Hugs Simpson and second strength to you for the day
Its lovely isn't it when they swim? George , in fact all my boys, just love the pool which is good as its the only excercise I actually enjoy too.
How did the church meeting go madmouse? Did you feel a bit better for going? Cant wait to see Nathans new boots.
DH on strike today and tommorrow. Hes pissed off as hes losing 2 days money I'm pissed off with him too as his son (my step son) has wrapped him around his little finger again and I'm boiling about it . Won't bore you with the details because Im so fucked off annoyed baout it all. Not worth saying anything though as it will fall on deaf ears
Anyway sorry about the moan.
Take care all xx

madmouse · 10/06/2009 16:59

Simpson we have already spoken today and we probably will be again - xx

Gingeme bit worried about the heart thing, but guess glad they caught it early?

LaT - sorry you are struggling with Sabela and sleep again/still. Feel really spoiled with Nathan who has coped with week in travel cot in lake district, 5 nights at home, 3 nights in different travel cot in Holland and now home again with no dent in his good sleeping habits. I would say God knows I need it with everything else going on, but the same goes for you!

I had golden advice from the wife of dh's boss who said her kids (now teens) would go to sleep anywhere as long as their routine would be the same, in Nathan's case wash tootbrush jimjams stretches story milk bed. So I do that religiously wherever I am.

Ange glad you feel you are making some progress.

Nathan is happy in his boots and the physio very pleased with how he is adapting to them, she thought he would struggle more to stand. He is also starting to push/belly crawl forward. Yes, my boy is definitely on the move and after plucking him away from the blinds six times I laughed as I was reminded of an expensive vow I made to a fellow Christian that I would never ever complain about having to run after him.

Hiya .... not a bad night for DS lost dummy at midnight then 5.45 when DH got up (noisy man!). I felt shattered all day though as sore gum after dentist kept me awake half the night . Also I am furious with work as they keep cocking my pay up and have now written to tell me they are recovering my childcare voucher money that i never even got.... .

How was it today Simpson?

I think we have a bird stuck in the chimney - eeek! Loads of rubble coming down it this evening.

right - glass of red, early night! Loving finishing work on a Weds night already! Going to try and take DS swimming again tomorrow when t's quiet, he hated it the last time we went .

JustKeepSwimming · 11/06/2009 09:51

Morning all

Simps - how are you and how went yesterday???

G - dh still peed off? families, eh?!

Congrats again to MrsMc & to MrMc for helping

Ange - grr re tooth and work! how was last night? do you feel you've cracked it now?

simpson · 11/06/2009 10:36

morning all

A lovely day here weather wise...

Have been totally manic this morning putting slow cooker on (with food in it obv.)
cleaning house etc.

however I am losing the will to live over highchair situation

Does everyones LOs still use one?

Sorry LaT - have just remembered you asked same thing

Basically DD fine to go in it but I swear I waste an hour a day cleaning it

Wondering whether to fork out on a easy to clean one?? But that will mean I have 3 high chairs

H situation ok (ish) but he is really not well Was shocked when I saw him TBH but in some ways make decision easier than if he had seemed "normal" iyswim.

Going to attempt bath if Dcs will play nicely in J's room for 5 mins.

Gingeme · 11/06/2009 12:42

Afternoon all
Simpson I thought you said you had a booster seat with tray like we have? Or am I just imagining that?
We used a highchair with ds3 put him in a booster seat with tray at my sil and never looked back. I realy don't like highchairs tbh. They were definately designed by a man
JKS I am pissed off with DH all over again today don't get me started
We have had a busy morning sorting our shed out. Found quite a few clothes that I put away for Edward. Shorts t shirt etc which is realy annoying because I bought a load of new stuff for him a couple of weeks ago Going to try to sell some on Ebay. That'll make a change from buying form Ebay
Right off for some lunch then some pics to take of the bits I'm going to sell.
Enjoy the sunshine all xx

madmouse · 11/06/2009 13:12

re highchair - we splurged on stokke tripp trapp and still love it

Lilyloo · 11/06/2009 13:18

afternnon all

congrats MrsMc

Simps how did yesterday go ?? Might be worth getting the cheapy ikea one think it's about £12 can bung it in dishwasher. I find the tchibo one ok though , don't you have that one ??

JKS just back from aldi and bought , 2 double air beds , one single , three lanterns and windbreak.

Well done to Nathan with his boots sounds like he likes them

Ange i am how well A has done with the sleep thing , have you a boasting thread yet ?

M has slept a full 12 hours the last two nights unheard of here!!!!

OP posts:
simpson · 11/06/2009 13:46

lilyloo - tchibo one now at my mums

TBH need highchair with tray.

Gingeme - yes you are right I do have booster, had forgotten about it, its in the attic (where else!!)

Do you think it could go in dishwasher to be cleaned??

Still have loads of jobs to do here, my oven is a disgrace but M napping in buggy so going to chill my self

Madmouse - hope Nathan's appt goes well

simpson · 11/06/2009 13:47

spoke too soon M just woke up. Grrrr...

Gingeme · 11/06/2009 16:30

Wouldn't know about the dishwasher we don't have the luxury of owning one but I put Georges in the bath every now and then and give it a good scrub and rinse with the shower

JustKeepSwimming · 11/06/2009 17:31

Lily - lol went with both boys after lunch and bought:

2 x single self-inflating mattresses
a folding cupboard thing
a folding table
2 x lanterns (those little ones? v cute)

forgot to get a windbreak thing, but not sure i can face going back again, 3rd time in a week!

still haven't resolved what they would sleep with, maybe even take a fitted sheet and duvets and pillows? as like home as poss - except for H can't decide travel cot vs bed-style.
am planning on getting him a bed soon as he LOVES T's, first thing he always does when in their room is climb on T's bed, throw himself around and bounce

hello everyone else, sorry forgotten what i was going to say and already waffled long enough!

nicky6 · 11/06/2009 20:33

oh my goodness just about caught up. Dh out. Congrats mrs mc - but they say 2 close together makes labour speedy - and i only have 3 weeks left kinda scary. Plus Dh away with work for 2 weeks from monday - yikes and all nto very organised here.

Also sorry for small rant but Dh very annoying he is quite superstitious about not tempting fate etc and it has been an absolutely constant battle to get him to agree to put charlie into a new room so that she doesnt feel booted out of her room when baby comes. He says things like whats the point we can do it after the baby comes blah blah blah. He has cleary forgotten what having a new born is like and we have a 16 month old as well .

Questions from him like - do we really need a double buggy Y E S. Also not wanting to put anything in charlies new room to help her settle arghhhhh.

ANyway most unlike me but I ignored him - he and I dont normally do that so charlie had her first night n her new room last night took 1.5 hours to get her to sleep and she woke at 6.30 instead of 7.30! Anyway without wishing to tempt fate she went down tonight at 7 and was asleep by five past hooray. But he noticed this morning I had put her winnie the pooh stickers on the wall behind her cot - he was actually quite cross, really annoying - I told him if he was that bothered about it he could put them back in the other room.

Anyway sorry ladies rant over.

Re highchair - at home charlie in highchair but at nursery sits quite happily round a little table with all the other children.

Am busy trying to re read the baby whisperer as cant remember anything and also a book on birth as did nothing last time. I hope I manage to hang on til dh back.

Charlie talking talking talking full sentences and copying anything she hears an adult say - nursery say very funny. Also just started to throw a little tantrum every now and again not bad ones just flexing muscles i think.

She also went through phase of demanding yoghurt and blueberries at every meal. I just told her no there arent any and ignored her and kept feeding her whatever else.

Anyway quite enough of my babble.

Gingeme · 11/06/2009 21:19

Oh Nicky she sounds like a clever little thing wonder why DH is so set in his ways still don't get me started on men. Sore subject at the moment.
I gave all the boys a hair cut today. Amazing how different they all look after.
I use clippers with a number 4 setting so its not too short and they don't look like mini yobs
George has now taken to screaming. Properly. Not for any particular reason. If Edward copies him he finds that great and does it all the more
Mooncup week has arrived 5 days early this month still atleast I won't be on when I do my race for life
Going for my blood test tomm morning. Its a fasting one so no breakfast
I hope you all have good nights xx

AngeChica · 12/06/2009 07:28

2 more good nights here but the pay-off is definitely early rising, mustn't grumble though.

Had a bra fitting revelation yesterday ... am now a 34 G . Also I used to steer clear of those t-shirt bra things figuring that I didn't need any extra padding - but they give you a great shape through clothes!

On the lookout for some serious shapewear - bridesmaid in 2 weeks. still feel v flabby, had great plans to do more exercise etc a little while ago but a little part of me thinks why bother if going to have another DC next year.

Good luck Nicky, would have thought double buggy essential with that age gap - Charlie will be too young for a buggy board!

where are campers off to?

simpson · 12/06/2009 12:18

FFS now the other fish is about to croak it!!

Would happen just after H has left.

Grrr

Lilyloo · 12/06/2009 12:23

Simps you can get a tray for the ikea one!

Ange we are going to Wales in August for a week.
The Lakes for a long weekend with 5 other couples and their kids (all our neighbours)!
Then looking for a couple of weekends in Yorkshire i think with il's!

JKS L and M love thos little ones , got a remote contorl one as well. H will be in charge of the torch

Simps how did it go ???

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 12/06/2009 12:26

Simps - is it the last one? bright side means no more after this one goes
(yuk though)
you ok post H visit?

Haven't decided on campsite yet, thinking somewhere in suffolk so not a long drive. though dh wants to try one night in the garden first - can't decided if that's crazy or sensible....

H slept from 9.15 till now.....will have to wake him in a bit for lunch and so he's up for long enough before he goes back down so he can get up for tea, and go back down for bedtime....wish he would wake up more.

Gingeme · 12/06/2009 13:31

Oh yuk Simpson boak !! Dead fish
DH and I still not communicating very well. His son rang him to say thanks for the money today Just glad I didn't answer the phone or I would have had a go at him. DH didn't tell me who had rang. He knows I'm still cross......
Had my blood test this morning. Have to wait a week now for the results.
My Dad is having ds3 tommorow afternoon as ds4 and 5 are going to a party. ds3 can't wait
Not much else happening today .The lo's are sleeping now.
I'm changing beds etc.
Will pop by later.

LaTrucha · 12/06/2009 15:12

Lily - Where in Wales?

DH and I seem to be at cross-purposes a lot ATM which is surprising seeig as we've only been in the same country for 6 dyas. I think I'm a bit on the edge with all the bad things going on and am a bit hormonal, paranoid and preoccupied. Not a good combination! I also think he can be a bit of an arse!

He's leaving again tomorrow for three weeks, so any problem will at least be on hold for a while.

On the good front Sabela sleeping 7.30 til 6am. Yay!

Simpson - sorry more horrid fish to deal with.

Gingeme - fingers crossed for the test.

Ange - LMAO at your weight loss excuse! You could try limiting A's day sleep. We do to 45 mins to an hour and she's sleping later now.

Nicky - sympathies. Did he forget, by any chance, what a newborn is like because you did the night wakings?

Madmouse - lol at your vow. We say the silliest things, don't we?

simpson · 12/06/2009 16:12

Gingeme - I bought tinned peaches the other week for M to try and still haven't opened them as remind me of dead fish

AngeChica · 12/06/2009 21:26

Quiet here!

Had a top day today. Been to beach, woods, and to water play park in nearby town (pics on FB). Lots of fountains, sprays etc. to play in. A had such fun. It's a really lovely idea and free as well!

Hmm, idea re sleep LaT. Do you mean an hour of daytime sleep in total? I think A still needs more - he can get quite grouchy if not enough naptime still.

Gingeme · 12/06/2009 22:11

Lol Simpson. Sorry if I have put you off tinned peaches.
George will generaly sleep about an hour - hour and a half but isnt grouchy if he is woken before. Edward on the other hand will sleep up to 3 hours in the day if I let him. Total grump if has less than 2 hours though.
Ange be warned they say you put on a stone with each baby. All makes it harder tp lose after. Don't I just know it
How are you madmouse?
What are you up to this weekend JKS ?
Well I'm off to bed soon. I have started a realy good book so will read that for a while.
Night all xx
