Relocation is just the shitey 'catch-up' episodes that seem to make up half of the series these days Candleford wasn't on last week - am not sure if its finished and I dn't watch Holby sorry

I don't know what to suggest about the girls sorry, maybe its just the excitement of getting back to their own house?

poppysocks · 27/03/2009 21:46

Good work on the dishwasher dizzy. You should set up as a home appliance trouble shooter when you're ruling the cafe world.

I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open but have stuff to do tonight so am sending drooping eyelids your DDs' way sazzles. Hope they arrive before too long.

Great to hear there's so much growing going on in the pertelote household. Less good on the biting front. Same here. This is one of the reasons I think I'll probably start phasing the bf out soon. We have not only biting, but pinching. It's become her comfort and it's SO painful. I can hold one hand for a while but she soon gets agitated and pulls off and isn't happy until she starts again. Areola is covered in little cuts (and yes, nails are as short and neat as pos already). Any ideas anyone?

dizzydixies · 27/03/2009 21:50

poppy I tend to tuck one of Dylan's arms under her and fend off the other one as best I can. I told DH tonight if the biting didn't stop soon I'll have to consider phasing it out too but will deal with that once we come home from the emerald isle (too lazy to take the bottles etc)

x post sazzles M does that too. I am sure he is not hungry ay night and half is habbit, on my part too as i just offer to prevent crying in case it wakes dd.
I keep getting told to offer water instead, but would feel awful if he was really hungry.

poppysocks · 27/03/2009 22:05

Glad you're having a good night No1

Thanks for the thought/sympathy. I try to keep as much flesh concealed too, but she just goes underneath. Also try the keeping her hands away thing too, but somehow she's decided it's essential . It sort of reminds me of the sort of kneading theat cats sometimes do with their claws when happily ensconsed on a lap. Apparently it helps to get the milk moving when they're suckling kittens, so have wondered if there's a human similarity. And then been distracted by an ouch moment.

Hope he sleeps through

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 27/03/2009 22:10

aww *poppy I love that thought, and sure i have read summat similar.
Marcus strokes his hand around in a circular motion from start of feed to end on my boob. very sweet, however he has just dome it when having the bottle. Felt quite as he his hand was going round in circles on the side of the bottle.

ataraxis · 27/03/2009 22:12

Evening ladies,

Can't believe that T is 6 tomorrow. Oh my goodness... we are off to Crealy for the day we have a minibus so 11 people going, I threatened the boys with 'if you don't stay in bed and go straight to sleep you will be going to grandma's and not Crealy' tonight - they were both asleep by 7.30 shame I can't use it more often [evilmum]. Please all dance to the the 'itwillnotraingod' for me...

dizzy hope your tooth is ok

poppy at being ID'd. I reckon I qualify more for 10 years younger at the moment

no1 3 glasses and I reckon I would be asleep! Well done you for being able to type...

ataraxis · 27/03/2009 22:27

Thank you . Off to bed now, reckon DS1 will be up at 6, he is normally the first one up at the weekend, I suspect tomorrow will be no exception, except that he will be even earlier than normal...

Sorry I have missed a bit of chat and also quite tipsy so it's taking me twice as long to type cos I have to keep going back and respelling stuff properly

My DS is a biter too, mainly when he's not really hungry. I unlatch him and say no no no, he beams at me with the most adorable grin so it's hard to be cross

Sazz good to have you back

Dizzy hope the root canal work has done the trick [fingers crossed]

Ataraxis hope you have a lovely day tomorrow

Poppy wow it's a long time since I was ID'd for booze. I imagine the thrill of being thought too young is not sufficient to compensate for not being allowed to buy drink, or is that just me?

Pertelote I'm to hear that M is thriving

No1 where are the pics of your new haircut??? I need inspiration!

Steaknife · 27/03/2009 22:56

Phew, more or less caught up.

Atraxis would you be in Devonshire then? I was at school in dem der parts and Matersteak still resides in the shire.

No teeth over here and blardy glad of it too, though I did have a potentially embarassing let down response today in French class when the Argentinian girl started feeding her 6m old. Fortunately I was fully padded up so it was only me that knew.

Poppy I was carded when I was 30 ish in the sainsbugs in East Ham, very embarassing as had no id on me. It wasn't the fact that she thought I didn't look 18 as much as the fact that I knew at 18 I looked about 15 [double blush]

A few months later I was carded for fags in the Tescos petrol station at my mums - werent' even for me but for my older brother. GAH when I was a teen drinker I never got carded. [what is the world coming to emoticon]

And now if I don't go to sleep I will be being asked for my oap id rather than anything else.

Night night.

Steaknife · 27/03/2009 23:07

Blimey just realised that you will all be in a new tent come tomorrow.

hotterpotter · 27/03/2009 23:14

Crikey yes it has taken two weeks to fill this thread must be because TS and Sazzles were away

Better go to bed too, it's my turn to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Also have had feedback from my boss and my example of 'building constructive working relationships' () doesn't pass muster so I will have to think of another one

Night all!
