aagghh you scared me then

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/03/2009 20:26

Hope she sleeps through for you that is a fair amount. Bless her.
Sadly ds ate a lot yesterday and was shoving the pasta in but still woke twice
3 meals a day, most days. god knows how many bf.

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 14/03/2009 20:43

Yes DD has increased her BF and is eating 2 or 3 meals a day! Still no sleep if anything solids have made her sleeping worse

Am off to have a huge deep bath.. Enjoy your red.

Oops Pasta with curry sauce??? I consider myself quite openminded re food combo innovation (technical term, that) but the thought of curry and pasta makes me heave for some reason!

Waiting for DH to come home with my dinner. Was jealous because he was having an early curry with friends and I am stuck home so I texted him my order from McDonalds on the way home! Oh wondrous modern technology.

Hi KentDee, nice to meet you .

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 14/03/2009 20:47

Buckets - I had left over korma sauce from yesterday and needed something to bulk it out that she could feed herself. it wasn't too bad honest.

Two parties in one day No1 you are a brave woman Perhaps all the excitement will encourage your DS to sleep . I have given up trying to guess whether my DS will sleep or not, have even started to take a kind of perverse masochistic pleasure in relating my rubbish nights to anyone who will listen

Oops I hope you have a lovely bath, sounds like a grand idea. And come on both of you, spill the new hair details please

Wine o'clock here too, cheers.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/03/2009 21:21

sadly ds has been screaming for over half hour, he is now awake in his cot not happy, but not screaming. I thought I would try not automatically offering boob as he had big feed 3 hours ago. I caved in after 20 min, and he had a few sucks then lost interest so not hungry then. Think must be teeth.
off now as he has started agian.

night ladies.
xx

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/03/2009 21:21

that meant to say he last fed 2 hours ago not 3.

cyteen · 14/03/2009 21:25

CC I forgot to say that clearly the survey guy is an imbecile and with eyesight that bad I wouldn't trust him to make tea, let alone conduct a survey of your house. You are gorgeous and full of life, he is sad and shrivelled and has a tiny penis. Erase him from your mind - thus!

oops an impressive showing from the young coconut there. DS is still hoovering up food with gusto despite his poorly lower regions - he cried when I wasn't fast enough to give him a bit of beef off my plate at lunchtime Then he cried because it got stuck to the roof of his mouth after he'd sucked the life out of it. I had to fish it out which was a bit nervewracking. Lesson learned: chicken is masticable, beef is not.

no1 no wonder you're wrung out. We spent an hour at a kids' party last weekend and were knackered after that Enjoy your wine.

hotter I know the feeling re. sleep. DS has awoken, wailing, once more tonight after going down quite happily a couple of hours ago...I hope this unsettled period is just because of his bad tummy and not a new thing as long-term we can't spend every night traipsing back and forth up the stairs.

At last, I have a new haircut! Will try and stick a photo up when my camera decides to behave itself. Props to my friend who bravely looked after Joe while I was being primped. Apparently he lasted a while before dissolving into tearful howling. I felt very bad for her but hey, at least my hair looks great.

hotterpotter · 14/03/2009 21:25

Oh No1 I hope he zonks out soon .

An update for you non-fbers, I think it's from Pertelotes SIL:

UPDATE: Darling Marianne has proved her strength: She was moved from ICU to medium intensity ward within 36 hours of op, & were it not for lack of bed space, would have been transfered to a normal ward.
Parents tired but encouraged by progress.

Fantastic news

Miamla · 14/03/2009 23:06

that's absolutely brilliant about Marianne!! thanks for posting on here hotpot, i didn't see it on FB

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 02:34

HOORAY!! What wonderful news about Marianne!

Hi All.
Sazzles and I are firmly planted at the beach now. She and her DH are in the room just below me so I hope I'm MNing quietly. We've all had busy days traveling. She is AMAZING. Our girls clicked immediately. I'm hoping dd1 isn't a bad influence on her dd1. Reese and Emma chatted away about their life's stories while sharing a playpen this evening. I just realized (while uploading pics to FB) that we didn't snap any photos this evening of us or the girls. Sorry. No worries thought because we have 6 more days to fix that problem.

Oops thanks for creating the new thread. It is beautiful. MNing on my blackberry is a nightmare. Thank goodness for laptops!!

I will attempt to read through the last two days of the old thread. If there's anything pressing please point it out to me here.

Otherwise, I hope all are sleeping soundly. {{hugs}} and salt water taffy

Night!

Happy Birthday Sibh!!
This one is store bought so it probably doesn't taste as good as Miamla's. I wasn't sure but decided on the Carrot Cake. It looked too good to pass up.
TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 02:45

Morning all. Happy birthday Sibh. March baby just like me! Mine is next wed..... getting old now.

To answer your questions.... Im finding motherhood exciting, exhausting, enjoyable, and most of all very rewarding. Just wish DD slept more in the night! Where is everyone living then? Im in kent but used to live in Wimbledon.

hotterpotter · 15/03/2009 07:43

Hi KentDee you will find a few of us here also with babies who really should be sleeping more but don't and prefer to send their mothers round the bend instead! I have a 3-year old DD as well as my August DS, she was a brilliant sleeper so this is all a shock for me

Oh, am a Yorkshire lass

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/03/2009 08:32

Yeah Marcus slept till 7 am omg
ok he woke at 9ish for an hour but still yeah
Sadly dd was in my bed moaning every hour dreaming I think. feel great this am.

ts glad you and *sazzles landed safely.

SibhaShillelaghUnderYourArm · 15/03/2009 08:37

Wow, two cakes. I'm spoilt girls.
Thanks so much.

And truly wonderful news about Marianne.
She has the full power of Aug08 behind her (she is one of our August babies, KentDee, in Great Ormond Street after a heart operation)

I had been quietly thinking to myself that while DH had to work yesterday, I would have really liked a birthday with a cheesecake, a massage and a walk on the beach. It's not like me to get all 'I-wanty' but I had a bout of it).

Anyway, DH wangled time off for the walk, bought a cheesecake and suggested I book a massage for myself at some stage. That man is psychic about presents. Also, I got a very lovely cake-book stand and a rather fab bottle of wine which we couldn't finish due to being complete wusses these days ...

DS and DD1 one had separate and glamorous tantrums for no reason, but that will pass.

KentDee, I used live in Colliers Wood a very long time ago, but I'm in West Cork now. It's a good time to join the list really because with TwilightSurfer and Sazzles on holiday together, the list won't hit warp speed again for a week or so ...

Your initiation will be complete when Dizzy offers you some arnica.

Dizzy, did you have a great day yesterday?

alittlebitshy · 15/03/2009 09:18

Morning. yum oops ta for the brekker.

Yawn. 2 wake ups but 3 feeds . first time i fed him then he slept.... for, ohh all of another couple of hours; second time he screamed at dh, so i fed him and put him down. he screamed some more, so dh cuddled him. he screamed more so i got out the nurofen . then i fed him, but he screamed afterwards so dh cuddled him again. argh. He then slept from about 3 til half 8 but poor dh was on the 8am service so had to get up at 6.15. I dozed a bit but had one ear open for dd.....

Dd had a party yesterday which i took her too without ds. was lovely cos it was at a sports club (a david lloyd ) and all the mums just went and sat and drank coffee and moaned about the class teacher gossiped. At the end it was a bit hairy though as, in the party bags were big conical party poppers. the birthday boy is one of those v boisterous but lovely boys and somehow one went off in his eye. No idea how he is - have emailed the mum, but it was scary and dd was scared as was i....

GreenGardenia · 15/03/2009 10:07
Angry
LoveBuckets · 15/03/2009 10:39

Ooh Bobbled Iggs and soldiers, lovely, thanks Oops.
DH didn't get back til gone midnight so I didn't get my McDonalds dinner last night. I said 'since when did being asleep have anything to do with burgerability?'

Kentdee, I'm from Southampton, think me and Ataraxis are the furthest South?

GreenGardenia · 15/03/2009 10:46

Sorry about that angry thing it was an accident.
