Hey everyone!

blotted any news vis-a-vie the 90-day period at your work? Re the pelvic pains I still get some awful, crippling stabbing pains and have to remember to still do my exercises and take care to move properly. I do this all the time of course . Seems to have left my back a bit knacked too.

momi ummmmmmmmm turkey sandwiches??? I hate turkey and refuse to cook it so I'm no help

S is doing the backwards shuffle at the mo and rolls but is thankfully no more mobile than that. Love the pincer grip momi, it's so cute. S has just progressed beyond 'beckoning spoon/mitten hand' to openening her fingers to grab things, Usually food. She screams with rage if she's not given food with everyone else.

Talking of food for her, I seem to recall proper mums (can't remember which of youse it was) talking about carefully not salting food for lo's. S had some of my fried rice tonight. Which was liberally dosed with soy sauce. Am I a very bad mummy?

I made a proper wood fire at 11 am and it's still burning and crackling away. .

Wine calling me, back shortly....

FiByTheSea · 29/11/2009 22:28

hiya trumpy yum at fried rice... & the odd bit here and there of salt is ok as far as i'm concerned... i'm just trying to limit it as much as pos until g's older... as it's hidden in so many things isn't it? your wood fire sounds very cosy you're obviously a master fire builder with it still going since 11am

Trumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 29/11/2009 22:28

I knew, I just bloody knew that would post twice.

FiByTheSea · 29/11/2009 22:29

lol trumpy i'm seeing double... how strong is that vino you've got?

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 29/11/2009 22:35

Gawd, one small glass of weedy pink and I'm hammering the old keys

Evening fi how are you and yours??

FiByTheSea · 29/11/2009 22:37

all asleep bar me!

FiByTheSea · 29/11/2009 22:38

planning to try and go to bed for just after 11pm though in case ds decides to do another 5.30am start!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 29/11/2009 22:48

Man it's 11.45 I should head to bed. I had random waking at 4am (S was asleep but had already woken twice ) for a couple of hours.

I really wish she'd sleep more than 2 hours at a time and I really wish she'd sleep more than 2 hours in total during the day.

She's a very busy girl.....

C'mon Grumps off to bed.

Night all

FiByTheSea · 29/11/2009 22:52

night night x i'm heading off to after i've finished planting my cabbages and dream fed g xoxox

Momino · 30/11/2009 09:32

morning.
grumps, at 'proper' mums. Harper had 2 pieces of pizza at a birthday party yesterday which must've had loads of salt. i think as long as you don't give her soya sauce-doused, monosodium glutamate-glazed rice in large amounts on a regular basis she'll be fine.

Fi, how was your night? did DS wake early?

dd1 got up at 3am for a wee but that was the highlight of the night. she's nearly 4 and still in pull ups at night. She's usually dry in the mornings and now waking up in the night to go to the loo. I've asked her to skip the pull-ups but she's refused. I figure best not to force until she's ok with going without them... right?

speaking of dd1, she's now having a meltdown (very loud one) because dd2 isn't playing with her. i'm ignoring her but high-pitched screasms are going to my head. ouch.

hope you all have a good day. may be on later.

FiByTheSea · 30/11/2009 09:45

morning momino yes ds was awake really early.. about 5ish when dh got up for work. G woke up after her dream feed and didn't go back to sleep until about 00.30am so by the time 5came G was too tired to drag myself out of bed.. G lay in bed listening to him playing in his room then the next thing i knew it was 7.30am and G was awake but DS asleep! I left it till last gasp to get him up fed and dressed for pre school. so not too bad a night after all.. my voice is still barry white but also disappearing more

FiByTheSea · 30/11/2009 09:47

stupid predictive text.. some of those G's are supposed to be I's..

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 30/11/2009 10:01

Morning barry and momi and everyone else

I'll have you know I cooked the rice so no MSG was involved (more's the pity)

Well both girls are off school today and I feel pretty ropey myself.

I hope the weather isn't too bad for everyone - windy and cold here, got my fire going but may have to fetch more logs in soon (logpile is full of truly HUGE spiders and I get pathetically whimpery and scared ).

So, what's everyone doing today?

HeadlessLadyH · 30/11/2009 10:23

Ey up ladies,

Reasonable night here. Only up once at 3am for a small bottle and then both DSs slept till 7.15am. I was woken by DS1 telling me that R was smelly and that I needed to change his nappy.

grumpy can I come and sit by your fire for a bit. That sounds lovely and no wonder you were up late with your fire and red wine!

fi glad Barry is on his way out.

Well today holds popping over to a mates house. She has a 13 week old so lots of baby chat I expect, then to pilates, and the rest of the day will be spent trying to avoid the biscuits that have arrived in our tin. Have decided to do the miracle diet again this week but I have already fallen this morning with the cookies. Grrrrr.

MNing today, grumps. what else is there to do ?

just stuck BF again. have managed to get dd1&2 ready and, as soon as H finished, we're off to town on a quest to buy....

to buy nappies.
sigh.
realised dd2 is on her last one so hoping she holds off on the Big Poo until then.

what an exciting life we lead.
sigh again.

i may make the trip slightly more exciting by adding an advent calendar to the shopping list.

FiByTheSea · 30/11/2009 10:31

grumpy i'll hold your hand to go to the wood pile.. we can scream together

i'm currently about to type up and dtp the crochet xmas stocking i designed and made for DS last year.. dh coming home early pm as he's still feeling rough so apart from picking up DS from pre school at 12 i've got a pretty easy day.. how about you?

pulacracker · 30/11/2009 10:45

Morning all, not venturing far today (ie not venturing far from sofa) as S is still full of cold.

I have set up a discussion in the FB group about meeting up in York in Jan. Looking forward to seeing Momino, grumpy and reggiee and others then

runningmonkey · 30/11/2009 11:26

Morning all, brrrrr its cold. Just ventured out to baby clinic to weigh A (first time in 8 weeks, supposed to have been going every two ) but needn't have bothered really she is right where she is supposed to be.

grumps your log fire sounds lovely and cosy. Its the one thing I'd love to add to our house but we don't have a chimney!

Momi have fun on your shopping trip. Your Thanksgiving dinner sounded yummy.

blotted sorry to hear you are in pain. My lower back is giving me problems at the moment so you have my sympathies.

pula hope S gets better soon.

Also hope those with colds and other assorted illnesses are feeling ok today.

Am thinking I might pop out to do some crimbo shopping later, or I might just do as much as I can online

Am going to put the crimbo tree and decs up tomorrow, I love fairy lights so have to be restrained from putting the tree up any earlier. In fact DH has to restrain me from decorating the house with fairy lights all year round

Loobylou36 · 30/11/2009 12:12

hi

bookmarking

I bet I've missed lots

no way I'll be able to read through all those posts

hope everyone with poorly little ones are all on the mend, M is much better on her 6th day with inhaler and antibiotics

Loobylou36 · 30/11/2009 12:21

Have just spent the morning painting terracotta pots for xmas pressies for nannies (pale yellow and terracotta with Matilda's footprints round them) Matilda was very helpful - she kept giggling when I painted her feet

Have put on one coat of varnish so just one more coat and then to plant them up - I've bought some florist cellophane to wrap them up posh. Just hope they like them

Is it too early to put M in her reindeer babygro? Not something I'd usually buy but we found it in the oxfam shop on Saturday for 99p! Thought it might cheer the old ladies up when we visit my mum in hospital later

Loobylou36 · 30/11/2009 12:22

running I'm with you on the fairy lights - love 'em

pulacracker · 30/11/2009 14:22

Afternoon ladies,

Well my Ugg boots from ebay have arrived. Good news is they look genuine (and very nice too). Bad news is they don't quite fit . I tried some on in John Lewis to work out my size, but these aren't quite right.

Anyway, if anyone would like some sheepskin Chestnut Classic Short Uggs Size US 8 (UK 6/6.5) then I will happily sell them on for what i paid for them (£60 incl P&P). Otherwise I will put them on ebay later this week. I am usually a size 7, but the 7s in JL were way too big so i thought the 6s would be fine.

pulacracker · 30/11/2009 14:38

On closer inspection (using the ebay fakes guide), i think they are fakes, but very good ones. It's the fact they are too small when i know they should come up big and that they fitted in JL. I will therefore be trying to return them or else raise as a fake in the ebay resolution centre.

Momino · 30/11/2009 15:37

pula, about the Uggs, hope you get a smooth return.

running, I love fairy lights as well. we haven't taken down the ones in our lounge from last year but I think they make our room look pretty so put them on whenever I think of it.

looby, brilliant idea about the terra cotta pots. where did you buy them? nannies will love them.

just sitting down, we're an hour later for our naps/dinner since going into town took awhile. couldn't find an advent calendar... have shops taken them down from the shelves already? it starts tomorrow. i'll have DH check the supermarket on his way home.

ok, have to make use of my time tidying up. pula, thanks for the FB meet up thread. I'll go visit it now.

pulacracker · 30/11/2009 16:25

Momino- mmm, might not be a very smooth return. I sent an email to the seller, saying there are a number of reasons to suggest these are fakes (based on the ebay fake spotting guide), and if he will not consider a full refund, then i will have no other option but to raise it with the resolution centre. I got the following reply from him "what who are you to tell me my boots are fakes" . Oh well, i'm ready for a battle, and if ebay prove they are real, then i will be able to sell them on myself, but atm i am not confident enough to do that.
