Right I am done for the night - all the filler bits have been sanded down and the woodwork has been dusted and wiped ready for painting tomorrow. I am ashamed to say that since we moved into the house 7 years ago, the room has been nothing but a storage/laundry room that hardly ever got dusted so it was pretty disgusting
Rutho thanks for the tips. I am painting it rather than wallpapering and I have bought one of those Paintpod things which basically you press a button on the roller and the paint magically appears (or something!) - hope it is as easy to use as it looks! As for the decorating/children business, (and without meaning to sound smug so I apologise in advance if it does ) but my 2 boys are very good sleepers - they are both in bed by 7.30 and 99% of the time, I won't hear another peep out of them all evening which means I have the entire evening to use. Also, Sam has 2 long naps (one in the morning and one after lunch) so, tomorrow when DS1 is at nursery, I am going to try and use Sams naps to get most of it done - and the rest of the time, he can sit in his bouncy chair on the landing and watch - although this will require a dummy as he really is not keen on his chair for long periods - but I am hoping to have it all done in the next 2 days (best laid plans.....)
I really wish DH was here to do it but it is just bad timing....and compared to people like Ellie, at least my DH is only away 2 or 3 nights at a time - I have total respect for Ellie and I can imagine how hard it must be as you near the end!! DH was away for 4 nights last week and by Friday evening, I was ready to hand the kids over to him and crack open the wine
Congrats to all the new 'rollers' No sign here of any rolling action and tbh, when I put Sam on his tummy, he really struggles to lift and keep his head up so even if he could roll, he would end up just lying flat on his face!! I know you shouldn't compare children but by 19 weeks, DS1 was rolling over constantly (once he mastered it he would not lie on his back at all) and would lie on the floor on his tummy with his head held really steady and high - Sam is totally different!!
Phee re bottle-feeding, Sam is 19 weeks on Thursday and at last weigh in (2 weeks ago) he was 14lb 12oz and he has 4 9oz bottles - at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm. No food here yet...he is not ready
