Hi everyone - am knackered after first full days back at work - 22 new learners! Gorgeous though.

We are going to La Grange du Moulin in France, never been to France as a family so will be different but we are really looking forward to it. We are going to drive so we can take our bikes.

Off to make a cuppa. No chocolate in the house - how did that state of affairs occur?!

Survived the first day - and year 9 have signed their behaviour contract, due for review in 3 weeks!

Greedy - looks lovely, I'm very impressed at your organisation in booking a holiday this far in advance. Shame on you for having no chocolate in the house Grin. If I think I have run out I raid the kids' stashes (they don't what they have in there half the time and I figure I'm preventing childhood obesity Wink)

Greedygirl · 09/09/2010 19:43

Loopy - we thought it was reasonable especially compared to the Eurocamp prices which we quite fancied doing. But it does say on the site that it is basically in the middle of nowhere and the gites are not luxury. We'll cope!

Jetgirl - yes my tutor group have done a group contract and everything is lovely and nicey nice at the mo but I am just waiting for the bitching to start! And BTW we have never, ever been this organised with a hol, not sure what has got into me. DH has just said he has choc for tonight hurrah! Cannot keep a stash cos I would just eat it all the time. Have been snaffling the students' "prizes" this week.

Got a new hair do today, got a bit of a red tinge! DH is disappointed I have not been more daring.

Hi everyone! :o

Finally have a quiet moment (at work!) to sit and catch up on what you've all been up to!

Loopy - Well?? Have you done any more tests yet? Keeping everything crossed for you! :o Hope DD3 improves for you soon. It's so tiring when they dont sleep isn't it. DD has completely lost her daytime nap now and only ever naps during the day by accident so it's pretty rare that I get to put my feet up for an hour during the day, unless of course i'm either at work Wink or DD is at Nursery.

LOM - How scarey re Tom and locking him in the car and then his great acrobatic stunt that landed him on his head!! Hope he is well on the mend now :)

Febes - How scarey for your family!! I would hate to be in that sort of situation - I'd go to bits!!

Greedy - Your holiday sounds fab!! I'm sure you'll have a fab time! My DF and his wife do the driving to France for holidays thing quite a bit. He loves it there :)

Well my trip to Spain was quite enjoyable! The weather was v. hot with temperatures on average around 34 degrees daily. The coolest it got to was 28 degrees and that was at 2am! It was lovely to see my mum again after so long and it was nice to spend a bit of time with my DSIS too, although it is so apparent that we are completely cut from totally different cloths!! You'd never know we are related as we dont even look alike and our views on life are completely different too. Hmm I missed Ellie enormously while I was away but it was lovely to not have a little person to worry about, I have to admit.

DD didn't seem to miss me tooooo much because she was kept busy at Nannas with daddy. Having said that, when i dropped her off at MIL's yesterday she was fine all day until MIL told her that daddy would be picking her up (as is the norm) and she started crying saying she wanted me to pick her up. I think she thought i was swanning off again and she wouldn't see me for a few days again, bless her :( Makes me a bit Hmm about going away for my fitness weekender in October now. I'll only be away for 2 nights but still....... Confused

Greedygirl · 12/09/2010 20:17

Yes please! That is a bit mean acually as I have just realised once again - no good stuff in the house to go with a cuppa!

jetgirl · 12/09/2010 20:43

I would love to send you all some - partly so I won't gorge on it! If we ever all meet in rl I'll bring the cakes Wink
I have a question. Do you think it woud be weird to offer to make my friend's wedding cake as her wedding present? It's not until next December so I have plenty of time to practise!
Loving the Will Smith season on channel 5 atm. Makes the ironing almost bearable Grin

littleoldme · 12/09/2010 21:51

I think it would be a really thoughtful thing to offer. The practising will be fun too.

Would you mind sharinh the millionares'sb recipe ? Really fancy making some now.

loopy funny you should say that, she is one of the most down-to-earth people I know and said she got worried she was getting bridezilla when saying to her fiance that they shouldn't dither on sorting the venue. IMO that's normal, not bridezilla. I'll tell her she's welcome to turn me down too!

lom will type up the recipe when I'm at the pc later today (takes hours on my phone!)
