We break up on the 1st and back on the 19th, and I'd love to come and play.

I'm still sick. I thought I was feeling better and ate some plain pasta last night. Big mistake. Spent most of the night up and down to the bathroom again. Boo!

50ft - Eek to M dropping her nap. I dread the day that S decides it's time to do that.

Nice to see you back Ronshar!

Are you going to name your tumor Star?

Stop it with the tumor talk. I would it imagine your vision loss is a combination of a worse than usual migraine and the stress you are under at the moment. Now I have caught up finally I may have to slightly agree with your GP. Sorry dont hate me.

I am watching House sky+ from when we were on holiday. So I am currently a medical genius

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/03/2010 21:29

Oh yes isn't it wonderful to have House back again ronshar . Gregory is on our names shortlist in his honour!

Eek for your friend pistachio. Hope she gets home/sorted very soon.

Pressed post too soon. Sorry to hear that you still aren't properly better aubergenie.

ronshar · 17/03/2010 21:31

Aubergenie, how long you have you been poorly?

Pistachio. That is a very scary thing to be going through. Especially as she is so far away.

ronshar · 17/03/2010 21:36

CSWS cool name.

Honeymoonmummy · 17/03/2010 21:41

Hey all, just dropping in to say hi. Does anyone know a nice campsite near St Ives?

ronshar · 17/03/2010 21:49

Is there such a thing as a nice campsite

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/03/2010 21:59

This looks like a decent place hmm .

Shall we have our next meet up there?

50ftQueenie · 17/03/2010 23:08

I always insist that any tent I stay in must have brick walls, a super king sized bed (to make sure that DH stays as far away as possible) an en-suite and room service.

Pistachio - How scary for you all.... I hope your friend is found soon.

Are you being sick Aubergenie or ? Sounds rubbish either way! Hope you're better soon. M hasn't actually managed to drop her nap, she has been trying but there is no WAY I am going to let her. That would be the sign for me to go back to work!

Star - Your GP, Ronshar and I all agree. Migraine. Not Jeff the brain tumour.

Hello CSWS....!

M has an infected toe! She cut it yesterday and I did my usual neglectful mummy routine and washed it but generally did nothing about it (it was a TINY cut). But this morning she had an elephant toe! It was all bulbous so I thought "Bugger, better get her to the GP" (a friend's Godson died from septicemia from a small cut on his leg. He was 8. This makes me paranoid about infections) She has AB cream for the cut. M hates doctors, really really hates them!

I have from the 2nd - 19th april.
What about that greenwich meet up? Or I'd be up for another Leon bluewater meet up for an excuse to stuff my face meet up with you lovely ladies!

StarExpat · 18/03/2010 09:55

About your friend, pistachio. Glad she was located. Have fun today at the class.

I'm going to try an imigran again today and see if it rids of the eye headache. Thanks for advice everyone.

Poor M I hope she is back to her normal toe soon. How frightening! Even more frightening that she's dropped her nap.

csws are you feeling hte baby move a lot now? It's coming up soon!!

50ftQueenie · 18/03/2010 10:04

Did someone mention Leon?! I LOVE Leon soooooooo much! Plus I can eat it whilst dieting. AND the new Spring menu is available from the 31st March. Greenwich in the Spring would be lovely too though.....

Star - She hasn't dropped her nap yet, I'm not letting her. She has been trying but mummy's will is stronger. Her toe looks much better this morning! Almost back to normal. Eye headache.....? Have you had an eye test recently?

Oh Pistachio what a relief. I am so glad there has been a positive ending to your friend's plight. Let's hope she gets some help and treatment now. That essay sounds fabulous. I am so I want to get started on my course. Grrrrr!

StarExpat · 18/03/2010 10:47

Leon AND Greenwich But I definitely want Leon again. As long as they have those sweet potato falafels still... oh my goodness those were heavenly..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yes, they say my eyes are fine. But it is a dull pain. That's where the headache has been. That's why i didn't think it was a migraine but now I think it's just a different sort of migraine.

KSal · 18/03/2010 12:06

Pistachio, so glad to hear your friend is in in a safe place. My DH has a close relative who had similar issues in the past (thankfully not overseas) he is fine at the moment, but i know what a terrible time they all went through.

50ft.... hope M's toe clears up. I would have taken the same attitude as you tbh... but maybe not after hearing your friend's story... very scary.

I have got the day off tomorrow to spend with Emma. We're going swimming (we normally do every sunday a.m., so this means i will get a lie in on sunday now) and then in the afternoon we are going to a soft play centre with all the NCT babies.

She turned 18 months on tuesday... bonkers. myjob - N must be next!

We had a parents evening at nursery on tuesday, and i just asked them about how they handle potty training. they said that to start her off they could just sit Emma on the potty each time they change her nappy and see hw she gets on... then if i want them to do it more often i can send her in with pull ups. This is all fine and apparently she loves it - her best friend is doing it at the same time.... my question is... am i too early? should i just leave it? there are other reasons to do it sooner rather than later, but i don't want to cause problems for emma....

my mum keeps telling me how i was clean and dry night and day by 18 months... but i was in cotton and she was desperate to not do the washing any more... plus she was a SAHM.

oh and i really want to go camping.... this weather is lovely... there's a smell in the air that makes me think of barbecues and music festivals.

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/03/2010 13:10

to you not seeing us on hols myjob.

So, meet up - 5th, 6th or 8th April if you want me there ladies. Will poss get dh too as he's unlikely to be working. Don't mind where as long as it's not hours away.

Eek for septic cuts - I've always tended to just ignore them too.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 18/03/2010 13:11

Oh which soft play KSal? You know there's one opening in your home town in a week or so don't you?

OP posts:
KSal · 18/03/2010 13:26

Yes!I have been saying for a while now that soft play in our town was severly lacking (and not particularly wanting to go to the one in stevenage on a weekend!) If they do decent cakes and coffee they'll be on to a winner.

we're actually going to DJs jungle adventure in st albans... i've never been there so any tips re parking much appreciated!
