Hm - so far Matthew is definitely allergic to dairy & eggs, and we suspect he may be allergic to soya and shellfish as well, the dermatologist wants to book him for more tests to check on these and other things. Its certainly interesting!

Star, I found those dungarees too, but I think that they would be worth it for M as he's still really tiny!

I've got to go to bed, I'm falling asleep at the computer, so I'll catch up with more messages tomorrow.

Marthasmama · 21/07/2009 21:59

I'd like to be a bit taller too. I'm about half an inch taller than you Star.

star6 · 21/07/2009 22:05

oh! Forgot to ask your advice on this - or maybe I did already? can't remember. I called the dr who said pretty much nothing... anyway, for the past 2 days, Q vomits after he eats food. Not milk. He wants to bf a LOT lately (teething?) and never vomits after milk, but every single time, without fail, he vomits after food. Not the whole meal, but some of it... and he's not eating a lot lately, either. Dr said as long as he's still getting milk he's ok.
But I don't understand why he's vomiting and want to make sure he's ok??

RachieW · 21/07/2009 22:36

Hiya- not had a chance to be on today but just marking my place for tomo

Marthasmama · 21/07/2009 23:02

Hmmmmm not sure Star. The dr is right though, as long as he is getting milk he'll be ok. He might just have a dodgy tum. Take your lead from him with the food, if you're still worried take him back to the dr's again. Is he ok in himself? Is he ok in himself?

aubergenie · 22/07/2009 07:25

Morning ladies. Last day of school today - hurrah! I thought of you yesterday Rachie as I was covering in the nursery. It's definitely not my natural habitat - they're so teeny tiny, and I don't know all the songs! Sickness is rife at the moment in our school and all I could think of was the germs, as yet another child sneezed all over the lego. I think me getting swine flu is pretty inevitable, but I definitely don't want it before dp's brother's wedding on Friday.

Nice to have you back Ronshar. that you've been struggling. It's hard enough looking after LOs without being in pain as well.

at Q's walking Star. Think of it as the start of an exciting new era.

Ds has turned into a dreadful biter. When he's feeding he'll start messing around and
bite me really hard. Then he wait for me to react and laughs his head off. it's bloody painful and removing him and saying "No biting" in a firm voice just makes him laugh more. Little b*gger.

Got to go. Have a lovely day everybody.

aubergenie · 22/07/2009 07:26

Oh, and lovely dress Pistachio. I looked at that one but wondered whether it might be a bit too long for me.

Marthasmama · 22/07/2009 09:54

It would appear there was an echo in my house last night!

Aubergenie - Are you tiny too then? Maybe we should have a FB board saying how tall we all are! I bet Jenwa is the tallest.......

loulou33 · 22/07/2009 12:01

Hello

Hope you are all well. Not much to add from the loulou household. busy thinking about packing for hols(only thinking mund, i've not started actually doing anything yet) - off to Devon to see mum, next week, should i have started packing by now?? DH staying at home as he has too much work to do so it me and the kiddies for a week. Luckily mum is coming up to help me on the plane (think 2 children, evening flight and stressed mother - not a good combination)

Joe is desparately trying to stand up on his own. he straightens his legs and sticks his bum in the air and stays like that for ages in the middle of the room - strange child.

Ekka - Joe ONLY takes off his left sock and stuffs it in his mouth - lol at the long tongue, i hadn't thought of it like that. Doesn't even pull at his right sock but maybe because he's showing strong preference for left handedness.

MM - hope you're feeling ok. Tanya Byron has a HUGE house so we could all move in with her and stay for a while til she sorts them all out i'll email her now...maybe not!! Liked the echo too

Marthasmama · 22/07/2009 12:16

Loulou - M does downward dog pose too! I don't pack until the last minute and it is always a real stressy nightmare! Hope you have a good holiday.

DH took M to the dr's today about her uneven leg creases and he thinks she's absolutely fine. Phew!

ronshar · 22/07/2009 13:12

M is obviously just growing extra skin for her unfeasibly long legs, which she will use to very good effect in 15 years time

Star I have just ordered a walker thing. I was quite happy with my purchase until I saw yours. Pants.

Loulou I too come from the land of night before packing. I remember going snowboarding one year. We were leaving at 4am, so we all went down the pub had a few (5) drinks and then I went home to pack!! All I found in my bag when I arrived was shampoo, body lotion, pants and one T-shirt. Luckily all my boarding stuff had been packed by DH. He is incredibly anal about that kind of thing. He lays everything out on the bed in piles so he can see what he has got!!!

Marthasmama · 22/07/2009 13:17

Ronshar - Do you think a high court judge will need long legs then? I suppose those gowns are pretty long......

ronshar · 22/07/2009 13:23

Of course MM, all girls need long legs

Ekka · 22/07/2009 14:21

Ronshar - I'm just like your dh when it comes to packing!!! But I nag my dh (who never packs till the last minute) to make sure he gives me his stuff at least a day in advance....

Star. I may have to invest in that walker - it looks so great!

Marthasmama · 22/07/2009 14:28

Unfortunately DH and I are as bad as each other. It is chaos on our house!

Marthasmama · 22/07/2009 14:28

on our house, ON? I meant in our house.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/07/2009 15:54

I loathe packing, but as we haven't had a holiday for over a year I haven't had to do any .

Walker does look fab, but ds will have to make do with dd's cast offs.

D climbed an entire flight of stairs this morning .

Right, dd home - gotta dash off again!

Wow, N is 10 months already? Where did that time go. M will be 9 months on Friday and I can't believe that!!!

I have to admit CSWS, I think I may as well pass on the walker, M seems to be able to keep himself occupied quite happily for ages with an old computer cable and bits of paper to scrunch, tear and eat . Wow to D's stair climbing antics.... I'm very impressed

Dd is being really cute with him at the moment, she will sit and cuddle him if he cries and insists on having him sit on her knee (though I'm not sure he enjoys that as much as she does )

Myjob, don't worry ds will pull himself up to his knees on the furniture, but won't stand. If I stand him up he will stand nicely but doesn't hold on so if he leans to reach something he topples over. However, much to dd's dismay, he is very fast at crawling, so she is getting frustrated that she can't play with any of her toys in peace.

Marthasmama · 22/07/2009 18:48

Argh! I took my dressing off as I wanted to have a look and it's lost it's sticky! I thought it would be ok without the dressing but the scab is pointy and jagged so it will catch if I leave it. I feel a bit queasy and silly.

Myjob - But she is growing up. You have photographic evidence of it and she was the first one to clap and wave. Plus I don't know if any of the babies are blowing kisses.

Marthasmama · 22/07/2009 18:55

Hee hee! I had to turn my music off as M was dancing and not eating her dinner. She is quite a mover, I'll have to borrow a video camera......

There you go then! I think M would just eat coins if I gave them to her. We have no surgical tape so for the time being I have used masking tape which is very similar! I'm too curious about these sort of things. Fortunately the scar doesn't look too bad, it's a bit lumpy but I expect it will go down in time. I guess I was imagining the sort of scar you'd get from a knife wound that size. Obviously it's not as it is a surgical wound, silly mare!

Ekka - M eats any bits of paper she finds, she grabs them and crawls off, really fast, giggling to herself as she goes, so she can scoff them away from us. She is getting sooooo cheeky now. DS is looking forward to his Summer holidays so he can play with M, I haven't told her yet, I don't think she'll be too happy about it.

ronshar · 22/07/2009 20:01

Myjob. You see N is fab at the clever things, she is a girl of course, where as all the boys are good at the physical stuff. W likes nothing better than to break stuff and then bang very loudly on the table with what ever he can get his hands on! Absolutely no effort at pressing or twisting in this house.

CSWS, well done D on the mountain climbing. I am a bit happy at the bungalow/no stairs so I dont have the nightmare of up and down stair teaching!

MM will you just leave yourself alone. Get some normal plasters for now and stick it back on. You DO NOT WANT AN INFECTION.

star6 · 22/07/2009 20:02

5 minutes crying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FIVE MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!
I went in and he's actually not sleeping, but laying there with eyes open trying to go to sleep.... OHMYGOD! I thought I'd never see this day....
