Hana, you are of course, soooooo right. I finished my list. and then I rang my husband.
To tell him that I "love him so much I don't know what to do with myself. and that once he could breathe again(he has bad bad flu) maybe he would like to get 'jiggy with it' again. And thank him for being so understanding and sorting out all the car crash shit. and that I totally loved him"
Job done. I feel better already.

Hana, 'fraid not ours is numerous/plentiful, but with long droughts inbetween. not good.
Thus, not able to give advice to anyone else at all !!

Oblomov · 11/03/2009 10:20

Men mars women venus, says dh will come out of his cave when good and ready. do not entice him out. and then when he does, get jiggy with him.
Has that ever worked for you before? or is that a load of ole tosh ?

ds2 has not had his mid morning bf and i will be late if I am not carefull. this is one of the reasons why I keep having car prangs. why do I do this to myself.
I really need to sort this timetable. and stop rushing. I REALLY don't know how to sort it though.

Hi all

Choc loving the new thread title!!

MonkeyM - J is thriving on the purees and didn't take to the hungry baby milk i tried him on and he is such a tall skinny one 12lb 5oz at 18 weeks that I needed to get something in him!

I bought J a Chicco highchair from Mothercare which is suitable from birth (it recline and has loads of padding) and he loves it! He's like King J when he's in it!

I'm also sending a big hug to obs as it sounds like you need one

Hi to everyone else and welcome Ilovespagbol

xx

ChocOrange05 · 11/03/2009 11:22

Morning all

Obs glad your call to DH made you feel better - what a lovely call that must have been . My DH is wonderful and I feel very lucky to have married such a star. Oh he's certainly not perfect and we have our arguments (as we are both very stubborn!) but I couldn't ask for a better man.

Speaking of men - my little man is puking everywhere today . Obs remember when we were at lunch and your M was being very sicky too and I said that I thought after a growth spurt sometimes they still took in lots of milk even when they don't need it anymore - well that was just a guess but as M must have finished his 16 week growth spurt by now (or I hope so as he slept through last 2 nights) maybe thats why he is being very sicky yesterday and today?? Am I talking rubbish wise ladies??

Hana the concept of writing without thinking is really good - I have done that before and its amazing what comes out. My mum is a psychotherapist so I was a very talk about your feelings kind of child. Sometimes its a bit annoying though - like when I say I have toothache and she asks if there is anything bothering me - yes, my bloody teeth!

Well - I am going to feed my little man again, he'll probably puke it all up over me but hopefully some will stay down! Although I am GF-ing I actually do split feeds all day because he has always been quite sicky I find it helps a bit. So basically I feed one breast at the GF times then have a 15-20 min break before offering the other - it makes feeding time quite long but it works for us.

Hi everyone, not read everything yet, got my dad here as he is taking my car to get new tires. I have to admit I am very spoilt as he will prob pay for them too even though I don't really want or need him to!

Can I ask if anyone has the ingelsina zuma high chair? I really like the look of it and has a removeable tray so you have the option of using it or your dining table. The only thing is it looks like the tray sits a bit far out so lots would get dropped on lap. Experience of this anyone?

Well done on those sleeping through, no such luck here yet. Routine has gone all to pot today as E slept from 10.30-4.30 so wasn't interested in his morning feed! Got a feeling he is just going to snack all day now with no proper naps! Hey ho, tomorrows another day!

hana I'd definately ask for gynae referral, my gp had to snip one of my stitches at 8 week check and now the pain has gone. Hopefully it will be as east for you.

Right off to properly catch up

chocolategal · 11/03/2009 11:41

Apologies for typos, tend to do all my MNing from mobile these days which isn't as user friendly as laptop!

ChocOrange05 · 11/03/2009 12:06

I am gutted - I really want to get the Phil and Teds Me Too highchair as I really like that they are basically sitting at the table but apparently a whole cargo carrier of them fell into the sea somewhere near china so there aren't any in the UK at the moment . I really want to get M used to sitting in it before weaning so not sure what to do now.

Just a quick one as I should be doing jobs!

I went to my first baby group today and I really enjoyed talking to other mums etc. Wish I had gone weeks ago!

We have the Chicco Polly highchair and have been using it for a few weeks. As it lies down we sit Becca in it when we have our dinner and breakfast so that she is with us in the dning room. Its very padded. I think it would be good for you Blw'ers as it has a tray to go on the tray that you remove so you could use that as a giant plate!! The only thing is it is quite chunky! Doesn't everyone rave about those Ikea highchairs for when they are a bit bigger and can sit up, there about £12?

Excuse my ramble!

Rosa · 11/03/2009 13:52

FOUnd you all - lovely title. Had a busy weekend with dd1 birthday party all went well and then minirosa has still been pooing green and beena bit upside down in routines/ feeding wanting to go on the boob to stimulate a poo . Called the out of hours paed on Sunday to check if she could have her jabs on MOnday they said yes. Monday went there and the clinic said no. Then Tues took to baby clinic and she had not put on any weight so called her doc who wanted to see her and a nappy ( yummy!). Took her last night and he said some form of intestinal bug . He has given her a formula which has probotics and anti diarrhoea in it - I was / am a bit at that as he said that after she has had this 2 x100ml a day it might be best to put her onto some formula - thing is m rosa was screaming at this point so I diddn't take much in. Have to talk to him in the morning but she is still pooing green .
Daisy thinking about you for tom and fingers crossed you won't be too uncomfortable.

ilovespagbol · 11/03/2009 14:07

oblomov just posted on the old thread, am with you, eg yesterday was overwhelming why won't DD sleep in the day too much to do kind of day, today, DD slept for an hour and ten minutes, minor miracle and all the washing done so feel on top of things. never thought i would be happy at piles of clean washing.

phee96 · 11/03/2009 15:08

Hi everyone, LOVE the new thread title

Have been trying to catch up but I'm sure I've missed loads

Lacks hope the op goes well

Rosa I hope minirosa feels better soon

I had A weighed before her jabs yesterday and she is now 11lb 5oz at 14+2. She has gained a total of 2lb 1oz since she was born She was on the 25th centile at birth and is now nearer to the 9th centile. The HV didn't seem overly concerned but it will be reviewed in a couple of weeks but it's got me a bit worried

Highchairs - we have this one Ava sometimes sits in it if she is awake when we are eating and seems perfectly happy in it

Oblomov · 11/03/2009 15:38

Good Luck for Op Daisy

tegan · 11/03/2009 15:39

vbab78 · 11/03/2009 19:14

shit missed the link post so been posting on old thread and missed loads so loads of reading to do!
AM POST: ALYSSA SLEPT THROUGH FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER CHANGING HER TO THE NEXT STAGE MILK YESTERDAY. Just hope it continues and wasnt because she had her 3rd lot of injections hmm. But they have never made her more sleepy so fingers crossed. She did 7/7.30pm until 7 and she's 17wk. Sorry I will shut up now. Me and DH were in shock this morning when were quizzing each other if we had got up in the night.
LUNCH TIME POST: ilovespagbol - you are not a wuss unless that makes me one aswell. I seem to be for the most part crying, putting on a brave face, laughing for DS & A amusement when depressed really, exhausted or exhuasted and depressed.
DS is currently crying and screaming, has been for at least 2 hours. Tried everything dont know what is wrong with him. All started over me telling him "no" when he wanted a dvd on again. So close to just walking out. Bad mum I know and I hate myself for it and my -ve thoughts and words about him. But i've honestly not done anything to cause it and we were fine then exploided to this. [ready to jump off a cliff emotion]

ellielou02 · 11/03/2009 19:26

well done on A sleeping through, sometimes I just wish I could have a day in bed with no one to think about but myself. Was it you that is going away for a night?

ellielou02 · 11/03/2009 19:35

Have just read back the thread, vbab that place looks really good I hope you get some much needed rest soon it sounds like you need it and some time with just you and DH may recharge your batteries, has your DS settled? Its horrible when you cant settle them down especially when you are not feeling great yourself.
