Hi all.
No JKS they havn't started clearing the area yet. I was laying in bed last night mentaly decorating and sorting the house as to what will go where . What am I like ?
Lillyloo have you tried a different food with her? I guess you've been given the advice on what could trigger it ? Glad to hear she slept better though. Sometimes that makes a big difference to both of you
Simpson is quiet today. Hope all is well with her. Maybe she is just getting over the shock of the new boots for Molly £40.
Well not much hapening here today. Just popped to Morrisons this morning and took 3 bags to the charity shop.
DH at work now and lo's sleeping.
Off to put some more washing on.
TTFN xx

LaTrucha · 21/09/2009 14:16

HI all

Gingeme - exciting about the new house. Hope it all goes through.

Hi Lily - I have eczema and it comes and goes. Bath products and washing powder can effect it but don't really make it come on. I'm afraid steroid cream plus sensible washing products (which you obviously have) are the only things that work for me and Sabela.

JKS - sorry about the poorliness. How frustrating just after you've taken a turn for the better.

Simpson - how are you today?

Madmouse - I know you're out there, so HELLO!

We're fine today. Went to the park for a picnic and Sabela as usual when we're out wouldn't eat a thing but anElla's Kitchen pouch. She used to be fine but in the last few weeks she won't even touch her very favourite things when we eat out (meaning I eat out, she puts her face very close to food and then shkaes her head).

Anyone else's LO obsessed with eating stones? I have to watch her lieka hawk at the moment. And yesterday she put her finger in a muddy puddle and tasted it before I could stop her.

But try and give her a piece of actualt food outside and will she put it in her mouth? Will she heck.....

simpson · 21/09/2009 15:28

LOL at Gingeme mentally decorating house at night That is exactly what I would do!!

Lilyloo - been doing Xmas presents here too. The big pressies have been in my toyshop attic for ages but reckon kids need maybe 4 or 5 other smaller presents then stocking fillers.

I bought J at wooden skittle set yesterday in ELC which was on sale and some glow in the dark stars for stocking.

LaT - wants to put things in her mouth too that should not be there However the new trick problem is head butting and its usually me

So if I don't give her what she wants she sits on my lap and flings head back and catches me in mouth Not really quite sure how to deal with this one??

JKS - how has H been today? Have you heard any more from GOSH? You must be very proud of T after what that bloke said

LaTrucha · 21/09/2009 15:39

I would probably put Sabela in our kitchen for half a minute if she did that. There is a glass door between the lounge and our kitchen and I just shut the door. It worked when I wanted her to stop touching the TV. She hates it.

JustKeepSwimming · 21/09/2009 15:50

Hi all

(anyone else having FB problems? getting twitchy about my crops, lol)

Lilyloo - well done on the presents, lots of bargains! Yes he is a nice man, have only met him a few times but they gave us a load of furniture years back
Hope M's skin keeps improving.

Gingeme - lol i would be doing that too! did they have some floor plans of the houses? i would be sorting out where to put my furniture

LaT - can't think of what to suggest re S and eating, she will eat when she's hungry enough i guess...
H just likes to pull up grass or dig in the mud

Simps - i hope those boots are fab-tastic!!! LaT's idea is good, she would hate it and as long as she's gets the connection with the head butting it should work?
yes i am proud of T, we had a few negative comments from the nursery (where he's not going anymore) which got me worried but the pre-sch has only been very positive about him. I worry that i delude myself about him and actually he's the nightmare kid the other parents want their kids not to play with!!

H is ok-ish today. he was up in the night once so had more ventalin then and went straight back to sleep. his breathing has got rought just before he's due more ventalin and it def improves it, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was. he's just as tired as normal. so hopefully he's over the worst. Have left messages with GOSH but not heard back
we should get the SF results tomorrow & i'm sure he'll be clear, so think we'll go on wed regardless at this point - and he should be so much better by wed anyway.

i showed myself how near 'the edge' i am this morning when a stupid post office woman upset me and i held it together long enough to come home, then sobbed it was over nothing but has had me all 'fragile' all day - ridiculous really....

anyhoo, been out to a friends, H sleeping, T having tv time, I'm MNing so all good

LaTrucha · 21/09/2009 16:33

She eats at home but not outside.

Lilyloo - Another thing to try one day might be Aveeno cream. I think they do a bath too. Friends who have DCs with eczema swear by it.

DD doesn't want to stop cuddling today which is why I'm still here. Also waiting for AF to begin. I know it's going to. Beginning to get a bit downhearted about the TTC business. Daren't start a thread though as I think I'll be flamed because it hasn't been THAT long. So venting here....

Gingeme · 21/09/2009 18:08

LaT stop trying so hard and it will just happen

simpson · 21/09/2009 18:21

LaT - do you think it is because she is easily distracted ie so much going on in park??

TBH think I am going to start sticking M on bottom step whenever she head buts or bites as I don't have anywhere to put her otherwise iyswim.

My RL friend leant me a travel cot which I put her in whenever she bit but she thought it was great fun going in it and thought it was a bouncy castle which defeated the object

JKS - hope H gets better soon and appt goes ahead. Not suprised you lost it after everything you have had to put up with

Have a nice glass of something chilled tonight

LaTrucha · 21/09/2009 20:45

I don't really mind her not eating outside - I think it's just a phase.

She does want to eat. She picks things up and looks at them, even puts them in her mouth occasionally but won't eat.

I think she must have tasted something outside that wasn't as she expected and now she's really suspicious.

She looks at me as if I'm being a bit silly when I offer her food outside, as if to say, 'Knock it off Mum, you know that's a silly thing to do.'

simpson · 21/09/2009 20:55

LOL at sabela

Have you been TTC long??

It took me a while to get pg with M and I remember being devestated each month

It also suprised me as DS total accident when I forgot one pill

LaTrucha · 21/09/2009 21:40

All year. I was pregnant for a wee while in February / MArch so if we count from there it's 5/6 months. And we weren't in the same country for a lot of that time. Not long really but I'm beginning to feel awful. We are really trying IFSWIM, so I don't know why I'm not.

simpson · 21/09/2009 21:56

it took us 9 or 10 (I forget ) mths to get pg with M.

TBH was on the verge of going to GP then got up the duff on the last mth I gave myself before making appt.

Gingeme · 22/09/2009 13:22

Afternoon ladies. Had a bit of a nightmare with George last night. He was walking backwards on our sofa when he fell of the end. Cracked his head on the oil heater and cut his head open There was blood everywhere and he wouldn't keep still to let us have a look We eventualy calmed him down with a couple of Arnicha tablets and he was allowed to hold the container. Put ice on it and it stopped bleeding after a while. Massive bump there though . He woke a couple of times through the night but seems ok today.
We bought David and Edward an electric toothbrush each yesterday. They were in fits of lughter last night brushing their teeth because it tickled Shame George is too young to have one. He had a nice Disney one instead.

madmouse · 22/09/2009 14:53

oops Ginge - glad that seems to have ended well. Can I say though that the experience of having 5 kids shows in the way you responded?

LaTrucha · 22/09/2009 15:28

I thought exactly the same thing, MM. Admirably calm.

Shoes have arrived and they do have buckles and they do seem to fit. The colour isn't my favourite, but hey ho. At least they should stay on (famous last words emoticon.....)

Off to find a cow shaped play doh / pastry cutter. I'm getting a bit obsessed by Sabela's Christmas play doh set as I didn't like any I could find and am making up my own. But now everything has to match and be complete... Can you tell I've got asleeping baby on my lap and have to find something to do in internetland?

Gingeme · 22/09/2009 16:24

Thankyou ladies

simpson · 22/09/2009 17:07

Gingeme - well dsone for coping so well with George's accident.

When J fell and knocked his tooth out there was also lots of blood and lets just say I was not so calm

Quick question....

Has anyone put their LO's name down for a play group yet??

JKS - any news??

LaTrucha · 22/09/2009 18:30

Simpson - mean to do it very soon. There's one here next door to what may be her primary school that starts at two and a half.

simpson · 22/09/2009 18:48

LaT - have put M down for one to start when she is 2 but it is not OFSTED registered anymore (it was when J went there) so means that I will have to keep paying when M is 3 which now H is gone Iwant to save the pennies iyswim.

Have found another one nearby who don't take them till 2 and a half and I want M to go from Jan (think she and me need it ) so will have to hunt for another I think...

LaTrucha · 22/09/2009 20:06

She probably would love it, wouldn't she? How often are you thinking of her going?

simpson · 22/09/2009 20:28

think I will start off at twice a week and as it gets closer to her starting pre school will up it to maybe 3 or 4 just for the last couple of months so pre school not such a

TBH have had the day from hell with M

Went to toddler group today and she was f**king awful (sorry for swearing )

She bit another child, bit me twice and had total melt down which last over 30 mins screaming because I would not let her have a 3rd biscuit.

Am at a bit ofd a loss with her ATM TBH

JustKeepSwimming · 23/09/2009 07:30

Morning all, update on H first:

We are off to GOSH today, for 4 things;

  • blood tests
  • ultrasound on his abdomen
  • echo on his heart
& to meet the professor.

the first 3 are apparently to rule out TS (which we thought they had already with a clear CT scan).

Hopefully the prof will be able to give us some answers about why we are having these extra tests & what went on at his case review last week.

Should be home tonight to let you know how it all went.

Despite everything...I was thinking H could do some sessions after Easter next year at the same pre-sch as T. They would just have 1 term together before T went to school which I thought would be sweet

Anyway the ladies there are fab and i'm pretty sure they would manage H well. But it's a long way off just yet.

G - hope George is ok?

Simps - un-MN ((hugs)) for you, remember she could be reacting to the whole H situation too. How's J these days? Could your parents lend a hand again for a bit?

That'll have to do for now, should be getting stuff sorted for today, but need to check on my farm first!

madmouse · 23/09/2009 10:06

eeeew panicking at this pre school/playgroup thing. Nathan still spends most time on his tummy and cannot walk - how does that work - his special teacher is coming tomorrow maybe she has advice - she's good

Hope you're all ok - JKS thinking about you and H speak to you today or tomorrow x

Feeling a bit as I mentioned to dh yesterday that I doubt I will be ready for work again on 1 December and he said immediately 'no you won't be - count on another 3 months'.

Therapy is already hard now and we are still trying to get down to my actual feelings as I have built up so many defense mechanisms and what I am dealing with is really rather nasty. And i have said i will not go back to work until ready to kick ass again - line manage staff, handle complaints the lot.

So far today i have scrubbed the living daylights out of the bathroom and am now exhausted

So you see - I am still here and still reading. Will try to post as often as I can when not too down. (There is a difference between down and sad but how to explain?)

LaTrucha · 23/09/2009 12:49

MAdmouse - cleaning = good! I think Nathan would love pre-school! I'm sure his teacher will fill you in on the what where and who. I think the thing is with counselling is that it has to be open-ended. If you have a definite stop date, all the things that want to hide can just say, 'Well, that's ok. We'll just sit tight until the 1st of December and everything will be fine.' Sorry it's tough ATM.

JKS - hope you get the answers you're looking for. Good luck today. Look forward to hearing all tonight.

Simpson - Sorry you're having a mare with M. Biting and tantrums are totally normal, you know! Though I would hate it too if Sabela bit (ATM she only bites DH . It started as a teething thing and is now becoming a bit of a 'thing' in itself. Bit worried about it. It's only occasional though.) As my MIL would say, '!A la calle!' - to the street! We do a continual round of library, playground, swimming, walks, pony stroking etc etc ATM. It's exhausting but good.

Lilyoo- how has the football fiasco panned out?

GIngeme - How's George this morning? Still fine?

AF came this AM (sorry top keep harping on it). I was getting wound up about potentially going to the doctors and really not wanting it all to get technical and I've made a decision this morning. I'm going to give it a year (ie. until January) and then make an appointment. Until then, it's fun and froilcs and no buying of strips, tests or any of the likes. Let's see how I do...

P.s. if you think this is a stupid idea for a 36 year old, please let me know!

Gingeme · 23/09/2009 12:52

Good luck JKS will look forward to all the positives later
Simpson sometimes you are allowed to give in. 3 biscuits aren't realy that bad. (creeps back in to the corner with packet of choc Hobnobs) I know that wasn't realy useful but I gope it made you smile.
madmouse I was talking about our fb conversation today to DH about my farmville farm you reckon I'm going to have if I get my garden He said as long as the animals all stand in line like they do now he doesn't mind he he. We are all here to listen if you need to vent xxx
George is fine today. Slept much better last night. Has a bit of a runny nose but thats about it.
Right off to do some farming now xxx
