Loopy - I had one of those years ago, didn't realise it at the time, but after reading about chemical pregnancies it made sense as that period was quite different to any others I had. Sad for you and keeping fingers crossed that you get your BFP soon.

DD was 5 yesterday, can't quite believe that I'm the mother of a 5 year old! She's got a friend round to play today and I think she's enjoying playing with someone her own age rather than William. He is particularly annoying to her at the moment because he puts so many of her toys in his mouth. It's like having a 1 year old again! Anyone else's DC doing this> DD certainly didn't, but then she's a sensible girl - haha!! On the posit6ive side he has been much more accepting of his potty lately, asking for it and saying he needs to poo. He gets bored on it though, then poos 5 mins later when he's got a nappy on. Nevermind, we are getting there, albeit slowly.

IIRC it's best to test in the morning when hcg levels are highet, that's wht it said in my Miriam stoppard book anyhow! On the positive side, which is I guess what you want, the spotting coud be implntation bleeding, and from personal experience I bled with Dd when 12 weeks pg, doc said it was cervical erosion. Sending ots of positivr vibes your way loopy.

I say 4 more tests...Grin

Greedygirl · 28/08/2010 22:00

As many as you like! Fingers crossed Loopy.

I too am sad that prob not having anymore but doesn't mean I feel resentful at others for having more (as if that would help anyway!) - just get annoyed at DH for being so stubborn! But am adjusting expectations and have decided still may in with a chance in a couple of years if I could get better paying job and build up maternity rights again to squash his arguments about finances!

Anyone watch Gok the other night? Was a lovely one about a mum and how she felt about herself after having a baby.

My face looks like this Shock quite a bit at the mo as Adam has become so reasonable and amiable "OK!" is his new fave word! Ha - we will see how long it lasts.

Jetgirl - did you DD enjoy her bday? Isn't it scary how quickly time is flying?! My friends little boy was about 2 when I first met her and he is starting school this year and I keep thinking, that'll be Adam before I know it. Adam doesn't put things in his mouth but is showing worrying signs of wanting to put things up his nose and in his ears. And he still doesn't "get" the potty but loves all the no nappy time I am giving him as it gives him full access to his bits! Honestly, men.

Keeping everything crossed for you loopy.

We have 2 new additions to the jet household. 2 dwarf lops called Coco (DD's) and Titan (DH's). They are such cute bunnies. DD wrote them a note saying 'i love you bunny's' - yes, she threw in a frivolous apostrophe instead of ies, but I'll forgive that! William is a little nervous around them but insisted on saying goodnight to them before going to bed.
I finished a set of resources this evening so I feel I've achieved today. More to do tomorrow though, grrr.

Loopy, they are gorgeous! DD is being very good about helping clean the hutch etc I just hope the novelty doesn't wear off!
William is dropping his nap too and consequently having tantrums around teatime usually because I'm not serving up bowls of chocolate which he wants! Today he did dig into his sweetcorn cob with great gusto though. Massive strop at bedtime resulted in him throwing a mr men book at my face Shock

I know what you mean. The more relaxed days have been fun and I feel like I've got tp know DD better as we've spent so much time together. So I don't really want to go back to work now either!
DD wet her bed last night and William was asleep in ours. He woke up while I was comforting her and screamed at me to go and cuddle him. 'Come here and give me a cuddle' ! I've never seen him so wound up Sad He wouldn't come and find me, wouldn't share me with DD and in the end all 3 of us fell asleep in our bed! DH came up and put the 2 of them back in their beds where thry then slept till morning. Phew!

Hi ladies

Just bookmarking. Will catch up later. :o

littleoldme · 03/09/2010 19:09

Jet - congrats on the bunnies. Dwarves are gorgeous. Hope you had a better night's sleep last night.

Loopy - Everything is crossed for you. Do keep us posted.
Sounds like the tantruns have been a nightmare. T has the odd one and that's bad enough but two tantruming kids... guess I'll find out.

Well we've a busy couple of days. On Weds I managed to lock Tom and all my keys in the car. Fortunately he was strapped in his seat so couldn't do anything dangerous. By the time DH got home from work with the spare keys poor old T was very hot and cross.

Then yesterday he fell backwards off a dining chair and got a lovely inch long gash on his head. There was LOTS of blood and the cut was right down to the scalp. Poor lamb. We got home from casualty at 12.30 in the morning. I'm still feelinga tad traumatised.

We seem to have got through today without disaster.

LOM not mine, but I think febes' family are in NZ. We're all in UK (apart from an aunt in California and my sis in Sydney). You must have had such a fright with T. I hope you and he are better now. Lots of cuddles and ice-cream for both of you I think!

febes hope your family are all ok. Lots of love from me too x

Loopy DD and I are currently doing a sewing project together before term starts on Monday. I went in to work this am to sort my room out!

Yes everyone is ok but shaken and a bit freaked out. My mums place has lots of broken vases, bottles of preserves and things from the walls etc. There have been lots of after shocks so they didn't have much sleep last night but glad they are all ok.
We leave the uk a week on monday!!! Off to SA first then to NZ in december. Hope all the quakes have finished by then. We have lots of small ones but I've never been in a big one like yesterdays.

Loopy Hows the testing going? Are you or aren't you? Fingers and toes crossed for you.

Glad everyone in your family OK Febes - how frightening! What are you going to do in SA?

LOM - I hope poor T is over his trauma. I have only been to A & E with Adam once (touch wood) and I was grateful to everyone there but couldn't wait to get back home again! Knackering.

Loopy - fingers and toes crossed.

Wonder if RG is back from Spain yet?

Well we have just booked our hol to France next year! Very excited. Have had a lovely summer pottering around in England with Adam but would like some more sunshine and wine next year!

jetgirl · 06/09/2010 20:54

Loopy how was the first day of term? It's mine and DD's tomorrow. I have a full teaching day so I am not hugely excited tbh, I wouldn't mind a non-contact so I can catch up with people! Plus I have the year 9 class from hell. Triple year 11 Latin should be fun though.

greedy France will be lovely. Whereabouts are you going? I am secretly saving for a trip to visit my aunt in California, DH hates flying though so I haven't told him yet Grin

febes pleased to hear that. Hope you've had a good journey to SA.

lom how's T doing?

I'm waiting for my chinese takeaway, DH is treating me as it's my last day of holiday, that and he said he didn't want pasta which is what I had planned for tea!

littleoldme · 06/09/2010 21:50

T very much on the mends ta. he keeps telling ewvryone he's, "A bit poor;y at the moment, I got a bump." And occasionally falls on the floor in a dramtic re-enactment of the event.

Jet - Hope tomorrow goes ok. Back to school after the Summer was always a shocker. Put some sweets in your desk as a post Yr9 reward.
A few years ago I had a terrible Yr11 group who I saw on Weds, thurs and Fri. On Fri I'd take great delight in saying to them , " See you next Tuesday everyone" They never got it. Funny what gets you through.

Febes - Blimey, had quite registered you are going so soon. Exciting times.

Loopy - Everything crossed for you.
