no1 etsy is very easy.
Create an account, to be a seller you need an active CC (credit card, not Captain Cavemean)
When you create your account best to choose a username that you would call your shop, mine is Summerlandcreative, as you can't change it later.
After that you use their shop template and away you go. If you can use blogger or ebay then it isn't much more difficult than that as everything is done via templates.
Listing a product costs 20 US cents and the listing is valid for 3 months. Etsy also take 3.5% of the final sale price.

They have forums and community pages with tons of info and ideas and you don't have to be a member to read them.
There community there is great there are also teams which are sellers with similar interests/locations etc - so I am a Fabulous Artistic Mum (at least I try) and in the Eeropean Street team.
but you do need to do quite a bit of promotion to get the sales - forum posting, blog posting , shameless self-promotion on mumsnet! Also you need to get to grips with photos so that you stand out.
But it doesn't cost much just to test the water. There are also some european sites that are similar Dwanda and Not on the High Street
