ScorpiowithabigS · 17/03/2009 10:06

I'm sorry for this BUT

I have a PERIOD I sTill work!!!!!

LadyBee · 17/03/2009 12:51

Yay! It's a relief isn't it
Sad, but nice to know your body has recovered and hormones are back into their cycles etc.
I'm waiting to see whether my cycle is back or whether I'm going to be a bit topsy-turvy for a bit after my first one a few weeks ago.

We've got a charity booksale on here at work and I've just picked up about 6 lift-the-flap/pop-up/noisy books for b - yay! he loves books, it makes me very happy

Peachy · 17/03/2009 16:25

LOL Scorpio- I only had my first period since BAs ast month and heck that was blink and you'd miss it!

Appts were OK yesteray- Paed is requestinga referral to herslef and CAMHS for ds1 for anorexia as his BMI is low and he'd exercise obsessed which is a bit argh bt we're lucky that ds3 had an ppyt which means he's ahead of all queues now.

DS3 liked the teacher that visited him from the SNU and is going to visit there tomorrow; I say liked, what I mean is he wasn't bothered enbough to not like her as the busy day zoned him out so much.

Befriender lady from NAS seems nice, starts Sunday, ds1 took to her.

Mother's Day sunday isn't it? First one for lots of you. I am getting either red shoes or a coffee amchine, both salivated over LOL. Meeting my aprents for lunch at Clarks Village on Saturday which will be also.

I used to wear hotpants at college but thought I looked terribly fat, why is it you never realise until you're too old that actually you looked OK? . LOL.

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/03/2009 17:03

Goodness Peachy you are very busy with your children. Sorry to hear about ds1, lets hope he gets good help before anything becomes worse.

DH is going to Thailand over the time im fertile this month which will give me some lovely breathing space; I'm totally not sure about what to do, if i want a dc4, the worry, etc. I honestly don't know.

Peachy · 17/03/2009 17:05

WellScorpio I know you're getting on bu you've got sometime left hefore it's toolate you now LOL...... just go at a rate you're happy with

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/03/2009 18:05

I know Peachy,,,,,After all i am 24 years and 4 whole motnhs old, y'know.

ThePFJ · 18/03/2009 09:10

Morning all, I'm back!

DP has been at home for last few weeks and my computer time has been reduced as a result... (they do hog the puter don't they??! grr etc.)

Can't believe my first baby boy is nearly a whole year old.
Ellie I am looking into the nursery thing too.. but I won't be alllowed to leve Jack I need to be there with him the whole time if I use it until he is 3. Then he can stay without mummy.

Still not pregnant... although have had sudden outbreak of massive spots on MY FACE in last few days so am wondering if thats a sign I should get a preg test....(I don't get spots normally, well not since I was 18 anyways)

Missed you all, I am here all morning. Have put kettle on if anyone wants a cuppa...

xxx

VictorianSqualor · 18/03/2009 09:11

Hmm, congratulations on your period Scorpio

I have to say, although I really hate some of DP's shifts (like today's 8-6 the WORST shift in the world, leaves at 6:45 gets in at 7pm) I really like him having rest days.
Yesterday we went to view Panda's nursery (where he will be going until July when he will go to the CM), got DS1 from school, went to IKEA and then went out for dinner when we picked DD up from school (only the hungry horse but still). Only disappointment was that DP's burger was odd, it was pink inside but I didn't notice til he'd eaten most of it and then they said it's that way because they are bought in ready-cooked and pre-packaged and then they steam them Thank goodness I had lasagne! Also we got Panda one of the IKEA highchairs as his was yuck, it'd got ripped somehow and then he'd had an accident that had came out of his nappy and soiled the inside of the highchair pad BUT we got him a froggy bowl thing (DS1 had one at this age too) and it's supposed to use a suction grip, but it doesn't. Oh and I'm praying the weather is still like today on Saturday cos we got a massive roll of paper and we are going to do foot painting in the garden

Morning PFJ

OP posts:
ThePFJ · 18/03/2009 09:13

Oh yeah.. MOTHERS DAY..!!!!! My first one!
I am a MUMMY!!
Faint

Have been saying in passing EXTRA LOUD to my DP about how I am getting MY MOTHER a present. Hopefully this will get his brain working and he'll think to do something for me.... here's hoping anyway.

ThePFJ · 18/03/2009 09:14

Hi VS!!!

How are you??!

HUG

ThePFJ · 18/03/2009 09:18

Oooo can I do foot painting too!!!

VictorianSqualor · 18/03/2009 09:21

Lol PFJ.
I bet this mother's day I get a lie in and tea and toast in bed, same as every other year.
And getting other mother's presents doesn't work! I always get something nice for DP's mum, this year I got her a bottle of good Merlot and a gorgeous box of faritrade choccies that are in a kind of flat hat box, well, I really liked the box anyway
Bet I still don't get a present!

OP posts:
ThePFJ · 18/03/2009 09:24

Awwww.. that sucks VS. But I love the idea of lie in and breakfast in bed though.... I really really would... If I get at least that I'll be a happy girl. And a bunch of daffodils. And some chocolate. And a card.
And...

VictorianSqualor · 18/03/2009 09:25

Ha yes, I want daffodils.

OP posts:
ThePFJ · 18/03/2009 09:26

They are my favourites. Them and sunflowers.

VictorianSqualor · 18/03/2009 09:40

Oh and also, I'm shitting my pants.
I finalised the first bit of my first essay (it;s in two parts) last night and I'm worried it won't be good enough.

OP posts:
ThePFJ · 18/03/2009 09:53

Have decided to take Jack down to the nursery for a look this morning... wish us luck!!

LadyBee · 18/03/2009 10:32

Hello ThePFJ!

Ellie I was wondering whether you'd had any more sessions at the nursery? How are you?

I want to do foot painting too - so is that where you get big rolls of paper then, IKEA?

We're supposed to be at The Shops by now, but B had a bit of a meltdown and then pretty much fell asleep as I was changing him so he's having a nap and I'm spending the time effectively by getting everything together. Except I'm actually sitting have a cup of tea and looking at emails and MNing .

VictorianSqualor · 18/03/2009 10:36

Yeah, 30 metres for about £3 I think it was.

OP posts:
Peachy · 18/03/2009 10:46

VS if you a re really worried about that essay feel free to email it to me. I'm a good editor LOL. Oh we have one of those froggy bowls too, but he isn't arsed with it. Doesn't do characters / tv etc. Does do cats though. Loves 'em.

Currently waiting for saino man to bring me my shopping with nappies LOL as Bas smells and I used the last one an hour ago, hurry up shopping man! . Due by 11 though.

Passed house inspection yesterday yay and am now allowed to paint my bathrom turquoise: I love turquoise.

You should all be her in Wales for daffs- everywhere (including open in the garden now).

Oh as a little thing to amrk Bas's first birthday we got a 'New Arrival' rose today, to plant up in a container. . As he was born here its a special little thing to do that we can take with us if we go, which as it is rented we will have to do one day . Not for ages I hope.

EllieG · 18/03/2009 10:59

Hey all! Sorry to be a misery guts and leave the other day, I got a bit busy yesterday and every time I sat down to MN a child needed me. Most inconvenient.

VS - have decided I am not sure I ever want to meet you in RL - you do things like foot painting which sounds very like a good sort of energetic mummy. I only like mums who are as lazy as me as makes me feel better about my shoddy parenting LOL
Hope essay goes OK though

Hey PFJ - glad you are OK lady

Not been back to nursery yet - going tomorrow and leaving her there for an hour. A whole hour. Am I the only mummy going back to work full time yet? My Dad is having her 2 afternoons a week though, and I have worked out my flexi time means I can (most weeks anyway) take an afternoon off and finish early one other day if a couple of days I start at 7 am and work my lunches. though still. Every time I think am OK about it I look at her and it hits me how much I will miss her. I know is stupid, as is not like am not going to see her, but there you go.

EllieG · 18/03/2009 11:00

Oh and sorry peachy meant to say hope your DS1 gets sorted with paed and CAMHS. Have you been worried about him and food issues?

VictorianSqualor · 18/03/2009 11:58

Ellie although I'm not going to be working full-time alex will be in childcare pretty much all day three days a week and twice with DP(which is probably more dangerous)
At the nursery he is going to until he goes to the CM a full day is 8-6 and as some days I'll be taking him there and the kids to school before work I'll be dropping him off at about 8:15 and then getting him at about 3:30.
Only worked out yesterday that I'll be WALKING from our house to the nursery and then back to the school then another 5-10 minute walk to get the bus to work. Thankfully I will be getting a lift home every day so won't have to do the same journey as a return!!
In some ways it'll be nice, it's getting warmer and I used to really like walking DS1 to nursery, fresh air, exercise and an MP3 Maybe I'll finally lose some weight

As for the foot painting, it'll be the first time we ever did it!!

Peachy I've emailed that essay to you, forgot to say it's not allowed to be more than 500 words though. Thankyou!

We just got back from nursery, it was realy great!! Those toddlers can't half tidy up fast! o.O I was gobsmacked. One minute the room was a complete tip, and the next they put on some music and the room was cleared in seconds....

Jack had a great time and had lots of attention paid to him by the older toddlers. I am now taking him every Monday supervised with me for 3 hours. Also, found out there is a baby and toddler mums group here in Newton after all... as HV told me wasn't one and was next village over.. which I couldn't be arsed to go to. So tomorrow afternoon will be going to that as well.

Feel like a proper little socialite now. -looks proud-
