I will link some pics on facebook after Sunday - I still have no idea how to post pics on here it always crashes my pooter when i try .
My DB and SIL had a ceremony at home for DN no official bit just a day to make Meg feel special and include all the people that are important to her, they had a few poems and readings and 'god' parents too. I understand what you say about the family issue though Pinky

ruthosaurus · 11/02/2009 22:23

PS, congrats on fabulousa boobs, Barbs!

Y'know, someone reading this casually might think you've just unveiled your new implants.

barbareebaa · 11/02/2009 22:25

lol!

naming day sounds like a lovely idea!

Dozymare · 11/02/2009 22:35

Nice to see youposting missdee hope your brood are all wel....

All our baies are gorgeous, I msut try and add some links to mine, but like you buzz my computer always crashes......plus,. dopn't want to keep them up forever....how would I do that???

twinklingfairy · 11/02/2009 23:26

I may not be posting very often these days, but I too panicked when there was no link on the last thread.
Please don't leave me behind

I feel like I am just dropping in, posting a 'me' post and then disappearing again. I honestly don't know how you others, with more than 1, can keep up. I just can't!

There again, perhaps if I wasn't going through a crazy 'making' phase, I might have time to read.
Have finished a mas hoo sive knitted blanket, two cushion covers, have a mei tai on the go (must remember to get matching thread) and I am attempting my first 'proper' cardi for DD.
Hence I am up to midnight most nights!
Doh!

But I love you guys and I try to keep up but it just goes mad through the week. Weekends I can just about keep up with!

Must also try to get pics of J up, but they are just too big. No Idea how to make 'em smaller.

LackaDAISYcal · 11/02/2009 23:38

the old thread had run out before I could post the link twinkling.....not meaning to leave anyone behind, honestly

You sound busy. I have a pile of unfinished knitting/cardmaking/art projects stashed all over the house because of MN!

OP posts:
Ceebee74 · 12/02/2009 08:38

Morning all

Twinkle lol at you in a 'making' frenzy! Unfortunately I am the same as Daisy - when I was on mat leave with DS1, I started typing all my recipes onto a database (I had loads of scraps of paper knocking around), I then discovered MN and 2 and a half years later, the database is still half done and I still have scraps of paper with recipes all over the house

LB wow, that christening sounds fab - but very hard work!! Have you roped in lots of helpers to help with the buffet?? Can't wait to see the photos.

Pinky lol at DD1 being tethered to you forever - did you ever tell your DH what happened? I am thinking of maybe going to the cinema at the TC next Tuesday - they are showing 'He's just not that into you' which I quite fancy seeing -anyone want to join me? It starts at 11.30. (Can someone tell me what the etiquette is with the Mum and baby screenings - can you take your pram actually into the cinema? Do you park it in front of the screen? And do you have to hold your LO for the entire film?)

Right DH is working from home today so taking full advantage and going to the gym in a mo - then I am meeting a friend for lunch

juanitad · 12/02/2009 09:05

ceebee, I went to a mum and baby screening yesterday - I had my car seat clipped on to my pram base, which I took into the cinema with me and parked next to me - I sat at the end of a row. As P was sound asleep, I left him in the car seat until he woke up, then held him for the rest of the time. You'll have a fab time!

LolaBella · 12/02/2009 09:38

Morning all Fab thread title but no ginger over here either. Dp and i are both dark haired although dp's grandfather was very red so there was always a chance.

Talking eye colour. Has anyone's DC's eye colour changed yet. Oscar\s are still blue and i'm so hoping they stay blue as the entire of dp's family has brown but i have blue and would love him to inherit some qualities from me

Baby screening round here too every Wed. It's great. We try and get there early to sit on front row as there is more room for a rug etc. Plus Oscar is in awe when the 'big TV' comes to life

Baby massage for us this morning at my house. Expecting six ladies and babies shortly.

Loving the cute piccies too. We Nov ladies did have a cute set

AFingerofFudge · 12/02/2009 11:53

Phew. Finally managed to put a couple of pictures on my profile of the boys. Used to think of myself as being fairly computer savvy, you know in the old days when my brain still worked. Anyway, done it now.

Still wondering if anyone has any tips on first jabs. M has his tomorrow. Calpol before or after? Stiff drink for me before or after???

AFingerofFudge · 12/02/2009 11:55

Oh sh**. Told you my brain dropped out my head when I wasn't looking. Just checked my profile, the photos are on there ok, but check out what it says about kids!!! Durr! Ah well, sure some of you could do with a laugh. I know I could!

ChocOrange05 · 12/02/2009 12:01

Fudge I waited till after the jabs I didn't want to give him calpol unless really needed. Both times he's had them he's been fine straight after but then gets really unhappy about 3/4 hours later which is when I give calpol. I know some ladies give it before. Also if you are breastfeeding, giving a feed after is good to calm them down. Good luck, I cried a little too when M had his 8 week jabs .

juanitad · 12/02/2009 12:14

fudge, I would echo what choco said - I waited until after to give calpol. P had his jabs in the afternoon, and I waited to see how he was. By bedtime he was quite grumpy, so I gave the calpol then.

Rosa · 12/02/2009 13:12

Found you .... Thanks for all the lovely comments on minirosa she is having a bit of a grumpy snotty day - dd1 cold passed on but it is at teh back of her throat and she does some horrible coughs.. She has no temp and is eating ( frequently) so we will live with it ! I want my hair done as well but I can't fit it in round feeds and can't take her in ( no pram space) Am trying to find a mobile one that will come here and not doing very well.
Its a lovely sunny day here cold but great - may it last !!

PinkyMinxy · 12/02/2009 14:25

Fudge your boys look fab!
lol at you expecting twins next month- bet that was a suprise!!

ceebee you were absolutely right of course- I blabbed all about it to DH straight away

Baby cinema sounds good. DH could take DD1 and DS to soft play for a bit.

I was going to say, daisy I know lots of cinmeas do kids screenings- its just 2 pounds per ticket. I was thinking of trying mine with one, then it's not such a waste of money if they get bored after a few mins. Don't know if they let you take babies, though.

PinkyMinxy · 12/02/2009 14:27

Oh and Fudge I'm a wait and see on the calpol, too. If any it's usually in the evening, but Im only needed it for her first set.

Had my mirena coil fitted today- not as bad as I expected.

Pinkglow · 12/02/2009 14:42

I keep meaning to take Henry to baby screenings but dont have access to the car if DH is working.

I did take him to a sensor class today though which Henry LOVED - so much so that hes still asleep. He couldnt sleep at 12pm as he kept smiling and talking to me in a really excited way it was so cute.

I gave Henry Calpol before the jabs - but still needed too 3/4 hours later so I think next time I wont.

Henrys eyes are still blue - but then mine our green so I think they will stay blue.

juanitad · 12/02/2009 15:06

pinkglow what's a sensor class? Sounds v interesting.

juanitad · 12/02/2009 15:11

how awful - just seen on the news that Kym Marsh (Michelle in Corrie) gave birth to a baby boy 18 weeks early and he died shortly afterwards.

Pinkglow · 12/02/2009 15:16

I just saw that - thats terrible

Oblomov · 12/02/2009 15:49

Oh dear, thats sad, about kym Marsh.
Just got back from meeting Cricri and Autumnlady at Bluewater. Ladies, I had such a nice time. Looking forward to the next one.

Pinkglow · 12/02/2009 16:37

sorry forgot to answer your question - heres the link for it

www.babysensory.co.uk/

I was looking for baby massage classes and came across it and thought it looked abit more up Henrys street. Its just basically small activities not lasting more than 5 mins - things like the bubble machine or balls with flashing lights in. Henry was mesmorised but then anyone on here whos met him knows how he likes to look at things

juanitad · 12/02/2009 17:04

Baby sensory looks fab pinkglow but unfortunately there are no classes anywhere in Yorkshire! Shame! Oh well, we're doing baby massage and baby swimming classes, so I reckon that'll keep us busy for a while!
