Febes - wow, hasn't this year gone fast!! Well done to your DD!! On the rare occasion that DD has a nap, she just normally ends up zonking out in whatever she is wearing and think she has only once had a little wee accident while she was at her nanna's.

Loopy - oooooo they are lovely aren't they!! I do love Zaras and i love the colours on the Indio. I would say go for it as baby wearing doesn't last forever! DD never wants to be worn anymore. I've not worn her for probably at least 2 months now, the last time being because i was just about to hoover and she HATES the hoover so was willing to come up for a bit. Before that it was months and months too. Must admit she is quite heavy now anyway. Think i might just hang on to one wrap and perhaps my ring sling. Deffo go and abuse the credit card!

Can you go to a MLU? Middle ground, home away from home?

littleoldme · 10/05/2010 10:49

Hope the scan goes well for Loopy. Consider your hand held most firmly. Into the other one I am placing a large slab of gooey chocolate cake. XXX

Loopy - Shame you lost the Indio. It is uber pretty! If you turn out to have a pink scan tomorrow, i have a lovely pink Zara that i could sell you. I think it's name is "mauve" or something but it is deffo light pink. Lovely and supportive and lightweight but DD refuses to be worn in it and just loves the Natural Mamas Girasol (which she is currently snuggled in, asleep on my back!! ) as it more blue and she has a thing for blue lol. Think it's a size 6. You deffo have first dibs for the Bamberoo, dont worry. Not sure about flogging it just yet as DP likes to wear DD in it on the rare occasion he feels brave enough to try if i am out and she is being a PITA. Will come to you first tho when i decide to part with it. I know what you mean about carrying them when they're heavy tho. HAving said that, she only seems to feel really heavy when i'm carrying her on my hip up the stairs. She is asleep on my back now and doesn't feel as heavy as i thought she would, so i'm quite happy to try and squeeze out some more babywearing..... I'm not surprised you are still wearing DD3 with all the walking you are doing! You must be uber fit and slim!!

Big hand holdings and lashings of choc cake here too. Was also going to suggest a MLU. Glad you spoke to your (slightly unsympathetic) MW. Perhaps getting the consultant's appointment moved forward would be a good thing. The last thing you want to do is to spent your entire pg worrying about the birth! Good luck with the scan tomorrow.

LOM - OMG!! The kettle??!!!! shiiiiiiit!!! You'll have to find a new place for it now i reckon or leave the plug out permanently so he cant boil it!! (unless he knows to plug in appliances and switch them on....).

Loopy I hope you are ok and coming to terms with what has happened. Poor you being on your own. I hope you are having lots of rest and chocolate.

Well DD has done really well all wees in the potty but poo still in pants. Hopefully she will get there soon. I bagged and chucked the pants as they were beyond gross. I left her in pants for her nap but she wet the bed so I think I'll leave her in pull ups for nap for now.

Hope you get the poos in pants sorted soon! DD luckily only did a couple of those and the pants were straight in a nappy sack and in the bin! So far i have been extremely lucky with DD and potty training. It took her 4 days to crack it and will now wee and poo in any toilet anywhere, so long as we use her potette as a toilet seat. Clever girl

DD is MAJORLY clingy at the moment - it's doing my head in! I ended up not going to the gym on Monday morning because she was being very clingy and i knew she would kick off at the creche. Yesterday was nursery day and she was crying even before we left the house and saying constantly "Mummy cuddle, mummy cuddle, mummy cuddle" (x 1,000). By the time we got to nursery (about 5 mins walk for an adult) she was hysterical and coughing and wretching. She went willingly to "mrs king" so i just legged it quickly but OMG, i ended up in tears by the time i got home. I felt like such a shit mummy for leaving her so distressed. She ended up falling asleep in the book corner! It's a shame that nursery is in the afternoons because that is her worst time for doing stuff as she's so tired by then. Cannot wait for January when she can go to mornings - she might actually enjoy it! Having said that, she always whinges about going to the creche (cue more "mummy cuddle" and a good few crocodile tears for good measure) and she's been going at least twice a week for a year now! I sent DP up the shop today for some wine and she said she wanted to go but when it came to it, she got hysterical and wanted no one but me!!!

I took her to the dentist on Tuesday morning and he said something like "upper pink bulge" so perhaps she is teething again....

Sorry for the waffle - just need to vent.

Had a much better day with DD today. When i got to MIL's she was quite clingy but thankfully MIL managed to win her round with a new Shaun the Sheep DVD lol. She was much better with DP tonight too and as she'd managed to fall asleep on MIL's sofa this afternoon, she was a really really happy girl tonight when i got home from work. She was a real joy! She even went to bed with almost no fuss, thanx to a) her magic powder (a one-off dose of Ashtons lol) and b) me telling her that i was going downstairs and she was going to sleep. She promptly closed her eyes and i haven't heard a peep since, bless her!

Hope everyone is ok today. How are you feeling Loopy?

Loopy Hope you are feeling ok considerably. Surround yourself with your beautiful DDs today.
LOL at DD3 saying hospital. A says 'Penelope' and its so cute all tongue rolling and it goes on forever .

Am very proud of A we were out and about yesterday and she told me when she needed a wee and then went on the loo. She hadn't done that at home before so I was impressed. STILL getting poos in pants though bleurgh. I need to go and get some more knickers as I've thrown away loads of them . I might try a reward chart for poos in potty. She didn't want to wear a nappy for her nap again yesterday so I though I'd give her a chance as she'd been so good all day but she weed in the bed again so I'll be insisting on a nappy today.

DS is 1 tomorrow so I'll be baking a cake later. I put him in proper shoes today as he has grown out of his soft pitter patter ones but he didn't like them and was trying to shake them off .

Just found out DH owes 5k in tax from a few years ago so there goes our summer holiday and any treats until that is sorted. The worst thing is he has known for 2 months and didn't tell me as he was 'handling' it.

Loopy - Hope you are managing to get some rest. I'm sure your DDs will be providing you with lots of cuddles.

Febes - I won't even tell what i'd do if DH did that. I hope you manage to sort it out.
Oh and happy birthday to DS .That came round a bit quickly !

My SPD kicked in with alarming severity about a week ago. After three episodes of not being able walk, I went to the Osteopath yesterday who worked some sort of weird manipulation magic and things are feeling much better.

We're off on hold next week so are watching the ash cloud closely. We've decided if there's any messing around at all we're buggering of to the inlaws caravan on Anglesey instead. Mmmm

Happy Sunday everyone.

We should be going to the north of Mallorca. I'm looking forward to being there but not to going ikwim. With the house move coming up it kind of just feels like another thing to do - I know that sounds very grumpy.

I'm really looking forward to the sunshine and beaches and lots of snorkelling. I know what you mean about Anglesey; the tourist boardsshould use that as there new advertising slogan -Come to Anglesey. It's nice, but not nice as lots of other places.

Sounds like you are are pretty stacked up in the hols dept. Do Granny and Bumper live anywhere exotic ?
