Morning all

kentDee I'm a London girl but am living in Leicester just now...oh, and my DS hasn't heard about sleeping through either

Sibh hooray for your birthday wishes coming true. You must have been sending some strong mental vibes.

It's a gorgeous sunny morning here and so far I have vacuumed, stripped the bed, washed and hung out a load of laundry, made drop scones for breakfast (yum) and baked a pan of savoury flapjacks for handy BLW food on the go.

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 11:40

Welcome KentDee! Don't listen to these ladies. It's not mine nor Sazzles fault the thread moves so fast.

VG why so green? I didn't think your red face was angry...just thought you got a little too much sun.

Time for breakfast. Sazzles already has the kitchen light on.

hotterpotter · 15/03/2009 13:55

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday.

So far DS has only slept for 15 minutes despite being up since 6.30 . Usually he's had at least two hours by now, he doesn't even look tired . Help!

hotterpotter · 15/03/2009 14:00

Also meant to say that Sibh your birthday sounds lovely . I'd love to go for a walk on the beach but the nearest one is a 2-hour £30 train ride away .

Buckets poor you not getting your McD's. I hope he's made it up to you today

CaptainCaveman · 15/03/2009 14:12

Happy Birthday Sibh, hope you have a fantastic day.

CYteen lol at the man having a tiny penis. Thanks for your lovely words too

kentdee hello! and welcome!! It's lovely to have you join us. I'm in Nottingham with ds1 4.10 and ds2 7mo (oh, and dh, of course!)

TS your photos look great. Am very of you and Sazz.

We've been proper tidying today. It's scary.

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 15:34

I will let Sazzles describe my reaction to Maramite. LOL!

Miamla · 15/03/2009 15:54

oops i'd rather not have an egg laid by your mum if that's ok by you!

hi all, i'm shattered. pil still here i'm going back to hide do my duties in the kitchen

Miamla · 15/03/2009 15:54

*TS marmite is truly vile!

alittlebitshy · 15/03/2009 16:23

no, marmite is goooood.

AnnVan · 15/03/2009 17:16

Yuk. Marmite is truly disgusting! Can't stand the stuff.

Hello all. Had a lovely night last night. DP and I went to tgi's and ate too much Also drank waaaay too many cocktails So definitely fun. We were cheeky and didn't collect Seb from SIL Only weird point was when MIL and her DP turned up. They knew we were going there. We were a little worried they would get the table next to us, but thankfully they didn't.
DP has gone to the shops, and has taken Seb with him so that I can have a bit of quiet. Bliss.

Great to hear the news about Marianne too.

cyteen · 15/03/2009 17:28

Marmite mings. DP and I are locked in a constant battle over Marmite vs peanut butter.

DS is ravenous today! Drop scones for breakfast, roast chicken for lunch and milk galore. He's loads cheerier too so am hoping his virus thing is passing off at last

cyteen · 15/03/2009 17:33

Picture of new hair do now on profile

alittlebitshy · 15/03/2009 17:36

I think ds has another ear infection. When i kiss him on one side he holws - and that's what alerted me to the last one. Will see how he is in the morning, but i feel the poor littlr man is like me and getting too many of the darn things

we went for chinese at lunchtime. ds had a few bits of prawn cracker, some cucumber from our crispy duck and some plain rice (plus his puree lunch). we all had a lovely time.

ann how much ebm do you leve when you're leaving seb over night (you've left him with mil before haven't you?)? My ds went beserk last time we wen tout and he woke up before we got home and my mum went into him we left dd with my parents at 9 months for 2 nights - cannot imagine doing so with ds. dd was ff by then plus she was so much more willing to be with other people than my poor little clingy boy . I feel guilty that we left dd now..... being a mummy is full of guilt isn't it?

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 18:26

Cyteen, your new do looks wonderful. From the smile on your face I believe you feel wonderful with it.

Taking a sun break. Correction...taking an overcast and hazy break. It's still very very nice. The normally calm gulf is filled with small white-capped waves.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/03/2009 19:18

kentdee I am also a yorkshire lass. I have a dd 2 yrs and ds 6 and a half months.

cyteen love the hair, I wasn't brave enough to have it all chopped, but had a decent amount off as was v.long will upload pics when I get chance.

albs your poor little man, hope it is not another ear infection.
yes I am always feeling guilty about something.

ann so glad you had good night, and got a bit of you time too.

btw I love love love marmite. so does dd and ds.

ts and sazzles I am very
hope the girls are getting on

buckets sorry you didnt get your food.

lol at the mum laying egg
vg are you ok???

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/03/2009 19:26

Lovely day here today, so I decided to walk to my dads. took me about an hour. ts will be proud.
However dd chucked lost her teddy out of the pram on the way down.

which she has had since she was born and takes to bed, carries everywhere.
I passed some boys on bikes and decided to ask if they were going back up where I thought I lost it would they maybe put it on the wall or take my number and call me.
They offered straight away to go get it as they had seen it.
bless them, they went quite a way back for it, and the hill is very very steep. I waited and they came back and said it had gone.
I nearly cried.dd was asking for it and starting to get upset.
I text my sister who was most sympathetic and advised me to put up an ad in shop window.

later on at my dads she text me a pic of her new puppy, however my phone is not yet set up to recieve pics {lazy emoticon} so I have to go online to view.
My dad set up laptop and I was like dont bother just for that I will look when I get home.
He insisted so we click on it and its a picture of dd teddy
she had gone looking for it for me with the kids and someone had sat it on the seat at the bus stop.
Funniest thing she ever saw

sorry that was quite long wasnt it.

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 19:50

No1 that is a great story.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/03/2009 19:52

thanks ts so what are you up to then??

ataraxis · 15/03/2009 19:53

Hi all, hope you had lovely weekends , we did loads of outdoor stuff, which was great.

Fantastic news about Marianne!

cyteen, really like the hairdo.

Hi KentDee, I live in Somerset (via a few places including 5 years in London). DD is my third with 2 DS's aged 5 (6 in a couple of weeks) and 4 (last week).

My little textbook child has started sitting up as she passes the 6 month mark... I am very of those of you with eat anything children, this one will taste anything but blows raspberrys for anything she doesn't like, which seems to be more and more. Mind you, she does like pizza crust and garlic bread

Happy Birthday Sibh!

Hi ts and sazz, good to hear you are having fun!

Marmite = yuuuum

ataraxis · 15/03/2009 19:57

ah no1, that's lovely. It's things like that that make you remember there are loads of good people out there really

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 20:01

Hey No1. I just uploading pics and videos to fb for my dad to see. He's bummed because the weather in Hawaii has been cold for the past few days. BOO HOO HOO for HIM

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2009 20:02

Ataraxis that cool. Reese did the same thing this morning. She sat up all by herself. Totally floored me.

ataraxis · 15/03/2009 20:06

ts, how fantastic!

dd has spent the last couple of days with ds2 in stitches as she sits (put, not by herself) and eventually tumbles over. Very sweet today with the two of them giggling at each other. I haven't heard her laugh for anyone else but him. Am of my 4 yo making his sister laugh

CaptainCaveman · 15/03/2009 20:08

marmite does indeed = yumm yumm yumm

Oliver has gone in to his own room tonight! Am sure I will be regretting it come morning, but I thought it would be good for him to get used to being on his own before we move house, so that when we do move he isn't totally freaked out
Am praying he gets on ok, and starts sleeping through......ho ho ho, I do like a little joke

Gotta shoot, I promised ds1 a cuddle in bed...

PetitFilou1 · 15/03/2009 20:23

Very Very tired so just here to say that marmite is great and will be back tomorrow
