Can I pop in just to add to the selb spotting? A certain Bob Williams was in Costa in our town a few weeks ago. I put on my best 'Who are you?' face when I saw him as he was being madly harrassed buy some wierdies.

DH off to watch footie at the ILs, DD and I were invited but we kindly turned down the offer in favour of Greys anatomy and ice cream.

Doc has changed my piulls to the safest for BF and I should hear from the consultant by Friday for an appointment next week.

Bck later with ice cream for all. Dh is supposed to be watching DD for a while and she is bored of Champions League build up already!

There is something a bit wrong about seeing the words 'log' and 'food intake' in the same sentence.

Slebs: Christopher Walken once told my ex-boyfriend that he 'looked like shit' which tbf was true.

Off to do the bedtime feed, back later no doubt.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 27/05/2009 19:45

ooh I like Christopher Walken bit rude to say that though.
I live near Paul Shane and the Chuckle Brothers, not very exciting though and the old bird from last of the summer wine.

Lol at all the sausage chatter.
ts well done to your dd today.
buckets All your talk of sushi made me try it for the first time today, Now I am mad with myself for never trying it before it was gorgeous.
I also have a parcel to collect which I missed today, no idea what it is though.
sazzles you domestic goddess. all that before lunch too.
Both dcs fast asleep. House shit tip bit untidy.
off to catch up more because I ahve forgotten

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 27/05/2009 19:50

cc hope it helps lowering the dose.
oops hope you are ok.
redlentil never mind about the box of dodgy biscuits we wont tell.
Been thinking of you steaky if you are about. wondering how you are feeling now you are over here.

I managed a few hors with ds today. My sister took dd for a few hours, who sobbed when my sister and all her kids left. (she adores them)
I went to ride my sisters horse again yesterday, and suprisingly my back is and was ok.
We are up early and going to collect the Horse tomorow. Not sure if I am more excited for the Horse or the fact that I am dropping both dcs with my step mum while we go. Bless my younger brother and sister as they were supposed to be going to the cinema but would rather have my kids instead. AAHHHH they must be mad!!!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 27/05/2009 19:52

lwfh all the best for tomorow, at least I think its tomorow.

DD also rode the horse yesterday and didnt want to come off. I was trying to tell dh all about it but he was trying so hard to ignore it. Going to put pics on FB

cyteen · 27/05/2009 19:56

Hehe, don't worry no1 it was said in the spirit of concern - my ex had a raging hangover, the kind that makes you sweat vodka from every pore, and I think CW was slightly concerned that he might just drop dead there in the shop

Eek that you live near the Chuckle Brothers. They give me the fear!

My dad is coming up to visit tomorrow, yay along with my nan, stepmum and nan's partner. They haven't seen DS since January Boy are they in for a surprise

cyteen · 27/05/2009 20:15

RHUBARB AND DATE BREAD

8oz rhubarb, chopped
2oz butter
8oz plain flour
1 tbsp baking powder (yes, really, and the loaf was still quite flat, but still tasty)
6oz dates, stoned and finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
4 tbsp milk

Wash the rhubarb and cook gently in just the water clinging to the pieces until you have a puree. Rub the butter into the flour and baking powder till it looks like fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the rhubarb, dates, egg and milk and mix together well. Spoon into a greased and lined 2lb loaf tin and bake in a preheated oven at 190/Gas 5 for 1 hour until firm to the touch.

What this recipe doesn't tell you is that it's a complete arse chopping up that many sticky dates into tiny pieces, but it's still worth in the end. I used scissors. And swore a lot.

oopsacoconut · 27/05/2009 20:19

Cyteen - my mother has just rung to ask what you were on about and did I need to tell her something and what were the tablets for? You had her all excited and anxious at once.

dizzydixies · 27/05/2009 20:22

dizzydixies · 27/05/2009 20:58

VG am actually sending you Petey's number

dizzydixies · 27/05/2009 21:00

and thank you re my cousin, am sure you all know why I think Dylan was perfectly timed and I just hope that this new baby brings them similar comfort too - once they get over the shock that it

RedLentil · 27/05/2009 21:08

Oops, I keep forgetting to say, I hope this is the start of feeling better. Grey's anatomy and icecream sounds perfick.

Yay for No1 and a day out!

And thanks for the rhubarb recipe Cyteen. I love rhubarb with a great passion and a new recipe is always welcome. Glad too that the tales of three children are appreciated. DD2 has started hugging the older ones and they just preen when she tries to strangle them.

Enjoy your family day tomorrow. I bet Joe will bring back happy memories for your dad and your nan of Si when he was small too ...

I was trying to sort three children for bed earlier and DH rang from London where he is watching the football. When I said that DS was watching it in his pyjamas and not his United shirt he-that is v. clever, sensible DH-had a strop and said he needed me to find it 'for luck'.

I'll allow myself a wtf for that one I think.
Flippin lunatic ...

hotterpotter · 27/05/2009 21:20

The closest I have come to fame is walking past Nick Cave in Manchester once

Oops Robbie Williams seems to attract weirdos. I used to work with a girl , she was in her mid twenties, still lived at home, saved all her money and holidays to follow fat Rob across Europe, even checking into same hotels etc . She talked about him all the time. LOL at your mum worrying because of facebook .

VG I wasn't too naughty honest , have hardly eaten any bread this week, and only had 2.5 cupcakes today

Cyteen hope you have a lovely day with your rellies tomorrow

No1 for horsey riding

Ann I am about your instructor. There must be two schools of thought when it comes to beginning lessons - some like yours (and my sister's) who just throw you in at the deep end, and some like mine who took ages to get going and I felt a bit like I was wasting my money at first because he'd spend what seemed like half the lesson driving me to/from some deserted place before he let me have a go. This method seems to have worked for me though because it gave me a chance to understand what I was supposed to be doing before I had to think about other cars too. Now I have progressed a bit and am driving from home

hotterpotter · 27/05/2009 21:22

Ooh RedLentil you'd better find that shirt PQD or your DH will never forgive you

hotterpotter · 27/05/2009 21:25

PQD???? Obviously I meant PDQ
