PetitFilou1 · 24/03/2009 15:01

dizzydixies · 24/03/2009 15:03

lol at you all telling me to stay inside, am beginning to wonder whether I really should or not?!? lovely friend phoned to say she would take DD1 to her class along with her DD to save me lugging the younger two as well - haven't left the house and its improved already

To take your mind off it - a boy name to go with Felix, Georgia and Pollyanna please

My friend's CVS results and two scans are fine so the very bad stats seem to have been down to an infection - very happy for them

dizzy listen to VG, she speaks the truth - you have such a loving relationship with your DH, he will probably be horrified to know you're feeling so hurt by his inaction and will hopefully make ten times the effort to make up for it

pf I am most of your enjoyably broken nights...spring is most definitely sproinging in our house but somehow there always seems to be a cat or a small child between us

Buckets welcome back! Porridge cake here - I made it with orange juice instead of milk and baby porridge instead of weetabix this time, and they've turned out just as good

Will track down the lentil burger recipe in a bit.

Re. hair, mine has never looked so thick and lustrous as it did during pregnancy. Unfortunately all the extra stuff fell out in handfuls shortly after Joe was born and the loss has only just started coming back to normal levels. I certainly had a few attacks of the fear, wondering whether I was going bald.

alittlebitshy · 24/03/2009 17:24

cyteen - been looking at the BLW site you keep linking too (is that aitch's one?). recipes divine!!!!! mmm, must try some.

LoveBuckets · 24/03/2009 17:49

Thanks Cyteen. OJ might be a good idea as he has v sweet tooth, I had to buy fruity chicken, pork and apple, etc jars on holiday.

Hotter Well done fighting the fear re hairdressers, I went through a phase of that when I was younger (maybe something to do with the David-Bowie-Man-who-fell-to-Earth colouring a chap at Vidal Sassoon Academy gave me though.)

PF PMSL at being being offended.

DH's SIL (iyswim) is 3m pg apparently, I so knew it!!! We saw them beg of Feb and she had a sickbug - yeah right! At what stage is it appropriate for me to offload the binbags full of maternity and BF tops I've been saving for her? Bear in mind I barely know her despite only living 10m away, we just haven't clicked really. I've been waiting for this baby so we'll have something in common and I can pluck up courage to invite her out sans hommes. Grr if she'd just get on Facebook..

PetitFilou1 · 24/03/2009 18:06

buckets phew!

dizzy love the names and will pass them on

dizzydixies · 24/03/2009 18:40

buckets maybe she feels the same way, can you not drop her a text saying that you've all this stuff if she'd like it and you're delighted about the baby - congrats on being an aunt I think

cyteen and VG I know you're right, I absolutely understand that he is not a mind reader but we have this conversation practically on every single occassion . I just hoped this time he'd realise how down I was and step up to the mark without having to be nagged/guided into it. Shall suck it up and get over it as am sure this is making me more depressed and miserable than I was in the bloody first place

DD1's parent night went well (although I had to take all 3 kids as DH got held up at work) and her teacher described her as an absolute delight and a joy to have in class

ROFL could you imagine, poor bloke - am already ashamed for bitching talking about him on here poor sod

dizzydixies · 24/03/2009 18:53

and on that note I had better go and collect eldest dixie from rainbows!!

PetitFilou1 · 24/03/2009 19:16

I got that too dizzy about ds1 - it makes you feel you might be doing something right doesn't it

buckets If she's had her scan I think its fine to start offering her to have a look through your stuff

My eldest two have been amusing today
We've had the following
ds1: Monkeys eat bananas. and guavas.
dd: No, guavas climb trees and eat leaves (cue me trying not to laugh)

and this evening

dd tries to pee in to the loo like ds1
dh says 'you don't have a willy dd, you have to sit down'
dd 'yes but I will have when I'm a boy'
dh 'you won't ever be a boy dd'
dd 'yes I will if I eat something blue'

or maybe they were just funny to me

LoveBuckets · 24/03/2009 19:42

Good work Dixie Major.

LOL excellent powers of deduction there actually, she's got a good brain hasn't she?
My DD is currently trying to shoehorn the word boobs into every sentence which was amusing once but is now v tedious.

I think Marcus, Theodore and Dominic would go v nicely with those names btw.

DH has an interview for branch transfer nearer here which is our dream come true. But it's on hairdresser day so non-greyness will have to wait for me to rearrange grr.

PetitFilou1 · 24/03/2009 20:20

buckets we have the same with ds1 and the words 'butt', 'willy', 'stinky pants' etc etc yaaaaaaaawn however at least girls grow out of this phase.....

Good luck to your dh - can you get a mobile hairdresser to come to sort out greyness?

oopsacoconut · 24/03/2009 20:27

Is it just my screen or is everyones text squashed into the right hand column???

PetitFilou1 · 24/03/2009 20:28
