I fill left out. Maybe I need to pack the fam for a trip too. Have fun Dizzy and Sazzles.

RedLentil???? What happened?

Tai Ji was great BUT nobody to join me for Tacomamacita. Since it was packed out I didn't want to go in by myself decked out in my exercise gear. SO NO SOUP & TACO. No problem, I thought. I'll just pop over to the health grocery and get a Sunny Bunny. Got there late and the juicer was already broken down and put away. SO NO SUNNY BUNNY. Did I mention I didn't eat dinner before Tai Ji?

That means I'M STARVING NOW so thanks Oops for the breakfast.

AnnVan · 29/05/2009 13:33

Ah TS don't feel left out. We're going nowhere either. I wish I could drive already, and just pack up and o somewhere. But it doesn't work like that when you rely solely on public transport.

lwfh · 29/05/2009 14:07

Hi, everything went well yesterday. the new baby is 4cm long. DS slept from 9-2.45am in one go, which is also pretty good for him. I hope that everyone has nice weekends.

Miamla · 29/05/2009 14:45

hiya, i'm home
anyone miss me? i've had such a lovely time! feel like i've been on holiday and DS had fun playing with my friend and her husband. And as a bonus i managed to meet up with my aunt and new uncle who were over from the US. lovely lovely few days, feel v refreshed and ready for anything now

off to catch up now

Miamla · 29/05/2009 16:13

lol, its a loooong time since i've been called a chheky monkey

RedLentil · 29/05/2009 20:24

Apologies for all that swearing last night. I remained the picture of marital calm though, as dealing with DH's occasional cock-ups without recriminations earns me mucho leeway to be a crazy woman at other times.

DH finally got home this morning after travelling from Heathrow to Stansted and using a ticket I had bought online.

He couldn't find anywhere to print his boarding card though so Ryanair charged him 40 euros on top of the cost of the flight.

Still, all has been lovely here today. The girls were very well-behaved at the market in town. DD1 sat in the front of the double buggy and used her binoculars to help us navigate.

We got a lot of

And the weather is on the up here. We're getting those mild, sunny days and long breezy evenings that make this place just wonderful.

I can't believe we're here nearly 2 years though. It's great to hit that point where you feel really at home and have made real (and virtual) friends.

RedLentil · 29/05/2009 20:26

Oh and Miamla, it's a lucky boy that has a cheeky monkey for a mum.

I'm GOING to GO inSANE!!!!!!!

My laptop is dying and there's nothing I can do but send it to the fixers.

I manage our entire life on THAT laptop!

I need to pay bills BUT my bank ledger is on THAT computer!!

THIS IS NOT GOOD!
THIS IS REALLY NOT GOOD!

I'm in What the HELL do I DO mode, trying to think rationally about being laptopless for as much as a month.

My files are all backed up. GOOD!
I could just buy a another computer. BAD!
I could give the new computer to DH. GOOD!
I could just load my account software on DH's computer. BAD! (that's what I'm on now)
I could live entirely off of credit cards until the laptop is returned so we would definitely NOT run out of money. VERY VERY BAD!

ARRRGGHHHHH!!!!

Hi Red. Hi Miamla.
to the rest.

If you don't see me very much...you'll know why.

TwilightSurfer · 30/05/2009 00:18

I am now UNDER CONTROL.

who's making the new thread?

TwilightSurfer · 30/05/2009 02:54
Hmm
TwilightSurfer · 30/05/2009 02:58

ok took just about 3 hours to possibly fix my laptop. you know i tend to forget i was trained to fix computers (back in the day). i become the frantic end-user, freaking out over lost files...blah blah blah. funny though i'll only know for sure i solved the problem...if it never happens again. oh well, such is the life of a tech.....that's one BIG reason i quit the field.

guess since i'm up and in i.t. mode i'll create our new thread.

on moment please while i generate something cool......
