Miamla · 24/03/2009 21:04

oopsacoconut · 24/03/2009 21:09

maybe yours is but mine isn't

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/03/2009 21:10

Hi all,can you see me sqeezed on the edge I am breathing in a lot
took ages to catch up.
So sorry if I miss/forget.
dizzy hope you are feeling ok and sort things out. I always bottle things up and let things fester. Sometimes I keep it to myself, sometimes I explode weeks later.Poor dh then wonders what the hell is wrong.
I vow to always tell him what is wrong but very rarely do. I will always be this way.

pf so glad T is ok that must have been scary and heartbreaking to watch the nurse put it back into place.

sibh I hope you are ok too, did you get a doctor app. That sounds very worrying and scary. I suffer from migraines and it effects my vision terribly. I was on beta blockers for some time, but had to stop when I planned to get pregnant.
Hope you get some answers to what it is/was

buckets missed you, welcome back, sorry you still have cold too.

miamla hope his lip is ok, its awful when they are learning to walk and not fully balanced/co ordinated.

Lots of new hair dos going on.

I have noticed lots of small tufts of re growth very attractive somehow makes the new over priced hair do a waste of time and money.oh well.
Still coming out loads though.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/03/2009 21:17

See it took that long to type it is back to normal.

C feeling much better now although is now very loving and affectionate. Which I obviously love but it is very odd.

ds been very quite hard work recently. He just cries all most of the time. He is fine if carried everywhere, but as soon as I put him down he just cries.
Still got crackly chest and snot. I cannot believe he has had this since November. Getting beyond a joke and very tiring.

However I think I am having trouble filling him up. He had so much to eat at teatime he sit in his highchair for over an hour while I cooked and he even ate some of ours too.
He just sat with a glazed look.Dh said he must have been starving.
he is refusing most milk feeds most days too.

He is very nearly crawling, does very cute bunny hop movements, and pushes arms up so just hands and toes on floor. Can't sit very long though.

dizzydixies · 24/03/2009 21:17

mine neither oops

oopsacoconut · 24/03/2009 21:18

MINE IS NOT BACK TO NORMAL - AAAARGH

oopsacoconut · 24/03/2009 21:19

Miamla · 24/03/2009 21:21

has someone reported to MNHQ?

oopsacoconut · 24/03/2009 21:23

PetitFilou1 · 24/03/2009 21:23

Still squeezing in down the side here

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/03/2009 21:23

Ah tis fecked up again. Breathing in once more.
dizzy my dh attitude to Mday is I am not his mum so he doesnt need to get one for me. Dcs can't write yet so he doesn't need to get one from them. However he wasnt silly enough to not get one from dcs really. He said he didnt get me a gift as he just payed for my car insurance, paid to fix lap top and paid for my holiday mini break in a few weeks. Ok so thats good, dont want to sound like spoilt brat, but he would have paid for these things anyway.
I didnt want a gift,just a thought.
Maybe a lie in, or you dod agreat job..... but nadda,. He went out as ussual on a sunday and didnt get really drunk, but one to many, then he slept all afternoon.
I ran around all morning taking cards and gifts to my mum who was on her way out so then drove alway to my step mum, then back up to mums later then rushed back to do tea, for him to say oh not that hunry but ill eat it. aaaargghh and breathe..

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 22:53

Hi.

What the hell did ya'll do to MN? It's so very difficult to catch up like this.

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 22:54

Sazzles texted earlier that Savannah was fantastic. She'll be boarding the plane back to the UK tomorrow. It was an absolute joy to have her here in the states.

So who's next?

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 22:56

Guess I'll be bypassed for the France meet-up?? Honestly, I'd love to be wild and crazy enough to join all of you there. Would be a dream. I'll rephrase that...they'd have to knock me into a dream state to get me on the plane to get me over there.

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 22:57

Dizzy the Ergo carrier is one that I've had my eye on for over a year now. I've put it on and everything. After having the wrap though I'm not too sure I'd enjoy it. And Miamla is right about the price.

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 23:00

On the HAIR front, I have a haircut/color scheduled for Saturday. My hair has turned too red for me. Hopefully she can get it back to the ash blond I love.

As for my hair falling out, I loose loads and loads of hair. It's hard to believe I don't go bald. I don't though. KNOCK ON WOOD!!

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 23:02

Buckets I'd go ahead and offer your baby goods to SIL. Tell her it's best to see what she doesn't need before the shopping bug bites. Make sure you tell her what you're okay with her doing with things she really doesn't want. That takes the stress out of the transaction.

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 23:04

No1 your DH needs a swift kick in the ass. You MOTHERed his children. He OWES YOU alot. A small gift showing his appreciation, even if it's just a flower, would have been polite.

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 23:20

Dizzy your day sounds abit like my last few days. This return home from vacation has completely sucked.

Allow me to gripe...

Firstly I accidently underpaid my pet sitter. In my hurry out the door I wrote her a check for $120US. I "thought" her daily pet-sitting rate was the same has her hourly baby-sitting rate of $10US. I added 20% on to it in the hopes she'd do a incredible job. Seems the price is $15US per day so I shorted her $30US. Honestly that's not a big deal in my book PLUS other sitters I've had I paid AFTER I returned, not before. Well that's what I realized after I got home. BEFORE I got home...like Saturday the first day at the beach, I noticed her FB status said she was off to Nashville (2 hours away) for the weekend. WTF! I followed her status the entire weekend and she did not return home until LATE LATE Sunday evening. My instructions were to feed the cats every MORNING. Then on Thursday she posted on my FB wall, "When are you coming home or are you coming home?" I didn't think much about at the time and responded, "DD1 says we have 155 more days." Saturday two hours after we left the beach she texted asking if we were home. I responded not til Sunday is there a problem. She texted back no and that she just had checked her calendar. By this point I'm freaked and tell DH to just drive straight home (10 hours straight). The smell of poop was horrific when we got home. She'd not cleaned any of the litter boxes. None of the food bowls had food. She'd brought the mail it though. My neighbor said she'd seen her come by 3 different days ALL VERY LATE IN THE EVENING. I struggled with what to do and finally emailed her that I was going through receipts from the trip and noticed I'd paid her $120 and wondered if that was correct...and set a time for her to drop off my house key. She responded $120 was correct for 10 days, that her rate was $15 a day but not to worry. I appologized for my oversight and wrote her a check for the $30 difference and politely (smiles and all) exchanged it for my house key today.

This is the lady that is suppose to babysit for me in 8 days. NOT!!! DH said she can't take care of the cats...we'd be crazy to let her back our house to take care of the girls.

OMG!!!

And the worst part is I've known this lady for 20 years....I know her whole family. How crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay rant over. Thank you for allowing me to vent.

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 23:21

pictures....
I bet you all want to see pics of me and sazzles.

Off to attempt upload pics.

TwilightSurfer · 24/03/2009 23:27

Seems to be technical difficulties with uploading pictures. Will try again later.

I really missed everyone. Glad to be back!

Expectant · 25/03/2009 08:01

What's going on with this thread? A kindly friend bought me a bag of mini eggs back from the UK so having difficulty squeezing in having scoffed the lot.

TS - I can't believe that. We're so lucky our cat sitter spends 45 mins a day with our cats and sends us a text update after he's seen them to tell us how they are and what their stools are like (no idea why he decides to add this very important information). He hasn't sat for us for ages so when I called to ask him to sit when we come back to the UK next month he was delighted. They're fans of his too

Buckets - would be interested to read the article. I have regrowth that looks and feels like baby hair and looks like I'm growing some kind of weird fringe. One of my friends was still losing hers 10 months after her dd was born. The doctor gave her iron tablets and it stopped almost immediately.

sambo303triesforScotland · 25/03/2009 08:30

good grief are they trying to load the confused emoticon again? Toast crusts and clementine segments for breakfast here

nice to see you ts, glad you had a successful vacation, but very about your cat sitter - totally taking the p**s

no1 my ds is also missing feeds already, feel a bit about it but hoping he will soon miss the 2 in the night , hair also falling out loads here. I'm sure M will get well now the weather is getting nicer - bunny hops sound so cute

I can report ds rolled from back to front for the first time yesterday!

I am on a massive ' finish the decorating' drive now before ds starts crawling and I have even less time than I have now

dizzydixies · 25/03/2009 09:08

lovely to have you back TS
a full night sleep here , DD1 showered and off to school and I'm now tackling some soup and hopefully a topside of beef in the slowcooker

sun shining again so lets see if that can lift my mood a bit

sambo I too shall join you in the massive decorating drive, the living room is getting done first and hopefully before this christening

Steaknife · 25/03/2009 09:17

Blimey tis a squeeze on here today.
Well we survived maman et bebe yesterday.
Though Izzy wasn't very pleased to meet the other babies and would cry whether she was sat by me or on me so we had to go and sit by the side a bit.

I think maybe she was extra fretfut because she didn't get her morning nap. I'll go a bit later next week.

I was v excited because they had a rain stick - Izzy cried at it, so that's one purchase on hold.

In the afternoon we made Mansteak a birthday card for Friday, lots of messy hand and foot painiting.

Today is a lazy day, tomorrow MIL is teaching me to make fresh pasta as the Mansteak's prezzie is a pasta maker.

So quite an adventurous week so far.

As for hair, I didn't notice any difference when pregnant and maybe a bit more shedding now, but not handfulls. Reading and hearing about other folks experiences of pregnancy, birth and recovery I realise how lucky I was that everything went so smoothly for us, especially as the Spanish system was a complete nightmare.

There would be Bonne Maman chocolate and orange cake biscuits for brekker, but I ate them all last night - sorry
