Glad you are getting a rest Loopy. Just been to see the midwife who found the baby's heartbeat. It seems I really am having a baby !

LOM - Congratulations! All these babies - so exciting! Loopy - hope you're enjoying a very well-earned break!

Greedy, RG and febes - hope you're all well too

Our computer died a couple of weekes ago and we had to have a new hard drive installed and all our files are all over the place, have to find a spare week putting everything back in the right place, but at least we've not lost anything.

It's Easter break at last and we're looking forwards to the 2 weeks off and the chocolate

Greedygirl · 05/04/2010 21:17

Hi everyone

I am really genuinely excited about these new babies! It must be lovely being preggers again (lots of sighing going on here but don't think that stubborn husband of mine is going to budge - arghh! But I am refusing to sell anything and hoping he will see the light in a few years time). Glad you are both feeling not so sick, and glad you are getting a day to yourself Loopy - what on earth will you do?! Sleep?

LOM, fingers crossed re the house. It is such a lovely family home with a lovely garden that I am sure you will have no probs.

Jet - Easter break came at just the right time didn't it?!

We just got back from sunny Spain with friendships intact. A few tense moments (mostly kid/stress related) but lots of laughter and blissful moments on the beach made up for those. We took turns to babysit and I had a lovely night out with my DH.

Adam has always been lively but at the mo is just exhausting. He literally never stops! I took him on an Easter egg hunt at the local park and he ran around continually for the best part of two hours and was still going strong at bedtime. We are pooped! Anyone else noticed a sudden acceleration in energy?

littleoldme · 06/04/2010 08:38

Happy Easter all.
We've had a quiet one, mostly decorating the house to get in ready for sale. We've caught up witha few mates and generally had quite a relaxed time. I've been feeling very sick again. This has coincided with t having 3 hour naps due to a growth spurt so i too have been catching up on some serious sleeping.

Greedy - gald the hol panned out well. I know you weren't quite sure about it. I lookforward to hearing all about it.

Jet - glad to hear your computer has been fixed. Hope the hols and chocs are living up to expectation.

Loopy - so, how was the child free time. have you done a Shirley Valentine ?

Big hugs and massive chocolate cakes to you LOM.

Am lurking on here at the moment as there is nothing too exicting to say really!!

We're off to see Show Me Show Me live on Thursday next week. Not sure how they will do it and what they will do exactly but hopefully DD will love it.

Potty training commences next Saturday as i have the following week off work. I'm quite nervous about it but excited too. I really hope she doesn't do too many squelchy/runny poos on the carpet!! It's bad enough clearing up mice guts and cat vomit, let alone baby poo!!!

Hope everyone else is well!

Cheers girls. The cake was much appreciated.

Loopy - My sister is currently seeing the specialist bods about having the same thing done. Not something I'm even going to think about at the mo.
Sounds like your few days off were blissful. how you feeling.

Our house is on the market at last. Exciting and a little scary.

jetgirl · 14/04/2010 12:47

LOM - lots of virtual chocolate cake coming your way and hugs too x

Loopy - sounds like you've enjoyed your well-earned break, would love one of those at the mom. William also insists on choosing his own clothes each day now, down to his socks! yesterday he went to bed in his yellow socks as I couldn't get them off his feet. Fortunately, he was happy to wear his car socks to nursery today! DD and I are off to a friend's house this afternoon, DD can play with her friend, and I can eat cake with mine

GR - hope the 'show me show me' show is good fun. I have to confess I always join in when they do the dancing bit and then freeze Good luck with the potty training!

It's SIL's wedding tomorrow, William has a gorgeous outfit from Monsoon boys, DD is a bridesmaid also in Monsoon, and my chosen outfit is Monsoon too - honestly, they should be paying me! We're crossing our fingers for dry weather and maybe a bit of sunshine - I have bought an umbrella too and am hoping not to use it!

Hi all

LOM - massive hugs and some more cake from me. Rubbish news and I don't blame you for now wanting to think about it at the moment.
x

RGPargy · 17/04/2010 00:19

Loopy - Your couple of days sounds lovely!! Except swap Friends for Lost and i'd be in heaven!! I've also got a massive stash of winter/summer clothes to sort out. Not mine, but DD's and i'm not too sure whether to freecycle them or to attempt to sell them on eBay (or on here!). Will go out and buy more knickers tomorrow!

LOM - exciting news about your house! Hope you get some interest in it soon!

Jet - I have once or twice let DD chose what she wants to wear, i.e. me picking something and DD saying "NO!", but she turned down every single thing i got out for her (which was everything in the wardrobe!) so now i dont give her the option of choosing lol. She does get a choice of which of her 10,000 dummies she wants to take out tho - although she's only allowed to take one dummy out at a time - the rest MUST stay indoors. What a mean mummy! How was the wedding?

Show Me Show Me was actually quite good. it wasn't strictly called Show Me Show Me tho, due to copyright i think, but was called "Show Me - Chris and Pui". They mainly sang songs and did silly rhymes and got the kids to join in etc. DD enjoyed waving and clapping her hands at the appropriate places and was surprisingly good throughout the show. She sobbed her heart out when it finished but i think it was mainly overwhelmness and tiredness mixed together.

My friend's DD is now dry and it only took a few days so i am hoping Ellie will be just as responsive. When my friend told me she was potty training, i thought she would have hassle as she didn't sound ready but i have been proved very wrong!

Glad DD1 has improved now Loopy. How long have you been training DD3? We are only on day 2 of potty training here and already i am hoping that DD will "get it" sooner rather than later lol. My friend's DD took a year to poo in the toilet properly and apparently the only time she misses now is if she's ill or something.

lol Loopy! Wanna buy an unused (but inflated and filled) birthing pool?? I thought my pg was long enough so i do sympathise with the waiting. Tick tock tick tock tick tock!!

SparklyGothKat · 18/04/2010 22:10

Just seen this in active convo and thought I would pop in and say Hi!!

Callum is at preschool now and he loves it He still doesn't sleep through the night we have tried CC and although he settles down by himself in his bed he wakes and SCREAMS the house down...

He does make me laugh though and his speech is getting good especially 'Why??'

We are waiting till summer to potty train, although I did buy pants today

Wowsers, busy indeed!

All is well here. Potty training is going very well with only an average of one accident per day. Today was a brown accident of the "i need a poopoo!" kind but alas she had already started lol. This is the first poo accident we've had since we started on Saturday so it's not too bad.

She has however developed a little problem with bathing. When it's bath time, she insists that she needs a wee and will sit there for up to half an hour on the potty because she thinks she needs a wee. I dont think she does and think it's because she just keeps fiddling with herself, which maybe brings on the sensation?? The only way i can get her into the bath now is to put the potty in the bath too and she has a bath sitting on it!! Her poor little bum has permanent ring marks from sitting on a potty/loo seat so much lol.

She also said she wanted the potty 4 times today while we were at the front door just about to do a quick tip trip. I even got as far as buckling her up into her car seat and was just about to start the engine when she said "mummy, i need a wee wee!". Then came her saying the same thing 3 more times by the front door and in the end i gave up and we didn't bother going out. Wrong, i know, but i had had enough of sitting around waiting for her to do nothing by this stage!

I'm assuming this is all normal-ish type behaviour and that she is just finding her confidence of life without nappies?? Bless her she's soooo proud of herself when she does business on the potty or loo!!

DD starts pre-school on Tuesday and i think she will love it! I'm looking forward to her going 2 mornings a week in a couple of weeks so that i dont have to put her in the gym's creche!

SGK - Glad that DS is enjoying pre-school. Sorry that he's still not sleeping through tho - you must be absolutely shattered!

LOM - great news re the house! That's fab!! Ours is now off the market and we are staying put for the next couple of years as it just wouldn't be financially viable for us to move right now. Shame, as i hate this house lol.

Loopy - good idea re the garden and the birth pool. I had thought of doing it but DD will be far too small to jump in and out for a few years yet so i may as well sell it so that at least it gets some use!
