I like the green one or the black and white one heather, but am not so keen on the other. Silver or maybe gold shoes with the green dress I think. Are you a silver or gold jewellery person?

CSWS - Clearly metallics are the correct choice if we both agree! I love the green dress. I want that Atonement dress, but it is Chanel so I think not......!

Marthasmama · 09/05/2009 22:01

Myjob - As I have said before, I am very good at giving other people advice but I'm such a magpie that I just buy pretty things. When I'm fat, I wear what fits, when I'm slim I wear jeans and jumpers or t-shirts. I have a wardrobe full of beautiful dresses (including two Chloe and one Marc Jacobs) that I just never wore! I am determined to wear more things when I get my body back!

Marthasmama · 09/05/2009 22:02
  • I meant to say - I just buy pretty things and nothing goes with anything.
heather1980 · 09/05/2009 22:05

i am more a platinum white gold kind of girl actually, i don't really do yellow gold.

Marthasmama · 09/05/2009 22:10

Good lass, platinum is the best metal. My wedding and engagement rings are platinum. I'll do some more looking.....

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2009 22:11

Actually these would go.

Or these in the sale but only a couple of sizes left.

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 09/05/2009 22:16

These? These are very pretty

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2009 22:17

I think the words you were looking for there were 'over the top' rather than 'pretty' MM .

Mmmmmm beautiful.

Marthasmama · 09/05/2009 22:22

CSWS - See, I am such a magpie. I was thinking, heh heh heh, our tastes are so different that it is funny we both thought metallics! I love those shoes. I have these that DH bought for me.

Thanks Myjob- I'm sure you're right. It's hard when you are out of it, I've got a few more months to go until I'm back so just need to focus on enjoying those. I'll be with the younger ones, 3.5yrs onwards.

Oh I do indeed Myjob! I was thinking exactly the same thing. A size 8 foot just has an incline where as tiny feet, like ours, are almost en pointe! PLatforms are the best as they look very high, but the platform at the front makes then easier to walk in. The robot shoes are SOOOOO high! I used to be able to run in heels, I walked down the North Downs in four inch heeled boots ffs. But now, anything more than two inches cripples me. I just need to practice again!

I bet I've made about 447 of the posts! M has not been sleeping well at night so has been having more kips during the day! That's my excuse any way.

bloody hell - hadn't realised quite how much we'd chatted!

Unfortunately I have very little choice in shoes, as my feet are too wide even for most 'wider fitting' ones. I mostly live in crocs these days, which I do appreciate are not attractive, but I need comfortable feet.

I went to clarks site because I was trying to offer heather possibilities that were easy to go and try on, and not ridiculously priced.

I do have some pink and chocolate shoes from R&B that I'm pretty certain you would like MM. Have had them a few years now so no link, but will photograph them for you sometime.
