Oh Sazzles I am so sorry to hear this sending love your way.

Love to you too Steaky , and you guys seemed to be doing so well . Hope your UK break will give you both a bit of space and perspective to see what it is that you both really want.

Eh up Ann, glad you waited until after tea to share that poo story sorry to hear things a bit off at your house too, glad to hear that you are managing to talk about it though.

No1 hope the herbal stuff does the trick for DS, and that DD has now gone to sleep. I don't think Cyteen and CC want to meet us (or maybe they're just busy ), but do you want a mini-meet on 22 May to take the out of the Bristol one?

Buckets are you relieved that they think it's really just toddler diarrhoea? Or annoyed that there isn't another explanation? Do they expect it will eventually clear up by itself?

Have got achey shoulders today - took DS into town in my Mei-Tai Mark 2 (mark 1 too small). He loved it though and promptly fell asleep which he hasn't done in the Moby for ages, just need to work out some alterations for the next version. Including longer straps [fat pig]

Have been out today, in traffic well a few trucks but not much. I got into 4th gear and actually broke the speed limit a couple of times . It makes my head spin trying to remember it all, but I can sort of see how I will get the hang of it [fingers crossed] Next lesson on Friday ...

my news is that i've been holding on the phone for about 30 minutes to pay dh's speeding ticket....remember his golf trip a couple of weekends ago...seems the georgia police didn't like him speeding down the interstate. neither did his wife since the bill is $215US and it will most definitely cause our insurance premium to go up.

TwilightSurfer · 11/05/2009 22:16

reminds me of a couple i knew who almost had a tangle with the florida police over a little drive off situation....OH that would have been a great story under yesterday's thieves/almost theives topic.

giggle

TwilightSurfer · 11/05/2009 22:17

TwilightSurfer · 11/05/2009 22:17

my neighbor got the remodel bug, started to replace her patio door and found the whole rear wall of her living room was completely rotted out. they are now sporting a big blue tarp over the whole backside of their house.

Oh Sazzles. So sorry to hear about your friend. We're almost at the anniversary of my friend who died suddenly last year and it's been on my mind loads. Somehow once the activity of the funeral was over, with RL being so full (what with my Aug08 baby and all that ), I hadn't given it/her that much thought, but it's really come back in the last week or so. We (her uni friends) are getting together to mark 10 years since graduation next month and remember her. We're also setting up an art prize at the uni in her name/memory. A bit early to be thinking in those terms for your friend but it sounds as though you and your friend will provide lots of support for one another.

Hi ann. Good to see you! Sorry times have been tough with DP, work etc. but good that you're talking. Are you back for good? [hopeful].

Congrats on dealing with traffic hp. I still maintain that I'd be a good and confident driver if it wasn't for other cars on the road .

{{reese is in my lap so excuse all typos from this point forward}}

Sazzles, dd1 tells me DAILY how we need to sell our house and go back to the beach so we can live in the beach house so she can have a bedroom on the second floor with midi-sazzles and Emma. DAILY! She is totally obsessed with sleeping on the second floor with her friends. Poor soul.

hotterpotter · 11/05/2009 22:27

Sazzles my DD still thinks ice cream is too cold, except for Mr. Whippy

TS grrr for your DH's speeding ticket . Do spill the thieving story though. I meant to confess mine earlier which is that DD and I between us stole a rather fetching red wooden tractor from the Early Learning Centre (slightly worthy UK toy shop). I had given it to her to look at to keep her quiet while I was looking at books, didn't realise till we were in the supermarket 20 mins later that she still had it . In my defence the red tractor was camouflaged against the red pushchair. Was too embarrassed to take it back, also it's rather nice

Stupid freeview machine missed recording an episode of The Wire, stupid Hotter accidentally deleted an unwatched episode so now I have to find it cheap on DVD. Doh

Reese is so not herself. Fussing. Crying. Grumpy. Restless. She's pooping and eating normally. Her sleep is all crazy though. I'm blaming it all on her teeth but wondering if it's more. Why? Why on earth would I wonder if it's more???

crossed my mind...she's tugged at her ear a few times but she doesn't have a fever or any other big symptom.

TwilightSurfer · 11/05/2009 22:39

when my wisdom teeth were growing in my ears hurt from time to time like i had an ear infection but didn't. she's just not herself and it's sad (and it's wearing me out).

hotterpotter · 11/05/2009 22:46

Our local Mr Whippy ice cream van man is called Uncle Les it just sounds so inappropriate

TS poor Reese . Having been blessed with easy teethers I would say it sounds like something else, especially if she's eating happily. Honestly, you wish they could talk so they could tell you what's up, but then as soon as they start you can't flipping shut 'em up [mother of little girl]
