No indeed, none of the FWs are dross.

I am normally a hard nosed person on FB and regularly trim the list, especially if people are really boring but for some reason I am dithering about whether to actually click Ignore or just not to bother answering at all. Not sure it makes much actual difference, although it does in my head, iyswim.

Also, she didn't put any sort of note on the invitation, which always makes me think 'If you really want to be friends with me, wouldn't you drop me a line?' Just upping their numbers of friends, really

One guy I had a crush on was friends with at school is on my friends list. He also had a crush on me, we just never got it together. My goodness, there was a lucky escape. ON and ON and ON and ON he bangs about himself in endless notes and comments. Too tedious.

Evening.

Ha ha Turtle, you didn't need to explain that it's you in disguise, the BLW soapbox gave you away

Waves to Springy. How are you?

Tigga congrats on getting deleted! Now is this a new competition?

Yes where is everyone? It's appalling how little effort people put into keeping this thread in the top then nowadays Come back people!

Bicnod don't worry at all, all our babies have bad days sometimes. It was still lovely to see you two, and thanks for the lunch! Glad he got some sleep and you got some rest by the sounds of it - I hope you have a good night tonight!

kingbeat23 · 28/01/2010 20:04

Helloooooooooooooo!!!

So, FB, ignore and block!!!! (is that harsh? I dont care....put a reason why you never liked her anyway so gives a flying fanjo??)

Lovely news and glad to see youre all as wonderfully fanj-tastic as usual!!

So, have been back at work and have been loving it. Dont worry all of those that are worried about it. Its great. TBH, Im glad that I only went back 3 days as with the move, I have been running around like a blue arsed hare and not to worry about the baby weight, it's all gonna come off the way im running around. I dont think i have time to sit down til march.

Have just found out housing benefit overpaid me by.................................£1700.00!! oh whoopee! and council tax by £400 so on top of all the bills I have to pay, I also have to pay that too! great...its ok though, I think i've got it covered.

So, night feeding, I dunno, I bottle feed but the way I did it was to up the food and feed during the day so hopefully the only wake ups I got was coz of Iris squashing her head at the top of the cot or summat like that! Having said that, I did have a couple of days where she woke at 5 or 3 and the only thing that would keep her quiet would be a bottle and then she could sleep again. I find with DD it is a couple of nights of night wakings and then we have a serious teeth problem and then it calms down again and then it starts all over again.

Definately bubbles in party bag btw....its not a party without 'em and what else, dunno, it all moves so fast on here it hard to catch up sometimes!!!

love ya's mwah!

p.s. TT/WFH/GOY - for me GOY is the funniest shortening for me as I am jewish, but defo to much to type in full...WFH? How's mum??

Feierabend · 28/01/2010 20:04

Gah, just saw Mumsnet latest. Why anyone would want to discuss anything with John Humphrys is beyond me.

WrigglyGiggly · 29/01/2010 08:42

oh I'm gutted that I am out at 11:30 so I will miss JH.

WrigglyGiggly · 29/01/2010 08:45

One of my favourite John Humphry's moment (category: recent) was when every newscaster was getting their knickers in a twist trying to describe how dramatic the snow fall was and how thousands of people were freezing, trapped in snowdrifts, avalanches blah blah blah.

JH opened the Today Programme with "It's been snowing." And then got on with the rest of the news.

Hi.

getOVERyourself · 29/01/2010 12:43

Hello

Waiting for UPS man to turn up with DP's birthday present. Also for Orbit to wake up so we can have lunch. Then we're going AWAY FOR THE WEEKEND!

Yay!

Where's that blinking UPS man? Can everyone think positive UPS thoughts my way please?

Feierabend · 29/01/2010 13:15

Yay. Have bought a ball pit for DD1's party and put it up in the living room. Both DDs sitting in there giggling. It's lovely.

Bicnod · 29/01/2010 13:17

Hurrah for ball pits and weekends away

Puzzle - just joined the save Kingston hospital FB group. I can't believe they are planning on closing it???

Feierabend · 29/01/2010 13:20

Have you signed the petition? I'd like to know what their reason is for wanting to close it, it's not like the mat unit and A&E have nothing to do and they serve quite a big area!

bebemoohatessnot · 29/01/2010 17:50

Bluebells for me and Moo Thank you SS

dawntigga · 29/01/2010 18:06

Anyone else totally fed up with teething. The Cub has been teething for 5 months now! I know I could have it a lot worse, he would wake up etc. but honestly I'm sick of him drooling all the time. He's had to have a bib on every day for the last 3 months.

Will feel much better in a weeks time.

ARGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!Tiggaxx

mrsgboring · 29/01/2010 19:18

Good evening and happy Friday everyone

Utility room is done!!! Massive lot of work, barely looked at MN all week (or telly) so am totally lost. I should be tidying and cleaning our disgusting house ready for visitors tomorrow but just posting to drop a line and say hello.

About a hundred years ago someone (TT?) wanted to know about washing machines. We have a Bosch Maxx too and it's brilliant - had it about 7 years now. One thing you need to know about them though (speaking as someone who's just moved one) is they are very slightly bigger in all dimensions than a standard appliance, so if you get one, check it will fit in the space. It always has with us, but in its last home, it has dug a hole in the laminate and the top trim is a bit scrunched where it caught on the underside of the unit putting it underneath.

Now I must do something about the health hazard we call home sweet home. Catch up soon.

Feierabend · 31/01/2010 12:58

You've got to love Freecycle. I have just picked up a pop up tent. We now have four of them so we're all sorted for the birthday party!

PuzzleRocks · 31/01/2010 13:51

Wow, no posts at all on Saturday.

So, anyone have an opinion on John Terry?

We just had the police on the phone politely explaining that there is bugger all they can do about DH's car being broken into. It was outside his office. The scumbags stole his sat nav (in glove box) so we now have to fork out for another.
Apparently there has been a spate round there.

kingbeat23 · 31/01/2010 14:19

Im here, DD has got an ear infection...took her to walk in centre this morning and got her on the anti biotics asap, plus with ibuprofen now sleeping it off poor little lamb...she's not too happy!

I got landed with a £1700 overpayment of housing benefit, but that should be sorted out within months....move going ahead....work still going strong, whilst waiting for the pharmacy to open in tescos I popped in and managed to talk to people about the right to work docs so got some work done too, plus my friend is a work placement advisor in our place and her daughter is ill too, so managed to sort out her placement for tomorrow as well so feel pretty acomplished if not very knackered....

WFH was it you that was having the flexi work meet?? if so how did it go, if not who was it!!

dawntigga · 31/01/2010 19:35

John Terry is an arse, she is an arse. It's nobodies business except the people involved.

Smooches to all.

Tigga - I started this

Feierabend · 31/01/2010 19:44

[ignorant] what has Ann to do with Terry? Sorry I never get round to reading the news!
