huge happy birthday hugs to gauchitas M and bunnymothers D Hope you're all having a lovely day and the rain's holding off!

laura,

ineed, wow, impressive, I always get dh to do bikes, I can do most other things but not the bikes Good luck with the run, hope dh gets through the day ok.

waves to all

AllSheepareWhite · 14/06/2010 19:21

Happy birthday to gauchita's M and bunnymother's D. Hope you had a great day in spite of the rain.

Interview went well, but travel distance may be a problem I want to get home in time to see N before she goes to bed at least. Oh well plenty more in pipeline, I'm gonna be an interview pro once these next few weeks are out. Definitely moving to west London looks like next week I am happy, but didn't realise how much stuff we have aaarghhh packing nightmare!

Bigcar - I imagine it would be difficult so late in the term, I hope the cover 1:1 will at least be people DD3 knows from around the school so she will have some consistency, change is always upsetting to any child.

Hi lauraloo - nice to 'meet' you, I will be following you with the weaning shortly. N is still breastfed and has started 2 hourly nightfeeds . I need some sleep!

AllSheepareWhite · 14/06/2010 19:23

Oh and hi to ineed - well done on the bike, quite like building things (except Ikea furniture, always missing something).

Gauchita · 14/06/2010 19:37

Hi all!

Allsheep, glad to hear the interview went well. I know what you mean re. commuting, that happened a lot to DH before, he'd get home when M was fast asleep. Fingers crossed for the ones coming next Glad to hear the move is on its way, not long now I'm also BFing M but I'm thinking of introducing cow's milk at least for when she wakes in the morning

Bigcar, hope they give DD3 the support she needs until the new keyworker comes in September. When does the school year finish? Is it July?

Ineed, good luck on Saturday, we'll be thinking of you. I guess Sunday will be hard for your DH, strength vibes going your way. Well done you putting together DS's bike I'm absolutely useless with things that have parts, screws and a manual with graphics I just get tired by looking at the picture

Lauraloo, hi! Wow! Running already! Well done S

Bunny, happy birthday D!

Skillbo, happy birthday J!

Choccie, happy birthday E!

I'm 99.9% sure about J and E's birthdays, hope I'm right

Hi to all Juners!

Thank you for the birthday wishes for M

We had a lovely day with M. We had lunch with DH and she opened her presents (two small ones as she had got the trike before) and she was happily playing away We then went to a playzone and she knackered herself out and is now fast asleep

I'm buying the last things for the party, I had forgotten about the cake board! The trial cake turned out great (first time making one from cake mix) so it's a relief

Right, off to work now that the flat is silent (DH is watching football so it's as if he wasn't here )

Waves!!!

Happy Birthday M (gauchita's).

Sorry not to be here - really flat out with guests and stuff. Had a small birthday get together today with two little baby friends and 3 4yr olds and my Aunt - just made fairy cakes with hundred and thousands on top.

Making Victoria Sponge now for tomorrow - to go with the bottle of champagne.

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 14/06/2010 21:17

Sorry to hear about your depression strawberry - I hope the counselling improves soon and you start to see some progress.

June2009 · 14/06/2010 21:19

hey, just popping on to say happy birthday gauchita's M and bunnymother's D
ineed good luck for your run and Happy Birthday!

I'm having a bit of a meltdown I think.

I went to the shops to get an outfit for Sunday (c's bday party) and even picked a few things, then had some kind of anxiety attack or something, felt really confused and couldn't work out if the stuff I picked was nice or awful or what, lost all my confidence, ended up buying NOTHING and started crying and been crying on and off since then.
It's all because a year on I still look pregnant. A few friends have been asking me if we want more kids and I think it's because they think I am pregnant again.
I need to organise some gym time basically and finding it really hard.
I was just remembering how happy I was when I was training everyday and how much I miss it now (and the effect it is having on my body.)
I know as well that it wouldn't take that long to get back into shape (less than a year) if only I could train as much/regularly as before.
I'm sure I can somehow, it's just frustrating that I haven't managed to so far, really feel like I've let myself down.

Sorry for bringing the birthday mood down! I saw my rl friends today and couldn't even bring myself to talk about it with them. I feel like I've really lost all my confidence all of a sudden.

It kinda just hit me in the face that it's been a year, it's such a milestone!

Strawberry, what an awful thing to say! Hope she remains civil and doesn't say anything that will make you feel that way. I don't know much about PND or depression but I'm fairly sure there are different degrees and it's not a one-size-fits-all sort of thing. Silly woman... her, not you, of course How lovely of L to stop walking to take a good look at her shoes, so cute!

Vene, hi! Are you still thinking about the shop? Cake and champagne for the grown-ups sounds fine to me

June, ((hug)) so sorry to hear about today. I think you should be proud of yourself, June. You're an amazing mum, fully devoted to C, you work full time, you take care of the house, etc. Your day is non-stop and you do it all with great dedication and love for your family. Yet, I know what you mean re. self-confidence... no matter what anyone says, if you're feeling low, then you won't be able to fully see it. Please don't let this get you down. Sorry if I'm rambling, feel free to ignore ((hug))

lauraloo09 · 14/06/2010 21:46

strawberry sorry to hear about your depression and at your MIL's comment about not being depressed as you can get out of bed in the morning...having been depressed myself I know how hard it can be at times and comments like that only make you feel worse! I hope the couselling sessions start to work...I also love Clark shoes and firmly believe that they helped S get the confidence to start walking properly xxx

ineed best of luck for the race for life on saturday and hope your DH is ok on Sunday and yey for building the bike on your own...i built S's smart-trike which was quite hard

gauchita glad you all had a lovely day with M and hope the party goes well. I'm going to make a cake for S, I can make a great sponge but not so good at the decorating part lol

allsheep glad interview went well. Poor you with the BFing must be hard, I'm much better now that S sleeps through the night but my sympathy goes out to you all who are still up thro the night been there for 10 months so knows what its like xx

june I hope you feel better soon

hello to the rest of the Juners!

lauraloo09 · 14/06/2010 21:49

june xpost with gauchita I agree with what she said re you being a wonderful mum and you have taken on so much i hope you do feel better soon xxx

venetianred · 14/06/2010 23:07

june - reaching 1 is a huge milestone. It is not surprising you had an emotional wobble. Personally, I think your body and mind does quite a shift after they reach 1 year old - you sort of go from being in a permanent state of alertness (well, that state of being when you have a baby to tend for) into something different when they are heading into toddlerhood.

It's quite extraordinary all the things that have happened to us in the past 2 years. I have fairly weird emotions at the moment but as I've been through it before, am just trying to be kind to myself etc. Re the fat thing, I struggle with my weight - I'm trying to get my head into a calm, sensible place so I can address it more successfully than worrying sick and doing dramatic dieting etc etc.

And yes, you sound like a truly wonderful mum. If motherhood were celebrated more, we would get an Olympic trophy about now. Shall we suggest that to the Conservatives?

June2009 · 15/06/2010 08:05

thanks guys, it means a lot to me.
Will be back later to read up on everybody's news etc!

OP posts:
lauraloo09 · 15/06/2010 09:11

morning guys hope where you are the sun is shining just like it is here

june hope you have a better day today

Well it's my 3 year anniversary today, but not got money to go out and it's mine and DH's karate night tonight...nothing says Happy Anniversary like beating each other up at karate lol
Somethign weird is happening to me at the moment and can't bring myself to discuss is with my rl friends. I've been on the pill again since my mc back in Feb and yesterday I started bleeding half way through my cycle. This has never happened to me before, it's like a full on period with bad stomach cramps is this normal?!

hugs and waves to everyone!!

June2009 · 15/06/2010 13:12

laura thanks for your note, my pill's information leaflet calls this "breakthrough bleeding" and it happens sometimes, especially in the first few months. Did your pill come with a leaflet?
It also says not to worry but to mention it at your next check up.

I'm feeling better, haven't cried today so far! Dh has also been telling me I'm a wonderful mum and said he would come shopping with me so I have a second opinion on clothes. (though he seems to go for deeper necklines and shorter skirts than I do!! ).

gauchita thanks for what you said, made me feel loads better.
How was your cake & party?

strawberry we saw the same shoes in Clarks, when c is more confident walking we'll have a look again. We got her some lovely red "cruising" shoes (from the boys' section, they only had pink for girls!!)
Good luck with dh's family, some people come up with garbage they don't mean sometimes just because they can't express what they think properly. If she's usually nice then she probably did not mean to be awkard.

allsheep thanks for sharing a bit about yourself. I'm 33yo, married and c is our first daughter. We live in north london, someone else here is not far from me but I can never remember who (bunny?)
We do mention a get together from time to time, I'm all for it!
We could do this beginning of September when the weather is still nice but not so hot that travelling would be uncomfortable.(?)
should we meet in a park or softplay, toddler group?? Any other suggestions welcome!

Does our list say whether our littles ones are boys or girls? Maybe we could add this for new joiners.

bigcar I hope this week is better for your daughter.

venetian thank you, we have been through a lot these past two years, finding out I was pregnant seems so far away now!! And it's just been such a non-stop rollercoaster ride since then. And you know I just need to find a pair of jeans that fits properly to cheer me up.

snow how did your nuchal go?

I haven't managed to get a father's day card for dh. I want to get him a "I love you daddy" mug as well so I need to go to the shops without him somehow. He also works from home most of the time so not easy to get away ;)

The weather is lovely in north london, c is finally sleeping after refusing to nap this morning (up since 6am!!).

June - glad you are having a better day. I remember feeling like that after I had DS. I put on 4 stone with him (I didn't go mad or anything, I think my body just likes to load on the pounds when I'm carrying). It took about a year to come off, through Slimming World and exercise. I put on about 3 stone with DD too. It's so weird how your body changes shape. Mine has changed a bit more after each pregnancy. It can really get you down. I know I see some of my skinnier friends and just feel ! Especially when it only takes them a few weeks to get back into their size 10 jeans

I run straight after I've fed DD, about 7.10pm - 7.50ish. Then I have dinner with DH. Is that a time you could run? I know you used to love it.

Braved Sainsbury's with the kids today as I forgot to put my delivery order in yesterday. Big mistake. DS is fine and quite happy fetching all the things off the shelves. DD tantrumed all the way round as I wouldn't let her play with the fast track scanner. I didn't think the terrible twos were supposed to start this early......

Gauchita · 15/06/2010 19:10

Hi all!

Venetian, happy birthday F!!! Hope he's having a lovely day!!!

Ineed, aw bless her! (Although I'm sure you didn't think it funny then) I go back and forward with online shopping, I used Tesco in the past, then wanted to try Ocado, but then I found Costco (they don't have online shopping) and their prices are too good to miss. Doing it online is so much easier, though, and you save lots of time.

June, nothing like a pair of jeans that fit well to cheer you up Glad you're feeling a bit better today. That was sweet of your DH, take him up on that one Ineed's idea of running in the evening sounds good, do you think you could find time for that? M is a bit all over the place with her naps these days too, maybe she'll drop one soon, don't know. Today she was really tired at 4 but wouldn't go down, end result = she's in bed since 6.30pm. An early start tomorrow for me, I guess

Oh, yes yes yes, let's organise a meet up!

June2009 · 15/06/2010 19:31

Happy birthday venetian's F :D hope you're having a lovely day!

ineed & gauchita Yes the plan is that I will go to the gym once baby is in bed, then eat with dh. (and then probably play badminton with dh, we've been playing in the evening at every opportunity). I found my gym card yesterday and will get measured for a good sports bra tomorrow. I think I'll try and start going again tomorrow.

I feel much more postive now thanks to you all (and dh) so thank you!
Even found a couple of dresses in my wardrobe which will do for sunday...

happy birthday to venetians F, hope you're having a lovely day

june, don't be so hard on yourself, you're doing great I'm sure you don't need reminding that you had a traumatic time with Cs birth and that's bound to have an effect on how you're feeling one year on. You have a gorgeous little girl to show for your year of hard work, that's a pretty big achievement in my book

meet up wise, would it help if we said where in London (if there suits everyone?) we could easily get too? I can do victoria, london bridge and I'm not that far from the northern line so that's fairly easy for me.

waves to all

Strawberry-June, I saw that on Saturday when M and I went out with a friend who wanted to give M a pair of shoes for her birthday. We went to Clarks first and the only colour for cruising shoes was pink with PINK I actually saw myself looking at the boys' shoes

Bigcar, Good idea! We'd be travelling from up here so any place would be OK

Am I smelling a meet-up?

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 15/06/2010 21:14

I'm in Guildford so only about 35 mins from Waterloo.... How about somewhere fairly central in London?

Who's up for a meet? We should do a list.....

chocciedooby · 15/06/2010 21:34

HI everyone. Just flying on and off but wanted to wish all those little babies a Happy 1st Birthday

Elina was 1 yesterday and it was a lovely calm day

Catch up later xx

lauraloo09 · 15/06/2010 21:41

Hiya guys just popping on to say I'm all for a meet up. I live near Glasgow and can easily hop on a train lol a wee weekend in London with S and DH sounds very tempting
