, Bunny's DH, bracelet time!

snowwombat · 21/07/2010 07:57

bunny What wonderful news!!!! I love twins, my god-daughters are identical twins and they are amazing. What a shock at the scan- dates out and twins! Glad you are starting to feel a bit better. Bring on a glowing 2nd trimester! Good luck at the appt fri! D will love them and she will have two little sisters that idolise her.

Anyone for a chicken pox party? A's spots appeared yesterday. Thankfully he is in good spirits this morning after a crappy night. Luckily his christening next sunday not this one!Poor little thing is coated in spots.

gauchita sounds like you have a lovely day ahead, enjoy. How funny about M and the golf clubs!

mrsmc sorry A still not sleeping well. A is hit and miss, a run of good nights then up 2 or 3 times for the next few. Hope A on the mend soon.

Vene how you doing?have you spoken to your friends?

bigcar so so pleased that E's tests were clear, how reassuring for you.

skies how was the football match

well, we won't we going to the end of term playgroup party today. bummer!

bigcar · 21/07/2010 10:29

morning all

bunny, lol, hope the window shopping starts now, got to make sure you get the right bracelet! Second and subsequent pregnancies are always harder as you have los to run around after, however I should imagine that is hugely magnified with twins I think lots of rest must be in order Have you posted on the multiple births topic yet? They will be the ladies to ask re consultant appointments and advice. And of course you'll have the whole double buggy thing as well I think D will surprise you, particularly at her age, she will take it all in her stride, dcs always cope much better than we do. Hope all goes well friday

gauchita, we seem to avoided all the rain here, it's been so hot (for here!) a bit of rain would be a relief, although I'm sure dh wouldn't see it like that! Have fun today, sounds lovely

MrsMcJnr, good to hear A is feeling better!

venetian, I think you're spot on there, dd1 is very much looked up to here Not for long, dd2 is currently the same height as dd1 at 11, dd1 is most put out that her 11 year old sister will be passing clothes down to her soon

snow, poor old A, hope he's not too badly affected. What a pain having to miss the party!

we went to dd2s y6 leavers play yesterday and for the first time in 8 years the senco put a smile on my face, she was the back end of the trojan horse, absolutely fantastic, made my day

waves to all

whenskiesaregrey · 21/07/2010 11:10

Hello everyone, isn't this weather depressing?! we have had non-stop heavy rain for two days now, and its forcast for today too, eurgh. Its my uncle's funeral tomorrow, and I hope the weather holds off. My uncle's wife put a really sad status on facebook about him wanting to see the summer out, and hoping the rain stays away for his day

snow sorry to hear about A's chicken pox, poor thing. At least they will be out of the way now at least? Hope they don't bother him too much and are all gone by next Sun!

MrsMc I hope your house swap still goes through! What will happen if it doesn't? I'm still breastfeeding btw, one in the morning and one at night. This week though I have started replacing breast with bottle in the morning, and it is going well so far. I was going to try and miss out bottles altogether, but haven't got the energy for a fight at the moment, so going to keep things easy with a straight swap! Oh and speaking of male genes, did you know that babies get their hair loss gene from their mother's father. So if you look at the head of hair your dad has, that should indicate whether your son will keep his hair, or bald in old (or not so old in some cases!) age!

gauchita I love that video you put on facebook, so cute! M looks like she is loving the golf, poor thing, hope she grows out of it get her playing football!!

bigcar So glad E's test all went well. So is there anymore follow up? Also glad that people are starting to listen to you more regarding DD3, nobody will know her better than you! Hopefully next year will be a good one for her with 1:1 x And JLS? I wouldn't be too keen either although I did catch DP singing 'the club is alive with the sound of muuuuusic' while he was bathing C the other night bless!

bunnymother living up to your name lol! Congratulations! I would love twins! DP and I are currently at odds whether we want 2 or 3 children (I want 3, he wants 2), so twins next would be perfect for us! Have you thought about how you will approach the buggy situation?? Hope you're not worrying too much x

june hope you are having a nice time in France? x

Hi to all!

Football tournament went well, but can you believe someone complained to the organiser that I was allowed to play! Wouldn't be suprised if it was Men Only next year .

Just appled for a job as a research assistant, argh! Wont hear until mid-Aug at the earliest now, but a bit nervous. Don't think I have much chance as I dont have a lot of relevant expererience, but I am pinning my hopes on their not being many applicants

I am reading at my uncles funeral tomorrow, not really looking forward to it, but glad I have been given the opportunity to have an input in his day. I just hope it goes okay. He is back at his house now, my mum is going to see him tonight. I might go with her, I haven't decided yet

C has his needle today too DP is taking him, its something I am just no good at, and I dont want him to pick up any negativity from me!

Hope you all have a nice day xxx

morning all

whenskies, we have had non stop sun so far! Hope today goes as well as these things can and the rain holds off for the day. E has another hearing test in 6 months time, I think if he's clear then, they will sign him off. The men are obviously just jealous of your football skills, miserable lot Hey, you were probably up against the likes of my dh who hadn't played for years, dh has only been back at work for 2 weeks after breaking his wrist in his work tournament Good luck for the job, hope C was ok after his jabs, E has his in a couple of weeks.

strawberry, that's a lot of twins! When are you due to move? Dh is off to uni isn't he?

Meet up list:
laura
june
gauchita
bigcar
ineed
strawberrysam

copied from higher up the thread. Maybe we need to get a few suggestions for dates. I'm fairly flexible but if anyone has dates that are good or bad? September or august, what's better?

venetianred · 22/07/2010 09:57

Hi all,

I've just got one friend left to talk to, and as I know she has booked her flights and changed her plans to fit in with me, I don't have the heart to call her. I really have to but feel sick thinking about it - so hard!

A meet up is too hard for me as in Manchester with two little ones, dp often away and no family to babysit....but I look forward to hearing all about it.

sam could you advertise your flat on ebay (one weeks rental during the golf). You never know - you could get enough money to pay for a decent holiday?

mrsmc - hope it all comes together for you.

bigcar · 22/07/2010 11:05

venetian, I'm sure your friend will be ok, none of you were to know dh would loose his job I'm sure there are juners up your way, maybe we need 2 meetups?

strawberry, venetian makes a good point, you should see what people in Wimbledon get for their houses over the fortnight!

llynnnn · 22/07/2010 11:45

Hi all

Sorry for being absent things still manic here, dh still off work and struggling with his back. I'm worried about money as although is on full pay at the mo that will end in 3 weeks and he'll be down to half. not quite sure how we are going to manage, hoping it just sorts itself out! (burying head in sand!)

Sorry I can't catch up with everyone individually (I'm at work at the mo!) will try to come back soon

hugs to all x

venetianred · 22/07/2010 12:55

Well, bigcar - it's not 'official' you see....99% certain but not official, so I can't really tell people it's because dp has lost his job - just say that it is highly likely his job will be axed. And as it is it now is looking possible, that he may be 'moved' over to a sister company, as just started work on a project that is looking quite profitable. It changes week by week and is doing my head in.

lynn - I really sympathise. How long would that be for that he is on half pay?

Gauchita · 22/07/2010 19:35

Hi all!

Vene, sending you strength vibes, I'm sure your friends will understand. Even if your DH's job situation is not definite, it's still uncertain, and means you're being more careful and cautious with your finances. Uncertainty can definitely do your head in, so try and be as calm as you can, do any of your RL friends know? (((hug))) Oh, I'm up north, like you, so Bigcar's idea might be a good one, if there are more of us near we can have a "northern meet-up"

Llynn, sorry to hear DH's still suffering with his back. He has an appointment with his doctor in August, right? Not long now, hopefully he'll be able to receive the help he needs, fingers crossed.

Bigcar, hope you're still having dry weather, it's all over the place here It's been quite cold today, and very windy. Fingers crossed for E to be signed off in 6 months

Strawberry, hi! I think Vene's idea might be good, another vote for looking into it

Snow, oh, poor wee A, hope he's still in good spirits and the scabs don't itch too much. How's the bump? You're about 18-20 weeks, right? Is bubba moving yet?

Skies, to be honest, DH plays (and likes) so many sports that if she plays one he'll be elated Shame on the boys from your tournament! I bet bigcar's right, they couldn't breathe by minute 10 I know today was going to be a hard day for you, sending you (((hugs)))

Hi to all Juners!

Busy day here, another webinar this morning, DH had the day off and took care of M, fortunately.

M surprised us a few times today, she started "singing" along her nursery rhymes book and then mimicking the "think think think" Winnie Pooh song DH almost fainted
