saw your status on fb suiledon . How is she doing now? DS1 has had a few bad dos with asthma over the years, but thankfully has stopped short of needing hospital.

She is ok but getting weaker everytime it happens as she is never a good eater and it destroys what little appetite she has.

Keeps getting chest infections so taking loads of anti biotics which doesn't help in the long run.

Having a nightmare, Becca was poorly Sat temp would not come down, 39.9 at highest 38.8 at lowest. Saw doc who said viral, awful night sat night but thankfully temp then started to drop and she seems better. BUT now DD1 poorly, just took temp 40.0, so am assuming same virus. She is stripped off and opened windows for her. Got Becca's hip scan later, need to find someone to look after DD1.

Washing machine broke yest. Wish we had not booked that late deal to Butlins on Weds. Need everyone well or we have wasted £200! Especially with the washer breaking

I have spent this weekend at Centre Parcs Whinfell forest for my Friends 30th, we had a fantastic weekend. Missed the boys like mad though. Glad to be home

Hana, congrats on the jeans but re DH discussions. I also don't understand how I ended up as the main dogsbody round here, in 2009! I've been thinking this morning that in 1999 I went round Central America with a mate for a month, now I mostly just put the bins out and cook and wash up and earn a wage and and and... I want to get on a rickety bus in a country where the mosquitoes are bigger than cats and the man opposite has a huge crate of chickens on his knee and the next rest stop is in the middle of a rainforest! Ladybuzz, I am getting Finbo that tricycle that you take bits off as they get older. You know, the one with a handle for mum to push, and a sunshade, and side impact bars and a cupholder etc. Dunno where I'm going to keep it or when he'll use it in the winter but hey.

I had 6 fags on Saturday night. But I also had sushi and wore killer heels and leopard print tights, so either it all balances out or I am a cheap hussy who is no better than she should be.

Okay, I am having such a shite time with the coil. I phoned the doc this morning to see if I could get in any earlier but I can't so my choices are: a) wait til the 2nd November to have it removed b) remove it myself - no way, obv, but I swear I saw a MN thread with a woman who had done just that [puke emoticon] c) go to the city centre family planning/methadone clinic where I got it inserted in Feb with Fin and sit around for 4 hours like last time. I'm going to wait it out.

But it hurts and (way TMI alert) I have "too much" discharge and I now have the ick factor in my head about the whole copper-wire-in-the-innards business...

Anyone know a good mini-pill? Seriously? I was wondering about Yasmin, but I hear such stories.

Haven't posted much as I have been revising and gearing up for my last year of my degree. Hopefully my general hermitude will pay off in a more lucrative/interesting/fulfilling job when the time is right.
Paddy has beautiful curly dark hair that I will resist cutting for as long as possible. He's been a delightful baby, but I am looking forward to the next stage of his life (especially the bit where he is out of nappies!)

Hey Saurus, sorry can't advice on the coil as the thought puts me off sorry , I am also not on the pill, they gave me one and I turned into a witch. So we try to use condoms as and when we remember which of course is not good

Becca had her scan and we have to wait for the results. She was sooooo good though. She had to have 5 and lay there so nicely. I have to wait for the results which I am a bit pissed off about but hey ho.
DD1 still poorly temp back up to 39 again. Docs tomorrow I think.

Hanaflower have you considered Relate so you can both off load?

hana glad things seem to be improving with your DH - fingers crossed for you that they continue in the right direction.

Coolkat your poor DD's Am sure they will start to pick up by Wednesday.

Saurus no advice on the coil either as never gone near one - but I would definitely not go for the DIY removal method if I were you We are currently using condoms until DH gets off his arse and gets to the doctors....before I got pg with Hamster I had been on the pill pretty much constantly for 17 years (apart from the 12 months of TTC/being pg with DS1) so I really really didn't want to go back on it again.

Is anyone else's LO starting to move to 1 nap a day? Hamster refused to go for his morning nap today but I thought 11 months was a little bit early for this.....

Was thinking it might be a good idea to do a list of all the babies birthdays - would be nice to know who is turning 1 and when exactly. I'll start...

Thanks for coil advice - I had such a crap time on the pill as well that I am nervous about going back on the hormones again but, as DH says, I am in pain and crabby and have no libido anyway, so what's the difference. He said it nicely, though.

I bought my goddaughter this coat from Mothercare today, had to travel to a different branch to pick it up and got it home to find it has a fag burn on it. I am well cross, particularly as it is not available in her size online.

Rutho I'm not sure about my coil either. I feel very bloated with it and the dscharge thing is a bit eww, but then mine is the mirena so I have no periods, which is good for me as mine are awful as a rule.

DH was meant to be getting the snip but I think he has woosed out. Maybe I should make some more how about number 4 comments- that would get him running to the operating theatre

Hana well done with the jeans. I would suggest relate, too, I know a few couples for whom thishas really worked.

Coolkat I hope your girls are feeling better.

Ceebee Mimi quite often just has a monster nap in the middle of the day, other times she has two small am and pm ones. I think DD1 went to one big nap not long after her birthday- maybe 13-14 months?

Birthdays- well I think Mimi is one of the older babies here.

You know, for a November 08 thread we were a little bit fast off the starting blocks, no? Look at all these October babies!

I look back at this time last year and, well, what a learning curve...

Ceebee, bumble has been only having one nap a day for the last week or so. horribly though, he still has his morning one, at about 10ish till 11.30 ish and then more often than not doesn't nap again so is beside himself come bedtime. I need to get him in the habit of liosing the morning nap and having one just after lunchtime as all our activities are in the morning at the minute.

am knackered and sore today. No idea what's going on, but it feels like horrible period pain, my back is sore and my legs are really wobbly and weak.

and I have managed to put someone's nose out of joint in the playground over a school event ticket mix up and am dreading the school run now as well as desperately trying to think of ways of making excuses. DH thinks I'm over analysing things. I feel bad though.
