¡Hola!

Snow, awful weather here too It rained all day! Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, though, with 22 degrees Fingers crossed for that! at A attacking the cook boooks. I had to put all books hight up otherwise they perish No paid lessons this week, only driving around with DH , which most of the time feels like a paid lesson

Skies, congratulations on the new home! Hope you have internet soon!!

Laura, good to hear from you and glad to hear S is thriving

Bigcar, hi! Aww poor DS1 all excited about the pool and this weather not helping! Good luck persuading them to tidy up

Tee, hope A is doing well

Hi to all Juners!

I have my theory test tomorrow morning!! I'm off to practise the hazard part, it's the trickiest one as you have to tap at the right time.

We have our first birthday party this Sunday of my translator friend's DD. Fingers crossed for good weather.

I think June was the last one to mention our potential meet-up a couple of months ago Any plans, ladies?

Waves!!!

Gauchita · 01/06/2010 19:52

June, xpost!

Yay! Well done C! How exciting!! I imagine you two sitting on the floor and making her go back and forth endlessly Glad you enjoyed your weekend away

Gauchita · 02/06/2010 21:01

lauraloo09 · 02/06/2010 21:29

gauchita well done on passing your test

june yey for C walking they're growing up soooo quickly

snow Congratulations so happy for you think DH and I are going to start trying again after AF has finished so here's hoping I dont want to leave a big gap between S and the next baby

big hellos to rest of the juners

S is growing up so big, so much so on saturday she climbed out her cot and banged her head and was violently sick so had to take her to the sick children's hospital to get checked over...thank goodness she's ok think i was worse than she was, she just decided to play with the paediatrician (sp?)while we were there so I think it's time to get the stair gate on at the top of my stairs, can't have her falling down them. Weather not been to great here but supposed to be lovely tomorrow, fingers crossed as I'm off work until monday now.

Just wondering have you guys thought of what to buy your LO's for their first birthday? I was thinking of buying S a swing or a slide for outside but not sure will need to start buying her gifts soon and get to work on this birthday cake lol

speak to you all soon xxx

Gauchita · 03/06/2010 09:06

snowwombat · 03/06/2010 10:23

ineed happy birthday E. What a glorious day it is, hope you have a lovely day.

laura how scary for you. A is a climber too, we do lots of practice on the stairs to encourage feet first going down, but still have a stair gate too

gauchita MS comes and goes.Pretty good today. The job is ongoing but home based at the moment. A few more visits in July, hopefully Paris!

right, i've got an half an hour to sort the house before friends come for lunch. it is a tip!
Hope you all have a lovely day in this sunny weather

bigcar · 03/06/2010 13:18

ineed, huge happy birthday hugs to E hope you're all having a great time

gauchita, congrats, I'm so glad the theory test wasn't around when I was learning, it looks quite hard! Well done you

june, well done to C

snow, Paris sounds great, do you get time to yourself while there?

laura, E got a ride on train that has proved a massive hit, pic on profile. Fingers crossed for you

beautiful sunshine here, waves to all

June2009 · 03/06/2010 15:20

happy birthday E :D Ineed hope you're enjoying the day, did you plan a get together with family & friends?

gauchita congrats on your test, that's the hard part ;) Do you know what the maximum speed on the motorway is? my friend was telling me 70mph was the minimum you could go, I thought it was the maximum as well (her bf told her there was no maximum )

laura wow, what a nightmare, S climbed out of her cot! C pulled herself up in her cot yesterday for the first time so we finally lowered the mattress.

Sorry, C is up, gotta go! waves to all!

Hello all! Thanks for all E's birthday wishes. We went and had a lovely picnic in the grounds of Clandon House in Guildford. She's up from her nap now and playing with all her toys. She loves her fairy castle/boot think from ELC and all the fairies (although she's not getting to play with it much because DS is far too interested in it!)

We're having all our family over in the morning on Sat, and then a BBQ in the afternoon. I'm going to make 'whoopie' cakes for her and just pile them all up with a candle on the top. I'm not sure mine will look so good though!

Gauchita - congrats on the theory test x

Laura - we have a climber here too. She pushed DS's Tripp Trapp chair over to the dresser, climbed up it and was reaching the fruit bowl the other day.

E's no closer to walking yet. She 'cruised' for the first time today, so I'm sure it won't be long.

Anyway, I hope you're all well and enjoying the sunshine

bigcar · 03/06/2010 18:10

june, maximum speed on a UK motorway is 70mph, any more and you'll be looking at a rather large fine! Well done C on the standing

ineed, that sounds lovely, those cakes look great

waves

bigcar · 03/06/2010 18:15

here scroll to point 261 you may want to pass it onto your friend

Gauchita · 03/06/2010 20:15

Hi all!

June, yep, Bigcar's right, it's 70mph. at your friend's BF saying there's no maximum speed!

Bigcar, the theory is not so hard, it's just a matter of taking mock test after mock test but the hazard perception test is something else... you have to watch some clips and click the mouse when you see a hazard develop (and continue to click if the hazard continues to develop/change). It's not the easiest thing

Ineed, sounds like E had a lovely day Those whoopie cakes look yum! at DS being "too" interested in E's presents, bless!

Snow, oooooh Paris sounds fab! Hope you get some free time to visit a bit of the city when you go

Hi to all Juners!

Hot day up here today We went to a nice place with a lake and duckies with my translator friend and her DD. No buggyfit though

M missed her afternoon nap, ended up overtired and it took me an hour to put her down to sleep just now

I have an interpreting job tomorrow morning DH will be in charge of M, I guess he'll go for a walk with her down the city centre (it's in Leeds)

Have a lovely evening ladies!

Waves!!!

lauraloo09 · 03/06/2010 22:17

hiya all hope you all had a lovely day

Happy Birthday E

Just wanted to 'mark my place' so I can catch up tomorrow been so tired today, think everything that happened at the weekend there and with trouble in work i'm exhausted so def no ttc tonight lol my DH isn't 100% ready yet so think we'll wait a bit longer for that...anyhoo will catch up with you all tomorrow and thanks for the birthday present ideas S has a trike already was thinking about a trampoline but dunno lol x

Hi all!

Quick post from me, swamped with work atm =S

Allsheep, welcome to the thread Hope you get an earlier night tonight

Ineed, hope you had a good time at the picnic. The weather here was lovely in the morning but early afternoon it turned cloudy and now it's pouring!

Laura, hi! Hope you got some rest last night

Bigcar, hi!

Hi to all Juners!

Work today went well and suddenly I've got 3 assignments for the weekend plus another interp. on Monday!

Hope you have a lovely weekend, ladies!

Waves!

June2009 · 05/06/2010 14:06

gauchita oh no it's lovely here now, do you reckon it's coming down south?
Good luck with work, sounds busy!

allsheep argh we've been having teething problems at night as well, C wakes up screaming, I can see the two tops ones about to come through

Tee It's A's bday next :D, I saw the video of him standing up in his playpen have you caught him pulling himself up yet?
We've been videoing C walking, still very wobbly and only a few steps at a time but she has started holding on to the sofa/chair, not quite cruising yet.

For the bustier ladies out here, have you got any recommendations for (online) shops for supportive bras? I'd like to go running again but my bras are outrageously loose and ill fitting atm. I can get measured at mothercare or M&S but they usually haven't actually got bras that big (hence the need to go running!!!)
The last time I was measured was when I was pregnant so I really ought to go again.

Ineed how is your runing coming along? Was it hard at first? I used to run everyday and I am dreading my first run and seeing how unfit I have become.

laura I was going to get the trampoline from elc but decided agaisnt it. We got a wheelie bug dh wants to get a keyboard as well.

venetian posted a wicked list of ideas with links a little while back.
How is it going vene? bigcar thanks I told my mate about the speed limit and she was .

well, still lovely out there, we'd better take advantage before it starts raining!
take care juners!

Hi all,

June, we're having a bit of everything Yesterday was lovely and warm and today it's rainy and nippy Oh well... I've bought bras from figleaves.com They've offered a good service and their customer support has been very good. Oh, the first session of anything is like that, isn't it? Be it running, gym classes... it's hard to give the first step, isn't it? I started using my pilates dvd again after 3 months of procrastinating I was always thinking of how much I'd ache after the first few times and that put me right off I'm back now and it feels good to do something. I'm sure you'll feel the same after the first few runs

Off to a birthday party this afternoon. I'm trying to convince DH to go to church this morning, it's been months since we last went and he's been put off by the rain today, apparently

Waves!!!

Hi all..... had a lovely relaxing day today doing bugger all! We had a hectic day what with E's birthday party that we needed the day to recover! It was a lovely day - we had the big paddling pool out and our neices and nephews had a good splash around. E seemed to love all her presents (the ones DS would let her play with! )

DH back at work this week and I' not looking forward to it . I love having him at home. Just over 6 weeks and then he's off for Summer hols though, so I can't complain....

June - I haven't run for a week and I feel awful. Back to it tomorrow! I would recommend being properly fitted for a sports bra if you're well-endowed! I'm not particularly busty, and I still need quite a lot of support. I think Shock Absorber is a good make. I think this website is good

Hi to the rest of you.

June2009 · 07/06/2010 00:17

mrsmc how is it going?
I thought about you today as I was looking for ice lollies recipes. (I think you mentionned something on fb about recipes or food).

Weird, I thought I posted this weekend but it's not showing on here.

I just picked C. up from nursery and she was really upset, her eyes were really wet and red like she had been crying for ages. No one had given her her dummy and she was just on her own, crying her eyes out. They said "oh she just started crying"
I don't beleive them at all.
It made me so upset seeing her like that I cried all the way back home. Right now I really wish I didn't have to put her there. She's such a happy baby with us

She's fine now, and hungry so I'd better be off.
